  1. Well I'm in AP Chem so I have a pretty good understanding of what's happening. As for materials, mainly your basic household products or cheap materials you can buy at Wal mart or the likes. gilded- yeah that's the green fire I made. It was pretty cool.
  2. I've been searching the web for a while and have come across a few but wanted to check here to see what you guys would recommend. I like burning things and blowing stuff up. Obviously not lethal, but a nice bang would be cool. One example would be green fire. I did that for a Chem project last year. Anything along those lines would be great. Any ideas?
  3. Alright A= total annuity P= principal R= rate (as a decimal) k= # of times compounded annually t= time (in years) Nevermind I figured it out. Turns out I had the wrong formula in the first place...
  4. I'm teetering on a B/C line which is ok for now. It is a lot of work. The labs are the real killers.
  5. After taking just Honors Bio and Chem, I felt the Bio was much harder. Not that either was that difficult but it is much more conceptual than Chem. However, I am in AP Chem right now and oh my is it hard. I'm taking AP Bio next year so I can't comment on that yet. I'm taking Honors Physics next semester and then AP Physics next year as well. Based on what others have said, AP Chem is the hardest class in the school. At this point I can see why...
  6. Oh and btw its ^kt not multiplied kt. Didn't show up like that... Thanks say
  7. Ok so I'm trying to finish my Pre-Calc project and I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong. Here is the problem: I have a student loan for $32,016. For loan 1, the interest rate is 5%. Loan 2 has an interest rate of 6.8%. I am putting $400 each month toward the loan and am trying to figure out how long it will take to pay off each loan. Can anyone figure out what I am doing wrong? Obviously loan 1 will be payed off quicker but I keep getting loan 2 as the quicker payoff. I attached the problem. Hopefully it comes out ok. Thanks for any help loan problem.txt
  8. I like white on red/black background. But that's just me.
  9. lol works for me. I thought about that before hand but I always use hornedwildebeast and I didn't even think of a character limit.
  10. Ok so I have a lab to do and was wondering if this equation was correct. In the lab, Alka Seltzer was placed into acetic acid. I have to calculate the amount of sodium bicarbonate in the alka seltzer. I know that citric acid and sodium bicarbonate react in the seltzer, and CO2 is produced. Any help here? C2H4O2 + NaHCO3 + C6H8O7 -> NaC2H3O2 + CO2 +H2O I also have to balance it but I can do that on my own. Thanks in advance for any help. Nevermind I know that equation is jacked up now. Time to start over. Nevermind again. I figured it out
  11. Green fire is pretty cool. I did it for one of my Chem projects last year... http://chemistry.about.com/od/funfireprojects/a/greenfire.htm
