  1. Excellent observation old chap! : )
  2. Is there a reason why most of these seem to be twin bladed? I ask because electricity as a utility tends to be delivered as three phase and converting it after would be a point of issue.
  3. I still think this is going to require something a little more sophisticated than carbon nano-tubes. I should make a 3D animated proposal for the seeding process, but I won't 'cause I don't have the time, so I will not imply that this might ever happen; I still need to do the math on the damn Darrieus Windmill. But I have a few ideas where all I'm seeing on this is a lineup of partial statements . . . . we are going to even though we still have nothing. I'm not included in that we! : )
  4. Curse you zorro, my grandmother used to sing that to me . . . . . . :<
  5. So just for discussion purposes what about Gamma rays emitted by K-40 or even the highly improbable neutrino emission? Gamma roughs to ~0.5 - 500m, I don't know what frequency of gamma. . . . I would assume we are already using gamma telescopy to search for life . . . . or have at least proposed it!
  6. There are two forms of hydrophilization--I should have probably linked this page--commuting(visible obstruction in imaging) and non-commuting(non-visual obstruction in imaging). In either case the pressure within the ventricles increases as a cause of increased hydrodynamic pressure, not as a cause of blockage which if I am not mistaken is exactly what you have been discussing. I don't think I can add any more to this thread so I will have to leave it to others or yourself to work it through . . . have fun!
  7. Alcoholism is a disinhibitory disorder that often promotes the individual to be a little more truthful than the average human being. When you include tourettes I think the possibility of such a patient might become even more probabilistic. However, confining the disorder to an inability to lie as being an only symptom is more improbabilistic. To be solely incapable of lying would be more a learned characteristic. I guess another possible tie in here would be OCD, but again it would manifest in a more broad fashion.
  8. Blurred vision and headaches!
  9. Try these two and reference a text to fill in the blanks: http://actachemscand.org/pdf/acta_vol_04_p1450-1463.pdf Lygeros, Nik, Paul-Valère Marchand, and Marc Massot "Enumeration and 3D representation of the stereo-isomers of alkane molecules." Journal of Symbolic Computation 40.4–5 (2005): 1225–41. Print. The second does a pretty good job of detailing the history. **but skips derivation up to more current stereoisomer research . .. . ***when did Alkyne<=>Alkine :/
  10. I think of crystals as repeating decimals. As for the general formula I suspect there would be a couple that could be developed and would most likely consist of the most appropriate arrangement of nCr as in combinatorics; I've personally never touched combinatoric chemistry. Do you know the answer or was the question genuine? : D

    Interposons?

It's an interruption gene segment e.g. interposon [math] \omega-Km [/math] inserted into the unique [math] BglII [/math] site . . . . localizes gene expression. Use your schools library search tool to find the usage in journals and derive an answer from what you read. I derived my definition from reading a number of journals, the example provided came from a study on P. putida "Localization and Functional Analysis of Structural and Regulatory Dehalogenase Genes Carried on DEH from Pseudomonas putida PP3." I'm not citing it, it is late and I only noted their usage not any descriptions; I prefer to avoid this sort of activity myself.
  12. Given the present state of calculating real time electrodynamics I would imagine it would be over a hundred years to complete a run over chemical space--most likely much, much more. We could start 1% of the worlds computing power on this now and probably not see the end until 3000! I mean look at proteins it isn't simply constitution but it is also all of the folding and the slight variations. Make that 4000 unless serious advances are made in computing. I don't even know how to put an upper bound on this????? What compound has the highest number of atoms in it?
  13. Read the following two pieces in their entirety and then make your own opinion: http://www.nervous-system-diseases.com/aqueductal-stenosis.html http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1027258/?page=1 the first describes what the second is discussing as one of many possible causes of schizophrenia. What you are talking about is generally not considered a cause of schizophrenia. You say this like it was suggested somewhere to be the greater underlying symptom of the disease and I simply do not see where this is coming from!

