  1. Sure modern EFI takes care of all that. Lower air temperature means denser air and more fuel required. MASS air flow sensor means what it says. It monitors the MASS of the air, not the volume. It is a heated wire whose current is monitored. As the air flows by it, it is cooled thereby decreasing the resisitance. But you dont want to preheat the air. You want cool air! thats why turbos often have intercoolers As for valve opening time. its called variable valve timing and is very common also. Usually linked to RPM but no reason it cant be varied for other reasons.
  2. I think that this attitude is a reflection on how the men view the men of their society. If I and the males of my group are encouraged to have promiscuous sex with many women, and show disrespect for them, then I will certainly want to shelter my daughter from them. On the other hand, if the men of my society show restraint and respect, then I will be happy to see my daughter courted by them. Indeed, in many of the societies where men shelter the women, the women gets most of the blame for having sex, the men are not required to restrain themselves. Very odd behaviour and standard.
  3. new note to self: Don't sign up to any websites where you cannot delete your account, and where you cannot read the instructions on how to delete your account before signing up! Every web site has a way to delete accounts, and yes their posts are removed.. so what? This is just a crooked way that websites can claim "millions" of users so they can charge more for adds. Like the song goes, "Once you check in, you can never leave" very dishonest.
  4. If God was omnipotent He would prevent humans from proving His non existance! If God was omnibenevolent He would spare humans from arguing about his existance!
  5. just search plasma tesla gun on youtube.
  6. Fun stuff. but what is the purpose? simply to create yet another way of killing someone? How big is this bullet? You know the body is mainly water, this device would have to boil away lots of water before it could burn whats left. You would have to have a hell (as in burning in hell! ) of a lot of incendiary material to do anything.
  7. RC systems are very cheap now. You can get 2 channel RC toys for $30 or so.. even less. You cannot make them any cheaper.
  8. then for the lever on the right side, distance from force to fulcrum is 29 distance from load to fulcrum is 7.5 the force advantage is 29/7.5 for the secod question correct ,but dont confuse people Draw always the lenghts from force or load to fulcrum! Force to fulcrum =30 load to fulcrum =12 advangtage is 30/12 =2.
  9. You just have to go to a public swimming pool and dive to the bottom of the deep end to feel the pressure on your ears! The reverse can also happen. A scuba diver who takes a deep breath and fills his lungs on the bottom of the pool, and goes to the surface with out exhaling can suffer an air embolism (burst lung and air entering the blood stream) due to the pressure of expanding air in his lungs. Yes the earth's gravity causes our atmosphere to be pulled and stay on the earth otherwise it would dissapear like the moon or mars! The weight of a one inch square column of air at sea level is 14.7 lbs! As you go higher there is less air above you and therefore the pressure per square inch is less. Pressure does not make us lighter. It is the boyancy of the air that makes us lighter. This is called Boyle's law. If you weigh yourself on a scale, you will measure your mass minus the mass of the volume of air that your body displaces. This difference is trivial when we weigh ourselves but may not be trivial in precise measurements or scientific experiments. This is also how boats and hot air or helium balloons float. If the pressure is higher, then the mass of the air that your body displaces is also higher and you will be boyed upward a tiny bit more! But this is such a small unnoticeable amount. As far as feeling the effects of pressure, even if you dive very deeply the pressure does not affect the liquid or solid parts of your body but only air cavities such as lungs or sinuses and ears, or air caught in your intestines. You can experience this also in a plane. I get sinus headaches in a plane! Also when at higher altitudes, because of lower pressure, less oxygen gets pushed across the air/blood interface in our lungs and we have difficulty performing physicaly... we get tired! If you live at higher altitudes for a while, your body will compensate by producing more hemoglobin. Hope this helps.
  10. Yes you can apply electrodes to the head and use brain waves to control things. Via concentration..and practice, you are controlling the various brain waves. It has been done long ago and you can buy a Luke Skywalker Force control toy that does this. But if you are asking if we can wave our hands and control electric power and shoot out thunderbolts like Darth Vador, thankfully, no. Same NO goes for quack energy healers such as Reiki The easiest way to control electricity with our bodies is to use our fingers to flip a switch!
  11. No, hair does not have any ferromagnetic properties. However, it can hold a static charge as you surely have noticed when removing a wool sweater... or rubbing a balloon on your head...or touching a van degraff generator while shaking your head. What are you trying to do? By the way electric charges are not attracted or repelled by magnetic fields. Only moving charges, for example in the form of electron beams or a current in wires are affected by magnetic fields.

    Spark

Seems you used Google Translate! what language was the original question? What was the original question? Perhaps you are asking of you can apply a static charge to a piece of carbon, so that when it comes near a surface of opposite charge it will spark? Sure why not? Unless the "charcoal pellets" are too small to hold enough charge.
  13. This topic has been well researched and I believe experimental vehicles models flown. Not for long distances, but for example, keeping something flying constantly above a fixed location. Harvesting the radio and microwave radiation transmitted around can power small devices... Expect some real products that use this technology to appear within the next few years. I am sure you could do a google search to find information.
  14. Don't the moderators automatically delete any thread on perpetual motion machines?
  15. kinda a long answer... you would have to develop metalurgy and smelting technology. Copper for conductors, iron for magnetics if you want to make generators. Tungsten for lights, but then you would also have to develop vacuum pumps also! Or use carbon arc lighting that was invented before the incadenscent light bulb anyway. Voltaic piles is just a fancy word for battery or cell. The french word for cell is pile. Dissimilar metals. Usually zinc and copper in an acid would work fine. May be faster to build a raft and sail your way back to civilization!
  16. the mechanical advantage is always the ratio of the distance between the forces and the fulcrum. In the left hand section, it is a class 1 lever with the advantage being 20/10= 2. In the right hand section, it is a class 2 lever with the mechanical advantage being 21.5/8.5 = 2.5 I am assuming that the 21.5cm distance is from the force to the fulcrum and NOT the force to the load. This is often a mistake in interpreting or drawing the distance. Is the lenght of the bar 21.5cm or 21.5+8.5 cm? In this case I am assuming it is 21.5cm so the total advantage is 2 x 2.5 =5
