    Nice SFN Logo

Who blike? hehe Say blike, have you gone in the chatrooms lately?
  3. Science of mind is what brings that which cannot be named, because structure hinders the studier from comprehending the mind in it's true state, as opposed to a bag of satsumas.5 kilos and assorted nuts and bolts which only hinders Anna Kournikova from showing her true fiendish, but perfectly shaped flask containing Ethyl Alcohol. Therefore, the only reason Weetabix lacks a certain resonance is because MUTANT TUNA FISH have taken over ScienceForums the natural mating habits of the admins breakfast cerial(s) are directly proportional to American PI. Now the evidence of this radical statement : fafalone the great is a Cerial Killer, and YT will now be castrated for spelling serial wrong. But what NavajoEverclear doesn't know is that
  4. I think they will soon. When is the next version of Windows coming out?
  5. That's what people think wormholes are too. on a sidenote, omgosh, do you find that movie freaky? I watched it for a while, but later got sidetracked b/c i had to do something else. but it's SOOOO gory!
  6. take an "Empty" used Can. Would chemicals from the previous contents stick to the insides of the aerosol can?
  7. Dudde said so. Right?
  8. oh, like Homer Simpson, and have to clog up the cuts with tissue paper hahahaa
  9. hehe there's the archive here too: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1159&highlight=jokes

Well, just wanted to say cool logo to whoever designed it. 2 thumbs up from NSX!! BTW, Merry CHristmas to all of you, or if you don't celebrate Christmas, HAPPY HOLIDAYS (since => no schoooool!!! :D:D:D) [edit] why is it sfn? what is the n for?

  14. What is shaving cream for anyways? I haven't shaved once yet; yeah, i'm 18, so it seems like i'm growing a beard
  15. We studied the behaviour of light (a specific EMR) through different types of mediums this semester. Here's some stuff we learned: Some practicals are: - Light always bends towards the normal of a surface if refracted if the density of the second boundary is greater than the first - Incoming light rays, depending on the angle it hits the surface can / will reflect and / or refract. - Angle of incidence = angle of refl'n Formulas: - Snell's Law: (sin:lctheta:1) (v2) = (sin:lctheta:2) (v1), :lctheta:1 is angle of incidence, :lctheta:2 is angle of refl'n, v1 is initial speed of light ray in medium 1, v2... - Another form of Snell's Law: (n1)(sin:lctheta:1) = (n2)(sin:lctheta:), n1 and n2 are the indexes of refraction - Some more Snell's Law: (n1)(:lclambda:1) = (n2)(:lclambda:2) - the index of refraction for any medium is def'd as: n = c / v; c => speed of light in vacuum, v => speed of light in medium Reference: Physics For Scientists and Engineers 5th Ed. - Student Solutions Manual & Study Guide. Serway, Beichner. Ch. 35. p. 270--272 I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, but I hope it helps somehow. I'm also not sure if I referenced right, but I was too lazy to check the SF guidelines. If it's not right, someone PM or correct it please. [sidenote] note to blike, or fafalone, or whoever else takes care of SF ; when i clicked on the theta and lambda, it got a message like this: The page you requested does not exist on this server (/forums/java%20script:opener.smilie(':lctheta:')). 404 ; but when i copy & paste the code, it works. ie. :lambda: or whatever it was. Is it a gecko only thing? I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7[/sidenote]
  16. muhauhau SI prevails again. hehe Is America the only country using Imperial stilll?
  17. Here's the question: 2 point charges q1 = +5.00 nC and q2 = -3.00 nC are seperated by 35.0 cm. What is the potential energy of the pair? The answer I got was 3.85 * 10 ^ -7. I ignored the signs (+) & (-) of the charges and reasoned that it's b/c the charges attract each other. But the answer in the book says it is -3.85 * 10 ^ -7 since energy must be added to seperate the charges. I thought potential energy is the energy needed to bring a particle from point A (infinity) to some finite distance B. If it's (-), then that means work needs to be done to bring these 2 together. But I reason that since they are opposite charges, they d o not need any additional energy to keep them together. Well, thanks in advance for any replies. :/
  18. SI!!!!
  19. cools Are those the type @ the grocery store?
  20. *ahem* adam?
  21. That's how it is. That's how skeptics think. Unfortunately, you don't accomplish much by just thinking about it; put something into action!

    Adolf Hitler.

My old history teacher like Hitler's methods of portraying his views, but didn't like Hitler's principles.
  23. hehe For sure YT! Sleep is soooo important; I should sleep more; i miss so many lectures b/c I sleep during them
  24. So I presume you're a 15-16 year old right now? hehe Actually, pre-calc is really important. It lays a good foundation for what's to come. I think it's amazing that you have a whole year to spend on pre-calculus. I didn't; as a result, I'm learning alot of new stuff that was supposed to be material already covered (ie. Last year, i thought dy/dx was just a symbol for the derivative of y w/RT x. Now with differentials, i know it's a small segment of y divided by a small segment of x..) Enjoy it jordan while you still can!!! Get high marks! hooray! ugh, now i have to go do some volumes of revolutions
  25. IT's exactly that, a theory of our origins some many years back. What's there to explain?
