One sample a month? I would want at least one sample a day to do that effectively...

Zapatos is indeed correct, the creature could not have moved that fast, and to explode because someone poured a couple ounces of root beer in it is not reasonable. On top of that while I am not exactly a expert in marine biology (it is a hobby of mine and I take my hobbies quite seriously) i do know enough to know that creature is not part of any known phylum on earth, it has characteristics of several types of animals and is either a unique animal that any marine biologist would give his right hand to find or fake. i vote fake for sure...

Has google and you tube lost it's collective mind?

And I thought facebook was annoying... I am beginning to look for cameras when i go into the greenswamp, maybe attached to the backs of alligators... -
I know i am not the most net savvy person but for some reason you tube has begun to demand I join google plus before i can rate a video and has eliminated the negative rep button. Is this true for everyone or am i missing something?

What is your justification for believing in a God?

I was kidding mooey, i thought a little humor might lighten things up a bit... -
Well if I found out who put the cross hairs on a picture of my face they should start worrying about cross hairs being on the back of their heads, i am sneaky and see no reason to give the other guy any chance at all if it comes to that, but I have to agree such statements or illustrations are or at least should be illegal... as for the rape or aids or what ever, if that's not good reason to at least detain the person for questioning I can't imagine what is...

Hmmm, around the came fire talk? Something like, "like wow man, what if, like, our entire universe is, like, one atom in the finger nail of a giant and one atom in our finger nail is, like, a universe too man" ? Sorry i couldn't help myself... I think there is something to this, I have read, and I will if anyone is interested try to find a link to this, that it has been theorized that at least some of what we now call religion came from shaman who used psychedelic mushrooms and herbs to contact the spirit world. In at least one case study the shaman would eat the mushrooms and then everyone would drink his urine to get the filtered effects of those mushrooms... eeewwww... but hey it was Siberia and the winters were long and boring and mushrooms were scarce and this way they could be used over and over... -
Do men think about women more than women think about men?

I was at a festival on the river last week, it was quite windy spring day, and due to a very strong wind coming in off the river a wide variety of female under garments was on display as well as the lack there of. Funny how the carpet so seldom matches the drapes, of course at least two young ladies had taken care of that by removing the carpeting completely, I guess purple drapes was just too difficult to find an excuse for the mismatch... When I was young I was unaware you could think of anything else... -
njaohnt.... How insulting, the program actually admits they cannot prove anything at around 07:00, if you seriously cannot do any better than that then I don't see any reason to continue to even discuss this. i will point out that the bible is demonstrably wrong about so much it calls into question everything else to anyone who has any flicker of rational thought. just because some of the people and places in the bible can be verified does not prove anything. I could write a story about alien invasion of New York City and use the names of real people, real places and even real events but it wouldn't the make the alien invasion real. I mean seriously.... I want my 10 minutes back on that one...

totally fake...

njaohnt, believe it or not cancers do disappear on their own and it happens completely at random and naturally. I'll watch your videos as soon as my computer stops stuttering...

I can in all honesty say I have never seen or even heard of such a place, I doubt they exist...

I just ate a piece of strawberry cake made with fresh strawberries locally grown that disagrees with you and makes a rather impressive argument for real food... -
And you said you were not here to convert us... God, at least your version of him, is a monster who delights in trickery and in making the goal unobtainable, do you really think it's fair to blind the very people who need the sight the most? So sad....

here is a great video about the above topics and how they relate to each other..

Feel free to point out what my condescending assumption is... Just claiming I am making one is not evidence I am. I pointed yours out, you assume that because I do not believe i have in fact never given your religion a try when in fact i have. This assumption that if anyone would just really try to have faith they would see it your way is not just condescending it is arrogance of the very sort that brings on the very worst of what religion is... Not only that but you are also assuming that all who call themselves Christians agree with your appraisal which is also false, Christians have been dehumanizing people who also are Christians for almost the entire life of the religion. It still goes on today, the Jehovah's witnesses claim that the baptists are wrong the Mormons claim they are wrong the Catholics claim they are wrong bullshit... only a secular government that protects everyone's rights prevents it all from going back to killing each other over who is right and that's just Christians... stir the rest of the worlds religions into it and you get a nightmare that never ends...
-
Again with a condescending assumption.... get this into your world view, a great many atheists have indeed had faith at one time or another, i grew up very religious, I loved it until the contradictions and hypocritical assertions got thick as granite... I am not a kid who has just started to look, i am an old man who has looked very hard, when you are old it's difficult to not look very hard. If you have doubts just keep telling your self it's Jesus and eventually you will believe it? Horse feathers... I take a dim view of lies and lying to myself is just unacceptable...
-
Again, the insulting assumption I have never given religion or faith a try. So far all we have to go on is the accounts given to people who have converted, even Buddhists, who is i am not mistaken do not believe in a personal god, report the same peace and joy and change of world view that other religions claim you get by "truly" believing and converting...

What is your justification for believing in a God?
Moontanman replied to Realitycheck's topic in Religion
No, fundamentalism was not just a huge misunderstanding, it was the law of the land for centuries, centuries of horrific crimes against anyone who did not believe the correct way, constant wars against groups that other disagreed with, Only the gelding of the Christian faith by secular governments allows you see the gentle side of it as the basis of it. You only need study history to see it's true colors... -
Mainly because they get the same things out of their religion that you do... I'm not sure what you are saying here...