  15. Maybe you could draw the parallels for me? I wasn't quite clear on where you were placing Iran's importance within these arguments. I personally feel that Iran should not be attacked. I actually believe what they say, I feel they are much more intelligent than to militarize a nuclear arsenal. The logic follows from the fact that escalating will only see everyone dead including Iran. How is nuking the neighbour not going to negatively impact Iran, acts of war in this respect are somewhat nonsensical. I think Israel should back down, and if they don't I think the world should defend Iran not Israel. There are sufficient technologies that can be employed to deescalate the threat posed to Israel in the event of a nuclear attack and I suggest that they begin their research and employ them. I would also like to see an investment in Iran's efforts in seeking other forms of nuclear power sources of energy such as Thorium. It would be a bold move on their part. Sorry if I went off topic! I see Israel as a liability based on its position and how it is addressing the issues. They are escalating and this is going to cost everyone. In my opinion if they wish to stay in the good with the rest of the world they need to redress their issues.

  17. I'm sure you can appreciate how I might have misinterpreted your statement, regardless thank you for clarifying that. I should probably be clear on why I assumed you meant Israel was in fact trading oil original sentence: They are an ally and a critical trading partner within a highly volatile region that supplies us with a much needed source of energy that is central to our entire economy. Broken down: They are an ally. They are a critical trading partner within a highly volatile region that supplies us with a much needed source of energy that is central to our entire economy. They are a critical trading partner within a highly volatile region. They are a critical trading partner that supplies us with a much needed source of energy that is central to our entire economy. Godspeed my friend! I think that evaluating a nations worth in determining their eligibility to be an ally is admonish-able. I don't think the value of Israel will ever come into question should there be a need to take sides or to step aside and allow the course of nature to progress on its own. Has Israel even asked for or discussed the possibility of requiring help from America? **value as an ally
  18. And you are implying that this supposed secretive group is somehow an asset to either nation?
  19. Americans import oil from Israel?? In what capacity, I see absolutely no reference to Israel. Is this a transport issue? Dangerous Delusions . . . right? Vive la Canada!
  20. Firstly I said 'if', and this was mainly because I don't feel this in fact the case . . . . that is all! **pressures caused by hypothalamus are on the pituitary . . . . . *** points back to contrapositive statement and the importance of its existence . .. . --separate posts--- I wanted to concede to the point about a lot of pressure being negligible in terms of an effect, but then what is a concussion but a build up of pressure by fluid in the meninges???? There still isn't a pressure but on this thought, I thought I understood and then I didn't???
  21. If the thalamus and hypothalamus are being affected on then yes someone could go into a trance state. The thalamus could distort all sorts of sensory inputs going to the brain causing disorientation and a general lack of awareness. In addition if the hypothalamus was under pressure or diminished--either or--flow of hormones could be reduced and lack of thyrotropin-releasing factor would cascade to see a drop in triiodothyronine T3 and thyroxine T4 in the blood causing a system wide shutdown of metabolic activity, slow breathing etc.
  22. I would think that if the ventricles were the cause of hallucination in schizophrenics that the more likely cause would be disruption of thalamus activity. The hypothalamus also lines the third ventricle so I would assume this would be affected as well. If there was an increased pressure in the ventricles this pressure would really screw with all the signals going through the thalamus, including the signals sent by the eyes. Pressure would also wreak havoc on the hypothalamus and therefore the central control center of the endocrine system. Eye movement deficits could be caused by the same pressure being applied to the mid-brain as this would directly affect eye movement in response to stimuli. At the same time enlarged ventricles would suggest that all of these central components of the brain are somehow reduced. I believe the septal nuclei, the connection between to the hippocampus and the hypothalamus, is also in this region and is believed to affect the onset of schizophrenia. I suppose swelling in the hypothalamus could be a cause of pressure in this region, but this tends to be associated with headaches and blurred vision. "At the same time enlarged ventricles would suggest that all of these central components of the brain are somehow reduced." <=== was meant to be a contrapositive statement . . .
  23. Sorry to hear that!
  24. The Endocrine system breaks modularity . . . . what to do? ¯\(°_0)/¯

By that I mean, sounds like a pathetic excuse to not proceed with such evaluation.

Home now after evening out (in uk). Soon be bed time (in uk) soon going to bed - seen smiley - lol.

  25. Rosetta Commons is my favorite current example of this--that I still can't use. It's not as you say but it folds proteins and performs binding. EPM solvers and so forth exist, and my engine that I've been working on for two years now will--maybe in ten give or take five--one day be operational. The answer is basically now but has been in infancy for some time . . . . . . I wonder how long it will take the first chemical space cyber run to complete!
