It's just a concept car, it's called the Biome. How much effort they actually put into realizing something like this is, probably a well guarded secret if they are at all serious. There must be something behind the curtain though if they are actively showcasing the idea as a concept at trade shows.

And power steering! Currently similar technology is being used for mass transit, as I'm sure you are already aware. Maybe some of the quoted figures might be an indication as to why we don't make the sudden leap to maglev passenger vehicles. Tracks are a bit of an inconvenience as well. My opinion on this is we're going to see a slow progression towards the use of mass transit by the greater global population. I'm personally sick and tired of seeing such a high percentage of my surrounding landscape allocated to roads and vehicles. The constant nagging world gloomy doomy is a bit much as well. Assuming there is no move away from passenger vehicles there are a few things that will be addressed as you have attempted to do so. On-board intelligence systems will be coming into fashion over the next decade and has already begun with assisted parking. There is current investigation into charging electric vehicles through magnetic strips embedded in roadways. There are also a few dozen projects investigating maglev for passenger vehicles that doesn't require any sort of track, and so on . . . . I just read a concept of BMW's in where the car is grown from a seed --word-- !

These units play disks, and a few might stream. They target a market where the optimal experience is preferred and streaming isn't necessarily the best way to achieve this. Individuals who build quality systems also tend to be collectors and the disk format fits well. Earlier you mentioned the price of disks, "we knew how cheap the disks were". This isn't necessarily true. Quality disks are very expensive and prints of films are almost always released on quality media. Cheap disks are a nightmare, something most noticeable when doing info critical data backups. 3D is just an added feature of that player, the player itself is still their better model regardless. You would need the proper TV to view in 3D.

Anything from: - Denon - Merantz - Cambridge Audio - Onkyo - Harmon Kardon - Oppo but these are high end players and can range anywhere from $400 - $1000. These players are fitted with nothing but the best components. The only thing with these are they tend to be a little behind in terms of next best thing where currently many of them still do not support net streaming. Maybe check out Denon's DBP-1611UD which does support streaming. It's their entry level model and runs for like $400. Just make sure the player carries all the features you require. Like with Denon's DBP-1611UD, it doesn't have 7.1 Analogue Outputs. --- or --- If you still prefer to stick it out on the budget side but get a player with a higher success rate, go . . . . . I bite myself for saying this . . . . Sony. I have had bad experiences with Samsung and am a bit disappointed about their current product. Reviews for Samsung haven't been so great either. Reviews for Sony have been excellent. Hell you might even want to go PS3 . . . . Sony 3D Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player -- BDPS580 or BDPS780 Avoid entry level budget units they come at a price of cheap components that tend to not hold up under all circumstances! I guess with Sony it's like their Trinitron TV's, and the PS3, I guess they make the occasional decent product. Just be careful with them! my #1 choice

I have a Blu-Ray drive in my crate and HD looks really good on a monitor! Compressed video is lossy, but I guess the difference is dependent on the viewer and if he or she feels one way or the other about it. I haven't used Netflix yet and I found iTunes a bit of a pain and somewhat disappointing; D/L speeds were excellent.

It is most likely not a format compatibility issue. It is more likely that you bought a cheap piece of junk whose lenses or something else in the transport are glitched. What model? Honestly it's like a printer, why pay $150 a piece for five printers over ten years when you can buy one for $500 and it will last ten years. Blu-Ray is most likely not going to be displaced before the end of this decade. Holographic disks will probably be making their appearance over the next few years ( appearance. ) *** usual disclaimer ***

No, time is non-linear there is no pause simply moments of spacetime and where time dilation would account for the variation between velocities. . . . . . If I am traveling with infinite velocity I will not pause on any cell! I'm gunna have to drop out of this thread, my mind might start falling apart.

I think that if you want other people's input you might want to break your thoughts down into smaller pieces and ask individual questions in the main forums. As it stands I can't do Tensor Mathematics that involve Hamiltonian's and Poisson Distributions and awesomeness like that. Targeting one issue: A clock in a CPU simply acts as a trigger to step the stack. Are you suggesting then, as I have implied before, that time is triggered and that each cell cascades the original input which occurs at the edge of the Universe, or are cells individually targeted as in the sink interface?

Apologies, I was overly assumptive and made a poor choice in my wording . . . . . I meant with regard to internal cell structure. No cell division takes place in a non-septa Hyphae cell, only division of the nucleus takes place. Forgive me? *poutty face*

I'm not provoked, generally speaking I have little feelings for any of these matters. You asked for thoughts and opinions I did my best, I guess. The lack of maths though generally suggests an incomplete preposition. Really as much as your thoughts say, they don't really say anything; at least that I can make sense of. I can't take these thoughts and produce values for which I can test against. My notes were simply the questions that came to mind from what I had read. I'm hardly a credible opinion though so don't take my comments personally or offensively. I still don't follow where the donations are coming from. Externally from where? Is there a central source? Are you suggesting the donations come from the dissipation of neighboring cells? My brain is now mush . . . . . . So waves are non-linear?

Nothing? Coenocytic Hyphae are identified by their lack of internal cell wall structures and become multinucleate upon division?

