  1. After much research, this is my opinion of John Titor: He was real and came back to let us know that we were going to have a Civil War. His real plan was to make the government realize this, and make some changes. This was probably kept top secret so we never learned about it. Now, we are avoiding the Civil War because the government won't do whatever started the Civil War in John's life. We should all know the US government does lots of things without our knowledge. Just look at Area 51. Who knows what the government would have done if John Titor didn't come and prevent it. I am not against the government, but there are always a few people in any government that are completely out of their minds. John is a hero that saved us all before going back into the shadows of another timeline...

I don't understand your picture. All I see is carpet and a computer. It doesn't look like anything on my web site.

    Ghosts

The statements I make are scientific mysteries that are either in books, on TV (Not the Sci-Fi channel), or on multiple web sites. I thought the reason for this message board was to discuss scientific mysteries like these. Obviously a lot of people believe in rods or they wouldn't have been on a science-related TV channel. Scientists so sure that ghosts are not real. However, they do believe that we came from a family of monkeys a few billion years after a mysterious explosion created everything. Sure, there is no need to believe in mysteries. Everything can be explained if King Kong is at the top of your family tree... I'm not trying to insult scientists, but making fun of evolution is just like making fun of ghosts. There are many mysteries in this world, and scientists seem to believe in ideas that seem just as crazy as the ideas they deny. There is evidence to support all of these ideas. There is also evidence that makes these ideas seem false. Scientists seem to believe the evidence for some theories, and deny the evidence for other theories.

