My younger brother is in grade 6 right now. He's just finished his fall term, and they learned about ecosystems, biotic classification (there's another name for this, i just forgot it...), and simple acids & bases.
I think most Unversity students are req'd to know introductory Calculus.
Go for some calculus topics; it's lots of fun & has plenty to research on;
For easier stuff, check out limits, theorem's related to limits, continuity, etc.
It's been widely thought of whether everyone has a soulmate or whether it's simply a means of reproduction for finding a mate. This article details what types of chemicals are involved during the love process, and its effects on us.
Included in the article are viewpoints and facts presented by various people.

We did something like this in Gen. Chem.; balancing Redox RXs in basic or acidic sol'n. But your examples are kind of different. I don't see where the Na's come from...
Well, w/ the Redox RXs, you add H2O, H+, and OH- accordingly, but I'm not sure how to apply it for your examples...
Sorry.
Well, gramatically, your topic should be Affecting brain efficiency
hehe
I'm not a real BIO expert either. But, I have empirical evidence (myself ) that your claim could be correct. I guess b/c I think more about my hunger such that I can't concentrate on the task at hand.
Hey guys. I wanted to begin to study about well, Biology in general as a hobby, but in secondary, I never took anything remotely similar to Biology since grade 10 general science.
Are there any books you could recommend to me?
Any sites? Methods to learn?
thanks.
vendingmenace is right; you don't need a calculator for calculus, but it does help when picturing the properties or description of a function. my TI-83 really helps.
but have no worry, here's a program Graphmatica that allows you to play around with functions. I've used it since secondary. It's a reallly great program. I deduced how to find derivatives and definite integrals from it.

You say you want to learn the very basics. How your knowledge of mathematics up to this point?
heh
I was reading about that last month or so, when I drifted off topic.
Here's the site i was reading: http://mathforum.org/isaac/problems/prime1.html
Most notably:
As far as your question goes, I'm not really sure, but I suppose the theorem implies something . I hope that site helps.
As for the avatar? blike said it had something to do w/ the forum shift.
:/
i like how science gives a non-subjective view on things in life.
also, how we can find out so much about our environment using reasoning in the sciences
Cools. I'll have a crack @ it on the weekend.
I think if there's a FAQ or readme posted, it should be alright. THere's always deductive reasoning to find out how it works
________
ON a sidenote, what program(s) do you guys use to convert from word to pdf?
I downloaded it yesterday, and they sent me the ID or whatnot today. The MS Word one is quite good. I haven't try MathML yet. What's different from it & MS Eq'n Editor?
