  3. Artorius, Tetrahedrite wasn't making an attack on religion, you've gone completely over the top there. He didn't make any coment at all about evolution disproving God or any other such thing If you have any evidence or ideas to show why you think that evolutionary mechanism is fiction please let us know, as far as i can see the scientific methodology is just fine. Understanding of DNA is advancing rapidly and backs the theory of evolution.
  4. Well, i've never heard Neanderthals described as 'exquisite' before. You have an interesting hypothesis that Neanderthals were actually gentle, cultivated creatures. But what is your evidence? From examinations of grave goods and excavated artifacts they don't show any particular cultural development that would back up those ideas. PS, it would be easier to read your posts if you used paragraphs.
  5. From the way he is behaving, i don't think so. More like gross unprofessionalism.

I understand what you mean about the difficulty of fixing a point and saying 'on this day abortion is fine, but one day longer and it is murder'. However that point does have to be fixed somewhere, even accepting that it will be by definition partly arbitarty. The point where you make the distiction is to far advanced for me. Saying that the birth must be fully completed means that it is acceptable to kill the baby if even one toe is still inside its Mother, while it would be murder the second the toe slips out. I can't believe that in reality this is something you would be happy with. Yes, drawing any line will be blurred and require moral compromise, but i am certain that that line should be drawn further back than the moment of birth.
  8. I agree with you about the link, complete drivel. However i am intrigued by your suggestion that the theory of evolution is wrong. I rather like the theory because as rather i see it explains the natural world so clearly and is universaly applicable. What do you see as it's problems? (i'm assuming your not just another fundamentalist nutcase so you might actually have some interesting opinions on the matter)
  9. Archaeological excavations, bone/skull measurements, examinations of grave goods, DNA analysis. Results reported in such mediums as National Geographic and New Scientist.

  15. How exactly is PETA targeting Aussie sheep farmers? And from my experience of those farmers it's going to take an awful lot to force them to change if they don't want to. Those people are independently minded and not easy to push around.
  16. Fair enough, but frankly Russians in other countries have Russia to go to. Balts and Ukrainians don't have anywhere else to call home. So my sympathies are strictly limited. And that doesnt really alter the case that Yuschenko is an honest man and Yanukovych is a corrupt, mafia linked ballot rigger. We really should stand up to gutless moral relativism that calls the differences insignificant and suggests we just wash our hands of it all.
  17. That sounds like the teleological fallacy. Anyway, looking at humans as a whole, i'm not sure they're so great, i don't consider that races pretensions to immortality daunting, instead i find them gruesome. Jerry Springer broadcast across the stars, not a future to dream of.
