  1. Lowest temp I know is -273.15 C, or like you guys say, absolute zero. Just to add on to glider's comments: The group led by Wieman and Eric Cornell made the first Bose-Einstein condensate in 1995, at a temperature just 200-billionths of a degree Celsius above absolute zero. Now, with experience, they've learned to make them at the "balmy" temperature of one-millionth of a degree above zero. http://whyfiles.org/052einstein/bose.html 200 billionths of a degree it seems like we can achieve. =/
  2. I'm just wondering how you guys remember these derivatives; I mean, d[sec(x)]/dx = sec(x) tan(x) isn't as easy to remember as d[sin(x)]/dx So yeah, do you guys remember the tan & inverse trig derivatives just as formulaes? Or you use them so much that you it's already in your head? Or...any strategies?

  6. What exactly are differential eq'ns[/i]. I've been meaning to ask my phys teacher, since that's where we've been applying it, but haven't got around to it since I wanted to look it up a bit first; but other courses have been...lagging my intuition
  7. Are there second integrals as well? I mean, dy^2 / d^2x is the second derivative of y=f(x)

  17. Aerospace Engineering is a very nice program indeed. Very much suited for your airplane fanatics. However, as reality shows, aerospace is a very limited field. My friend loves airplanes, and he's in Aerospace Eng. @ my U, but he's now considering switching into Mechanical Engineering b/c of the job market.
