I completely agree with you. It just won't make any sense for Silkworm to send his own letter. The first letter is a community effort, so Silkworm is welcomed to contribute to it. He seems to think that we are going to fight against him. I don't think any of us are going to fight against him unless he writes something that goes against our purpose. What content do you think should be added that we don't already have? There is a place on the wisci page for suggestions. Although some of us might disagree with something you say, if the overall community believes that the suggestions are good, we will add them to the letter. If we refuse to add your suggestions to the letter, then it means your suggestions are not very good. So, you want to control the community, not work with it. You need to wake up and stop acting like a king! You aren't any better than the rest of us! There are some points in the letter that I don't completely agree with, but you don't see me running away to start my own letter. I understand that I'm working with a community, and I need to think about what the majority of the community wants. Stop throwing a childish fit because everything isn't going your way. Think about the community, and realize that you probably aren't the smartest or most important person here. I really hope that nobody supports your letter after you abandon the letter we are already writing. We hope for our letter to be endorsed by lots of people, so it will have much more of an impact. If you just send your own letter, who is going to pay attention? Your letter will be hidden in the shadow of our letter. If you have anything good to say, I suggest you add it to our letter if you want it to be read. Exactly. Silkworm should just explain whatever is making him angry about our existing letter. If he has a good suggestion, the existing letter will be modified for him. He has already helped write some parts of the letter. I'm interested to know why Silkworm is so sure that we are going to go against his new suggestions. He must be planning to say something that he already knows is wrong or just ridiculous.

No. The first N64 cartridges had 32 megabytes. That would be more than enough to save all of my most important documents, and a few pictures. The N64 was made back in 1996, so companies could probably make some with even more capacity today. The main reason I think cartridges are a good idea is because of durability. SD cards are great, but they look like they can easily be broken in half. Try breaking an old video game cartridge in half. I've tried it before when I was trying to open a N64 cartridge. It was impossible for me to break it. I started hitting it with a hammer, and I only made a few dents. I kept trying to cut it with various sharp objects, and it took me about 1/2 an hour to get it open. Can you name one other type of storage media that would be that difficult to break? I hit a CD with the same hammer, and the CD just shattered into hundreds of pieces. That's really not that impressive. I also have a hard drive that's about 10 years old and it still works. Some of my cartridges are over 20 years old. I really doubt that a hard drive would last that long under regular use. I've tested this, and magnets don't appear to affect cartridges. I still believe that cartridges are more durable. I'm not talking about replacing DVDs, SD cards, or flash memory devices. I'm just saying that cartridges should be an option for people who want to ensure their data can be stored safely for long periods of time.

I think the cost would be worth it, considering that you will know that your data should be safe for at least 20 years. It might be even longer than that, but my oldest video game cartridges are only 20 years old. I once worked for a company that was trying to recover data from some floppy disks. The floppy disks were only about 10 years old, but all of the data was corrupt. I tried to recover the data, but nothing worked. The data wasn't extremely important, but I'm not sure what we would have done if it was. Now, some research teams estimate that burned CDs may only last around 20 years. If that's true, cartridges might be the safest place to keep data you will need for a long time. Many companies and individuals would be willing to pay the extra cost if they realize how durable the cartridges are. Do you think you could ever boil a flash memory device?

