Well that explains the commercial, I was like, but it's already 3D. They have phones and stuff too, so then there must be a certain standard for professional 3D still frame equipment. Apparently the first single lens 3D still camera released to the standard market was by Sony last year. I'm feeling a bit behind now, I guess that's what happens when you give up television and watch commercial free content only. I remember an arcade game back in the 90's being holographic . . . . I'll have to incorporate 3D rendering and manipulation into my scientific computing engine!

Ha, so did I. Probably one of my few toys, I can't believe I forgot. It's been over twenty years since I've seen one. That's awesome guys! I think though for present day stills on someone's mantle, there would be need for technologies to allow those who are viewing with glasses to see 3D, and without to see a normal picture. Full 3D holograms are a pretty cool idea and realization of full spatial recordings would be mind blowing. I was just thinking though, with respect to the new 3D market. Maybe we will be seeing 3D photo albums and stuff. The technology might still be rather impractical with its need for the glasses. Who would want to put on the glasses every time just to see someone's family photo?

Are we going to be seeing a trend towards cameras that produce stereoscopic stillframes? I haven't seen or heard anything yet about a move towards a new format. How would everyone feel about such a move? This would be especially exciting if still's could be printed in full colour spectrum holographic, which they can't. I wonder when professional photographers will make the move. . . . . or at least offer the option! 3D Stillframe picture viewers lol . . . .

Conclusions drawn from two monoscopic images taken at different perspectives will be far more accurate than conclusions drawn from one monoscopic image. The bulk of the maths required within any of the algorithms used will for the most part be limited to simple trigonometry. Linear transformations and transformation matrices are a great asset to any software development that involves graphical details or object/world transformation. Compiling the information withing a monoscopic image is a detailed process despite the relatively simple maths. Compiling a solution to this problem is intensive and requires that a number of approaches to several problems be facilitated. Comparisons of several points of reference, within identifiable objects, need to be made with respect to light sources and scaling.

I don't believe solvation is entirely dependent on ionization, as entropy doesn't depend on ionization to accomplish itself. I can't predict this given my limited skill-set and would have to resort to experiment, or third party sources. +1 like the question

Could you give more details with regards to your limitations? Why inorganic? This can be quite the limiting factor. Why melt? I know the product you wish to produce is called a melt, but what do you expect from something that melts as opposed to dissolves? Is it necessary that the compound act specifically towards temperature in the absence of water? Bentonite or Montmorillonite does not adequately fulfill your needs? It can be incorporated to give a few of the properties desired in such a product, is inorganic, and is not slippery to the touch when mixed with water . . . . .

We know that there are 13 possible committee members including John. Assume that John has been selected and that we need to select 2 more from the remaining. Case 2: How many committees is Vanessa on? We know that there are 13 possible committee members including Vanessa. Assume that Vanessa has been selected and that we need to select 2 more from the remaining. Case 3: How many committees are they both on? We know that there are 13 possible committee members including John and Vanessa. Assume that John and Vanessa have been selected and that we need to select 1 more from the remaining. Now how many are one or the other on but not both?? Combinatorics and Permutations often involve a good deal of dissection to come to the proper answer. Be prepared to break the problems down into individual cases to get the figures required to combine the results appropriately and come to an answer. Spread sheets are really not the proper way to come to a solution, even though it is an approach that can be taken.

Yes, nCr is combinations and nPr is permutations. Anything that is 'AND' is a multiplication and anything that is 'OR' is addition. These are basics of math that you are most definitely going to want to become familiar with.

You can do 34 nCr 5 with Wolfram Alpha. On a TI-83 the nCr function is [MATH][PRB][3] . . . . . As I recall a decent downloadable freeware calculator is currently not available. Maybe one day I'll have one I can link, but regardless, Wolfram Alpha does everything and then some.

We used to cut our trees down in our backyard forest, deep in the middle of no-where Nova-Scotia. I can still remember as a kid, things happening, like porcupines falling out of the tree, or my mothers hands bleeding from trying to cut down a spruce. There was nothing like a real tree though, especially when there's a couple of feet of snow on the ground. They smell so great, and look amazing with red satin ribbons, popcorn strings and white lights. I think the fake trees are best left in California. . . . fake trees kind of ruin it for me. My father is an advocate of fake trees, but he lives in a temperate snow free climate, so understandable. I don't think Christmas is the same without snow. I wonder which is more eco-friendly? I would assume the real tree . . . tree farms and all!

35 nCr 5 = 324632 This is a big number??? Looks right to me Lotto 6/49 odds are 49 nCr 6 = 13983816 which is what is claimed to be the odds of winning the jackpot. I'm sure you know how to AND the bonus number in as well . . . . . When I'm unsure about something like this I review the concept so that I become sure. There is nothing worse than getting into an exam or something and freaking out because you can't quite remember straight. Just sayin'!

Will the project remain in design phase? Are you exploring possibilities with the use of new technologies or are you looking to design something solid with a long list of redundancies? Is there a budget? Most options for interconnecting the campuses involve expensive third party services. It would be interesting to find alternatives to this problem. As action at a distance is not even a passing thought, lasers come to mind. This would only be interesting in terms of the exploration of the idea only. Communications regulations are prohibitive. This brings us back to expensive third party services. I'm sure Verizon can provide some MAN connectivity with all the bells and whistles . . . . . . . .. . . Yes, as it stands they will only be achieving low orbit. I'm not sure what the proper definition is for outer-space. I would hope that this is far enough from the planets surface so as to see the planet as a whole. I guess it isn't really far enough to be considered low gravity either. It would simply be Zero-G as seen from a free falling object, kind of like the nose diving plane. I will have to spend some time looking into these proper terminologies. Get my space feet wet, in preparation for possible future events Honeymoon, in low earth orbit **sigh**

After reviewing yesterday's episode online, the following was said: Q: How much longer until we see some travel into outer-space? Richard Branson: Months not years. A few months before next Christmas anyway. So pretty cool, but as moo said the date keeps changing. I can't see this being delayed much longer though. To continue delaying the date would seriously jeopardize any credulity and so on . . . these things take time right?

Again, I just thought it was exciting and was wondering if I heard right . . . . . a launch schedule would be great, sure! I didn't understand your point about TMZ and research. Richard Branson can say whatever he wants, it's his space ship. I used to have a list of things that I would do if I ever got into space. Most things on the list would require that the craft be my own or that it be a 'private' flight. An example of something that would be comparably similar from another list of mine would be my dream of being tethered to the back of a plane by a bungee chord, with a companion. My in flight space dreams are much more exotic XD

I'm not sure where you were going with this? I had looked at the site, as I noted, but couldn't find the expected dates of departure. Google brings up different things, but Richard Branson saying a couple of months on television is pretty exciting and I expect that things are well on their way. I remember when the project started. It was kind of cool to hear that things were happening, present tense. I'm sure most of us here would love to occupy a seat on a future flight!

I just saw Richard Branson on TMZ say that Virgin Galactic will be shipping passengers into space in a couple of months. Can anybody corroborate this, their site is not specifying any details? I may simply have just misunderstood the statement. The volume was a little low! I think this is pretty cool, and at $200,000 it may be something I might be able to do within my lifetime. Something worth considering . . . . .
