you mean numerical method is useless if the quadratic has complex roots ??? Not always sometimes you can reason through it for instance find the roots of x^3+16x where y=0 Other times you'll wreck your head trying to figure them out.

Using the generalized quadratic formula for polynomials of degree 2. [latex]ax+bx+c[/latex] [latex]x^2-12x-28[/latex] Sub the values for the variables into the generalized quadratic formula [latex]\frac{12\pm \sqrt{-12^{2}-4(1)(-28)}}{2(1)}[/latex] [latex]\frac{12\pm 16}{2}[/latex] Finding the roots. [latex]\frac{28}{2}=14[/latex] [latex]\frac{-4}{2}=-2[/latex] No it is useless if the quadratic has complex roots like this one X^2-5x+25.

Can average people have gifted children?
fiveworlds replied to Hans de Vries's topic in Psychiatry and Psychology
That's totally me I suck at languages. Hence why I am only really fluent in 1 language I can muddle through in french too but i'm not very good. -

Yeah big brother never went to lectures he did study online though. Me though I suck at college because I am ridiculously irresponsible and bad at communicating with people. (i.e insubordinate). I'd be the guy who goes into a practical test and falls asleep. -
Yeah. My mom is near-sighted but my dad wound up being far-sighted so they had both near and far sighted children.

Can average people have gifted children?

I don't put much stock in IQ tests and such to be honest if that was the case I'd be a perfect maths genius and I'm a stupid dunderhead. -
You have multiple options. You can A) Get a company to publish the book for you B) You can get the book printed and publish it yourself Once you have decided on a title. You can A) Hire a graphic designer to design a cover page for you and potentially a logo as well. B) You can design the cover yourself. (May not work out less expensive if you are bad at art) You need to decide on the media you would like to publish your book on. A) Internet B) Audio Book C) Paperback D) Hardback You need to decide on how your book will be marketed to the general public. A) In book stores B) In conferences C) Facebook D) Twitter E) Radio F) Television Of course there is various costs associated with each of these and it completely depends on your country. Many bookstores such as easons will allow you to self-publish your own book but you have to make contact with them yourself and they have to think your book will sell. http://www.easonhelpcentre.com/knowledgebase/self-publishing/ You should also properly copyright your book.

What's a memory stick? NOT flash drive
fiveworlds replied to silverghoul1's topic in Computer Science
Yeah, this is the part where you start flinging more and more semi-relevant details at the thread, rather than simply acknowledge you were wrong. Oh right ok I was wrong. -
Ooh sounds like a new anime for me to watch :-)

What's a memory stick? NOT flash drive
fiveworlds replied to silverghoul1's topic in Computer Science
It's true that what Sony sold as "memory stick" varied in physical size, but the memory card for the PS2 was never part of that range. The ps2 predated the memory stick range they changed the name from memory card. The ps2 used flash memory. There was lots of wasted space in the memory card. http://cs-companion.ru/igrovoj-mir/istoriya-igrovykh-konsolej/pyatoe-pokolenie/1620-sony-playstation-lider-sredi-konsolej-pyatogo-pokoleniya.html -
You could try the unreal development kit. But i can't see it being much easier than unity to use.

What's a memory stick? NOT flash drive

They are probably flash memory for ps1 or ps2. Ps3 and Ps4 used standard PC hard drives. -
So I recently heard about this syndrome which states that there is some sort of a problem with chromosome 17. But also that it is typically not inherited but occurs in problems with reproductive cells (sperm or egg) or in early fetal development. How would such a mutation occur?

Argos uses a catalog. You can search their catalog using the ordinary levenshtein distance method which then gives you that product's specific serial number. You can then buy products by writing the serial numbers on a piece of paper and bringing it to the desk. My question is, how should I tackle this? I think it's like putting input("Enter brand: ") into a certain variable and then attaching that variable to a class To a cookie actually. You would create a database containing all your stuff with model, brand etc then you can run a search which basically selects all of a specific brand or price. Or a number of brands Heinz and Batchelors etc. Whether you use mysql or not is up to yourself. http://www.tutorialspoint.com/python/python_database_access.htm

As pavel said, there are three constants to find, not one Using the method I was using I found the parabola 3x^2-6x-24 Which gives @x=-2 (12)+12-24=0 true @x=4 (48)-24-24=0 true @x=3 (27)-18-24=-15 true

Beans06 what you need to do is find any parabola to do this take the two x intercepts and any point. Say x=3 and x=7 with the point (22,156) Then change the sign of the intercepts and write it like this y=a(x-3)(x-7). Then sub your point into the equation given. This allows you to calculate a which will give you the equation of a parabola.

Isn't it that any observation to support the expansion is based on light. It is based on the light from the observable universe. There is also the unobservable universe the rest of the universe we don't know about.

Clara Tanone - Q7: Are men more vain than women?
fiveworlds replied to Clara Tanone's topic in The Lounge
Absolutely not true. I have known plenty of women who would much prefer a sporty and athletic guy over an average man. To the point where they would make fun of the average guy and point out everything wrong with him. To get their perfect sporty bodies guys feel pressurized into taking steroids and protein supplements to help them get fit with little effort http://www.myprotein.com//our-range/protein.list?switchcurrency=EUR. Some guys feel pressurized that they aren't tall enough or their parents want them to get taller so they give them hormones to make them grow. The whole thing makes it rather unfair on the average poor male because they cannot compete with these genetically modified freak males. The disadvantages of taking such things does lead to heart attacks etc though but it can't be as bad as the average male leaving sports and doing something different. My country is actually the opposite we have one of the highest male suicide rates. While not the highest in the world if looking at total deaths by suicide the total ratio difference in deaths was the highest in the world in 1998. In 2013 it was estimated that 8/10 suicides in the country were men. I think a lot of it is to do with how people are raised. But certainly many men have felt that a massive weight gain in their partner makes them less attracted to them. Absolutely their is massive pressure in how you are seen to act. People are expected to behave in a suitable manner while the country may not have rules on it the population will not like you if you deviate from normality too much. For instance you should rarely use the word "kill" and you should not post videos of porn to facebook. That lady is the ugliest woman in the world. Most women do not fall into that category. She looks sick.- 1 reply

How long will this be the case ? Umm until somebody bothers making it I'm sure it can be done. Go games versus computer are available at the moment but it isn't fun if the computer wins all the time. :-)

My question begins here: If in the exact instant before the Big Bang, neither space time nor matter existed - just a giant singularity, how can it fluctuate, given that force carrier particles exist within space time? How is the information transmitted if there isn't space, time or matter? How can a singularity tell itself to fluctuate or how can interact with something that causes that fluctuation in a universe in which no space time or matter exist? If this fluctuation really happened isn't it a proof that matter and space time are just one state of the Universe and that the Universe has some other state in which it doesn't need space, time or matter (yet in this state it can still be dynamic, show some properties and indeed give birth to space time and matter)? A singularity is in theory a point in which the laws of physics start to break down. Nobody has proved they exist. Also I'm curious to know if Black Hole Singularities are theoretically the same as the Big Bag (being the only difference the amount of mass they accumulate inside)? Hardly the big bang theory makes the assumption of most of the stuff in the universe piled into one small spot. It's singularity if it exists would be far more powerful than a much smaller black hole.

Imagine a bug war almost invisible right in your office and kitchen. Imagine fitting one with a poisoned needle.