Does anyone have some video game cartridges from some of the NES, Super Nintendo, N64, Genesis, or Game Boy systems? I think that computer companies should find ways to increase their memory capacity, and then use them as storage media. The only problem would be the capacity. I think the largest video game cartridges were 32MB for the N64. If their memory could be increased, they would be much better than floppy disks, CD-ROMs, DVDs, or flash memory. This is because I think the cartridges are much more durable. I was reading on a video game forum where people were posting stories about some of the things that have happened to their cartridges. Many people told stories of them going through the washing machine and the dryer. One person said that his fell out of the 5th story of a tall building. Another said that he lived in Alaska, and lost the cartridge outside. The ground was completely covered by snow, so they had to wait months for summer to come before they found it. In all of these stories, the video game cartridges still worked perfectly. I wasn't sure if these stories were true, so I decided to test an old Game Boy cartridge that I rarely play anymore. First, I wanted to make sure it was water-proof. I filled a sink up with water, and let the cartridge sit in there for a few minutes. When I pulled it out, the cartridge was completely full of water. I shook most of the water out of it, and then let it dry for a while. When I put it into my Game Boy to test it, it still worked perfectly. Next, I tested the cartridge's ability to stand the cold. I put it in the freezer for about an hour. When I pulled it out, it had ice on it and I could tell it was frozen. I let it warm up for a little while, and then I put it into my Game Boy to test it. The cartridge still worked perfectly. Finally, I tested its ability to stand the heat. I put it in a pan of water, and actually boiled it on the stove for a while. I had the temperature turned up all the way on "high". After it boiled for a while, the sticker on the front of the cartridge was faded. The outer case of the cartridge was also slightly deformed from the heat. I still put it into my Game Boy to test it. To my amazement, the game still works perfectly! This shows how durable these cartridges are. If you go to a yard sale, you will probably find lots of old video games. The CD-ROMs might be all scratched up, and they normally won't work anymore. However, I can find some old abused cartridges and they usually always work. I have some cartridges made in 1985, and all of them work perfectly. The fact that they can take so much abuse would make them a great way to store important data. Why don't computer companies make them and sell them to the public?

I just don't think it is a good idea for you to write your own letter. If you can't write something we agree with, you probably shouldn't write it. Besides, it will just seem confusing if two different letters are sent around the same time. It will look more professional if we all send one organized letter. If you are fighting against us, it is because you are writing something that you shouldn't. Our purpose is to point out the incorrect or misleading scientific statements made in the video. If you have anything to contribute, I think you should add it to the main letter. We aren't going to fight against you if you are mature and professional about it. If you write anything in your letter that we refuse to add to the main letter, the people who receive your letter probably won't waste their time reading it. In fact, if they receive our letter right after yours, they might think both letters are from the same person and just delete it. That is why I'm concerned about you harming our reputation.

I don't think there is anyone. Everyone thinks I'm crazy or just weird. I think I'm a little crazy and weird too, which is why I want to change. If I could be someone I want to be, I would also probably be someone she wants me to be. I'm not talking about being a bully, or a mean guy, or anything like that. I'm just talking about becoming a normal teenager. Right now, everyone thinks I'm like a mad scientist who never goes outside. I don't even know where to begin...

I already found her, and I've been talking about her in the last several pages of this thread. The problem is me, not her. She is like a perfect angel. If someone like her doesn't want to be with someone like me, what makes everyone so sure that someone else will? If I keep looking, the same thing will happen over and over again. I'll find other good people in this world, but none of them will want to be with someone like me. I'm the one who needs to figure out how to change. I need to be a better person, not just go looking for another girl to reject me.

I never said I wanted to be alone. That's just how my life ended up. No, I don't need to call her now. I see her everyday. I was talking about after school, when I won't see her anymore. How? The only time we ever talk is during school. If I tried calling her, she would probably hang up after she finds out it's just me. Most people would probably hang up on me. No, I'm not trying to make new friends. I didn't ask her out on a date because I'm desperate for a girlfriend. I asked her because she is special to me. I either want to spend time with her, or just sit here in my dark bedroom and rot. That might sound crazy, but I'm just not the type of person who goes out and makes friends. The only reason I have a friend is because she was friendly to me. I don't really remember the first time we talked to each other, but I'm sure she said something to me first. Well, I'm not sure if she actually makes my life "happy". Maybe she just makes it less sad. However, I do feel happy whenever I'm talking to her, especially when I see her smile. I'm starting to realize that after a month I might never see her again. She's a special person, and nobody will ever be able to replace her. You make it sound like I can just go out and find another person who I like. Sure, there are other girls out there who are nice and beautiful. However, I won't ever be able to find someone with her exact same personality.