Yes, I know about that theory. It doesn't matter if you call them bugs or animals. The point is that they are still something humans have never been able to catch. They are called "rods". Check out http://www.flyingrods.com/galleryfl/index.asp They move so fast that only cameras can see them.
  6. I'm sure Da Vinci wasn't good at everything. Intelligence should not be limited to scientific or artistic skills. What about the ability to have friendly conversations with other people? A lot of people that have a large education do not have many friends. However, some of the people you say "aren't good at anything" may be very popular. Obviously they are good at social skills if they are popular. I believe that this requires a type of intelligence.
  7. It is unbelievable that you automatically say this is a hoax without any evidence of it not being true. Many scientists say that time travel will never happen because if it did, we would be seeing people from the future at the present time. Now, somebody claims to be from the future, and you call it a hoax!
  8. You probably think that different people have a different level of intelligence. When asked who the most intelligent man that ever lived was, most of you might say Einstein, or some other scientist. Einstein used his intelligence for scientific purposes. Therefore, it is much easier for scientists to call him a genius. However, artists can also be extremely intelligent, but they choose to focus on their art and not science. Intelligence is difficult to define. In high school, I failed the Algebra exam multiple times. However, I had perfect scores in both History and English. My History teacher told me that I was the only student he ever had that did that. He had been teaching for almost 20 years. I also received very advanced scores in Science classes, except Chemistry which had lots of math. I am really bad at math, and even looking at an equation can give me a headache. I'm also really bad at putting puzzles together. However, most people say I'm very intelligent. Even though I can't solve puzzles with more than a few pieces, I could probably take a computer completely apart and put it back together with my eyes closed. Intelligence can't really be defined by category. Perhaps all people have the same intelligence. When somebody is really bad at one subject, they are that much smarter in another subject. Could all human minds have the same capacity for intelligence, but the intelligence is used differently in different thinking patterns?
  9. You are looking into a reflective mirror. In the basement, there was nothing for the flash to reflect on. The wall is made of brick, the chair is made of wood, and the bed had material on it. Nothing is reflecting the flash. Another person took a picture with a completely different camera. There appears to be ectoplasm, a ghostly material, in the exact same spot that the ghost-like figure is standing in my picture. This is a different camera and a different person. Our pictures were taken on a different date. What are the chances of both of us getting a lens flare in the same spot? I have the other person's picture on my web site. It is at http://gettysburg.homestead.com/files/ghost2.jpg and it may take a long time to load. It hasn't been compressed, and it is a high quality picture. Look at the white object that looks like a X. It is floating above the bed.
  10. They were taken with a camera. Of course, you should be aware of the fact that cameras can see things that the human eye can't. You can prove this right now if you have a video camera and remote control for a TV. Press a button on the remote control. If you look at the remote, you probably don't see the signal coming out of the remote. Now, if you point the remote at a video camera while it is recording, you will see the signal coming from the remote when you watch the recording. Perhaps ghosts are similar to remote control signals, and can only be seen with a camera. However, the ghost books I have offer a different explanation. They claim that ghosts need energy to make themselves appear in our world. They can obtain this energy from the flash of a camera. However, when the flash is gone, the ghost disappears. This could also explain why I could only see them on camera.
  11. That law says that 90% of everything is fake, and 10% is real. That would mean that out of the 2,000 "Gettysburg Ghost" web sites, 200 of them are completely true. I'm going to say my site is one of the true ones, so pick 199 more sites and make them scientific laws.
  12. If you go to Gettysburg for just a few days, you will probably find something that can't be explained with current science. The exact event may not be reproducible, but analyzing other strange events may help you understand them, or at least believe them.
  13. I really don't know if there was any response from the soldiers in the hospital. I heard the story when we were on a ghost tour and walking by the building, and it is also in a book about mysteries in Gettysburg. I've never been able to talk to any of the teachers, so all I know is what is in the story. What makes you think they were misinterpreting their experiences? I thought you said you had your own ghost experiences.
  14. It was a school building that was built before the Civil War. I guess they made renovations and added an elevator. There must have been stairs going to the basement in the Civil War times. I never went into the building, so I don't know for sure. One thing that is known as a historic fact is that the building was used as a hospital during the Civil War.
  15. What would scientists consider to be compelling evidence? If you go to yahoo.com and look up, "Gettysburg Ghost" you will find 436,000 web sites. I looked at some of them, and I don't understand why so many people would lie about their experiences. There actually is a Gettysburg Ghost Research organization at http://www.gettysburgghostresearch.org. This web site has evidence on it. This includes strange voices and pictures. However, how can anyone make scientists believe this evidence is real?
  16. There are many people that claim they actually saw a ghost without a camera. For example, my Grandma said she saw a ghost walking in her bedroom when she was really young. After she saw the ghost, her family researched the house and found out it was built on a cemetery. I can't say that I ever saw a ghost. My only experience with anything ghost-like would be the pictures I took. However, my Grandma is not the type of person that would make up anything like that. Some people have e-mailed my web site saying that they saw ghosts with their own eyes. I don't think they were trying to get attention. Many of them would not even give me their name because they were so afraid their friends and family would find out and think they are crazy.
  17. Thank you for the link. I thought about the strange pictures being created by a lens flare. However, I just think that the first picture is much too human-like. If I was the only person to get a picture like that, I would agree that it must be something like a lens flare. However, lots of other people have taken similar pictures with their own cameras. I do believe in using scientific evidence to prove things I don't understand. That is why I was very careful not to say my pictures have "ghosts" in them. Ghosts can't be scientifically proven yet, so I call them "ghost-like" objects because many people would say they are ghosts. My web site was designed to make people come up with their own opinions about my pictures. Even though I don't call them ghosts, I would say they are strange "ghost-like objects" that are only found in places like Gettysburg. The lens flare example does not look like my pictures. Anyway, I think we are getting off topic. I would like to come up with some type of scientific explanation behind the "time travel" incident. I am not trying to say that ghosts caused the incident, or anything like that. I am just saying that this incident is one of the many unexplainable events that occur in Gettysburg. These events have been denied by scientists for so many years. I think the time has come for scientists to investigate, and try to come up with an answer. Only after a detailed investigation of these events can we say whether or not they really happen. There is no reason to deny something just because we have not been able to prove it. If there is enough scientific evidence to prove that these events are "normal" and simply exaggerated by the people that experience them, I will believe it. Until then, I am one of the few people that want to keep an open mind about these events. I really wish there was a way to get more evidence and post it in this message board. However, I really don't know the best way to do that. Even if I did spend large amounts of time and money on an investigation, how would I prove the evidence is real? I would probably be criticized for creating artificial evidence even if it is real. This is a subject that multiple scientists should investigate.
  18. Swansont, I did not mean that you are an ignorant person. You are probably a very intelligent person. I simply meant the fact you were denying the story was an example of ignorance. I admit that I have ignorance in some subjects. That doesn't mean that I am an ignorant person, and I certainly did not mean that you are an ignorant person. If there was any confusion in the way I said that, I am really sorry. I have my own evidence of strange things in Gettysburg. I didn't want to get off the topic of the time travel incident, but I took pictures that many people say are ghost pictures. I put them on my web site at http://gettysburg.homestead.com and I posted about them on this message board before. Most of you said that there was something wrong with my camera, and the pictures didn't mean anything. At the time, I actually believed that. However, I have had countless people e-mail me about my web site. They said that they have taken their own pictures that are very similar to mine. Look at the first picture in Jennie Wade's house. When I first took the picture I might have agreed that it was an optical illusion. However, other people have sent me pictures from the same house. In all of those pictures, there is a ghost-like figure standing in the EXACT same spot. It is standing beside the bed and chair. I've been to that house multiple times, and there is nothing there that could cause a reflection or anything like that. Now, I think that is enough evidence to show that Gettysburg is not a normal place. After gathering my own evidence, I have no reason to doubt other stories of Gettysburg. I have over 5 books filled with stories that different people have told about Gettysburg. Why would all of these people make these stories up? I know they must go against our logic, and everything that we believe to be true. However, if we never increased the knowledge that we know is true, there would have never believe the Earth is round.