I can understand distributed terminal services that remote simply a back buffer and IO functionality. A distributed OS would be redundant and a general waste of resources everywhere. I shouldn't have to download Windows every time I turn on my PC. . . . . . and this is exactly what you suggest by a "Web based Operating System." By definition an OS defines the operation of the machine which suggests the continued presence of a machine. What would remoting these definitions accomplish? Again totally understand the idea of a system of terminals whose applications are remotely processed, but not a system whose computing methods are remotely served.

Defining your project for the readers is going to be, for you, the best way to get a properly informed opinion! Adobe Illustrator is a very powerful piece of software and is considered by many to be the superior product. It's hard to start assigning its features to your tasks however, because I do not know what you hope to accomplish. If you are unsure if it is vector drawing that you require or if you would prefer to avoid spending any money, I would first look at Inkscape and see if it does what you need it to. If you require precise numerical control over your lines I would use AutoCAD's Map 3D. Granted this is an expensive alternative, but consider it an investment in your own future . . . . . Above all AutoCAD will give you precision and control. In terms of presentation viewports will make many of your tasks much more manageable. I'm kind of curious what you mean by "Previously i have used powerpoint 2007 which basically did the job" because it's sort of unfathomable that you were generating maps for a degree program using Powerpoint alone???

TV: I have just watched every episode of Eureka and Warehouse 13 ever made and these were the best sci-fi shows I have ever seen. Of the Star Trek series my favorites were Enterprise and Voyageur, the Original and Next Generation were fine but the above two made me feel . . . . Honorable mentions The Edison Twins and Sliders. I hadn't watched Firefly, but Serendipity was win. Movies: This is so hard because I've seen every movie ever made but . . . . - Cube - Moon - Children of Men - Resident Evil - Time Travelers Wife - Close Encounters of the Third Kind - 2001: A Space Odyssey

1 a) Where are these clock donations coming from, a Sink Interface? 1 b) If it is internally derived what prevents two distinct spatial cells from operating at different frequencies or to lack synchronization? How does this relate to the invariance of physics under inertial frames? Time dilation is important but is far from the only thing that relativity delineates . . . . what happened to spacetime? 2) How does this theory hold in terms of the wave principles of Quantum Mechanics? Can we align to grid? 3) Photons do not have mass, do they still occupy space? 4) How does the pause explain and maintain kinetic and potential energy? 5) Is there conservation of clock donation? Where is this energy being dissipated and recycled? 6) What happens to Calculus? Dammit . . . . >.<

Not quite what I was saying. I'm just rehashing bits and pieces that I've read, but as far as I understand attempts are being made to answer certain questions through quantum gravity. As a consequence we then have to answer questions about whether or not spacetime is also quantum. I have no opinions on any of this as as it stands I'm not sufficiently equipped to have an opinion. Maybe fifteen years from now I will be able to formulate an opinion. Suggested research topic "Quantum Loop Gravity", "Spin Networks" and "Spin Foams"

It is curious that you should begin with a quantization of time. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong in what I'm about to say! It is to my understanding that time is accepted as a property whose value is a product of a continuous function, or there is little interest in time as a discretized property. But gravity has yet to be properly addressed in both general relativity and quantum mechanics. Some of the present attempts to tie the two together involve the evolution of the idea of Quantum Gravity. But in developing such an idea we are then left to question time, space, spacetime . . . and whether or not these natural properties are themselves discrete. I just thought it was curious that you began with time and space as opposed to what appears to me to be the mainstream norm of beginning with gravity. I believe this paper is an example of where mainstream science is forced to address issues of spacetime given a quantum gravity.

I guess I won't be getting any friend requests .. . . : (

Yes, I am Xittenn again! \o/ No, I posted this today . . . . I could have made the background guy an alien . . . . . and the we'd have irony!

DEEP REFLECTIONS - Future Proof of Aliens - Beka:D Just thinking out loud I guess. After reading: Alien Thread Prime Number Formula I thought it was a funny idea that could seed some thought, maybe a few funny jokes. Thought experiment I guess . . . . nerd humour, of a sort; buzz kill :/

Dude did you see that prime list they had . . . . . . 50 years before quantum processors . . . . . . must have been aliens! >:|

Unloading the driver from the amplifier during the initial charging phase would only serve to delay the inevitable discharge over the driver. Any additional circuitry used to minimize this effect presents debris in the path of the outgoing signal. Expensive equipment minimizes this effect at the power source. The rails are brought up to operational potential gradually as opposed to immediately. Unless done properly such circuits also only serve to add debris . . . . limiting this phenomena, generally produces more undesirables than it is worth in eliminating the effect. The effect is generally considered benign with exception to equipment where the investment becomes more apparent. Just for example I used to have a Yamaha AX570 amplifier, which was one of the better ones made by Yamaha. I used it to drive a pair of Energy 5.1e tower speakers, also one of the best produced by it's respective producer. A quick google shows the many reviews of each . . . . My friends used to find my thump impressive!

I had a friend once . . . . Dekan did too apparently :|