Yeah... That just won't work. I will rewrite the last few paragraphs of the story, and make it slightly more interesting. I did have a version where a giant bear was chasing them around, but that just didn't go with the rest of the story. I think I can turn the last few paragraphs into several pages and make it seem more like an adventure story. That was my original plan, but I just got into a hurry near the end. I've actually written several stories. Some of my first stories were filled with a lot of action and adventure. I wrote a story two years ago about some teenagers who get lost on an island. There's a bunch of zombies and monsters there. It was a really good story, and it was based on a dream I had. In the dream, I kept running and trying to get off the island, but I kept running past the same places over and over again. The same thing happened to the characters in my story, but I made the story even scarier and very bloody. Everyone died in the story. I deleted the story because most people thought it was really gross. Especially the people at my school who I based the characters on. The characters in that story were my best friend, and some of her best friends. I used their real names in the story. I gave a copy of the story to my best friend, and then I asked her what she thought about it. She said, "Well... I liked it. Except I didn't really like all the killing and dying." I think she was trying to be nice because the story wasn't about anything except killing and dying. After that, she told me that I should try writing some love stories. Over the past few years, I wrote several love stories, but they weren't as happy as the new story I just wrote. Most of my other love stories were more about heartbreak, and usually either the girl or the guy committed suicide at the end. I still have those stories, and I'll upload them to my web site when I get home.

I actually meant for it to be a double negative. By saying, "It certainly wasn’t anything that Jason had never seen before", I meant that it was something that Jason had seen many times. However, I can see how it can be a little confusing when you read it. I fixed that, and I'll probably make some more grammar changes. I definitely want to change the ending. That is the one part of the story that I'm not really happy with. I was in a hurry because it was 1:00 am and I had to get up at 6:00 am to go to school. I'll be writing a longer ending soon. Don't forget about getting in an elevator, and then pushing all the button so it stops at each floor. I've never done that, but I've been in an elevator where someone else did that. The elevator was full, and there were a lot of angry people in there.

Yes, I think that is probably the main reason. Also, she happens to be the nicest person I've ever met and she's the most beautiful girl in the world. But, I still think the main reason is because she is my only friend, and I don't want to lose her after school is over. I don't think the girl I'm talking about will ever be a "trainwreck". She is really nice, has a ton of friends, and seems to be very mentally stable. If anything, she probably prevents me from going insane... Actually, I was much more sad before I became friends with the girl that I'm talking about. I used to sit all by myself at lunch, and I never talked to anyone at school. That was sad. I felt like my life was going down a drain. When I finally had someone to talk to, and be friends with, it made me much happier. She makes me happy, not sad...

No. It's not a "crush" or anything biological. I actually care about her, and I care about her feelings. Yes, I thought she was "special" when I first saw her. However, that never made me like her, or want to ask her out on a date. After I first saw her, I got to know her personality. She was always friendly to me, and that's when I got to know she had a great personality. I used to do a lot of stupid things, and other people just made fun of me. However, she was always nice to me. I also had a problem with this little nerdy guy. I used to argue with this guy all the time. There were a few times that he was close to getting in a fight with me. I never wanted to fight him, but he was crazy. Whenever he came close to starting a fight, the girl would come and scare him away. That was several years ago...

That might have been "biology", and it didn't mean anything. The girl I have been talking about is different. She is special in every way you could imagine. Whenever I try to tell myself that she is just a normal girl, I will change my mind the next time I see her. She is special. Normally guys say they get a new crush on someone every month or so. I knew there was something special about her even before I got to know her personality. Once I got to know her personality, that proved she is special. What are you talking about? Do you know anything about girls? Most of them don't want some creepy looking guy drooling all over them and saying in a stupid voice, "Uhh... You're hot." They want a guy who will say sweet and poetic things to them. This doesn't come from movies and books. It comes from hearing real girls talking to each other.

You are trying to give me advice about a specific girl, yet nobody here knows anything about her. Perhaps you have liked girls who are just like all the other girls. In that case, it would be easy for you not to care very much about them. However, the girl I am talking about is special. She is nice to everyone, and also a very caring person. No matter how bad my day might be going, her smile can always cheer me up. She is more like an angel than a human, but I'm the only person who seems to notice. What do you mean? What wouldn't I be able to emotionally handle properly?
