  1. Who is Dr Wolf Adler and where was his statement published? His statement looks like complete nonsense. That is a history book. It is describing old (and apparently very stupid) ideas that people in the past had. https://www.routledge.com/Bad-Vibrations-The-History-of-the-Idea-of-Music-as-a-Cause-of-Disease/Kennaway/p/book/9781409426424 This is a science forum. That sort of idiotic website is not really useful. I love it. Then you should look for some scientific research on the subject.
  2. Please provide references. Are these from scientific publications? Or, as appears more likely, religious websites.
  3. Our brains are not significantly different from other animals. We have some abilities that others don’t, and lack some capabilities that others have. No, because you have no evidence.
  4. Congratulations!
  5. It depends on the specific molecule
  6. Perhaps you can find an authoritative, peer-reviewed source to back up your claims? Instead of depending on the tabloid press who are not renowned for their accuracy or honesty.
  7. Why should we trust some random story, on a random website written by an unknown person (possibly you)?
  8. ! Moderator Note You posted the same thing before and then ask for the thread to be closed. Do not keep opening threads on the same thing.
  9. "[Aquagenic urticaria] is sometimes described as an allergy, although it is not a true histamine-releasing allergic reaction like other forms of urticaria." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aquagenic_urticaria) IT IS NOT AN ALLERGY.
  10. It is still nonsense. I don't know who these people are (the "famous French expert" Dr. Lycus Carl is so famous that there is no mention of him on the Internet). I wouldn't be surprised if someone invented the names to make these idiotic statements sound more plausible.
  11. I have yet to see any evidence that (a) this person exists and (b) that this anecdote is true. I think you have invented this story.
  12. Sounds like a lot of biased nonsense.
  13. I have no idea what "Montrel" is. And that link could be a work of fiction for all I know. As you are unable to provide a reputable source, I am sceptical of the whole story. Maybe you have made it up. Quite. Or she is faking it for attention.
  14. The Daily Mail is not a "news source". It is a far-right rag that mainly publishes fiction. I would not be surprised if they published something as idiotic as a "water allergy" story. But I am not surprised you are unable to provide a reputable reference to this case.
  15. The presence of oxygen in Earth's atmosphere is a result of the organisms that could do photosynthesis. This released the toxic pollutant oxygen into the atmosphere into the atmosphere that destroyed many other species. Humans are not very different from other species. We are very similar to other primates. We have a lot in common with other mammals. We have quite a lot in common with other vertebrates. We have some very important things in common with every other organism on the planet. Do you have any evidence for this?
  16. Rubbish. Here is an intro to programming inductive reasoning: https://ai.vub.ac.be/~ydehauwe/decl_prog/7_InductiveLogicProgramming.pdf And here is something on the use of analogy in AI: http://www.jfsowa.com/pubs/analog.htm
  17. ! Moderator Note OK. This appears to be exactly the same stuff you have posted before. There is no point in starting a new thread on it. You have failed to provide support for your claims before and I see no reason to expect you will this time. Closed pending moderator discussion
  18. As electrons are indistinguishable, I don't think these two can be distinguished. But there isn't really any reason think that it is not a particular electron moving to a higher energy level. (It might also be possible to describe in statistical terms as all of the electrons spending some proportion of their time at the higher energy level, I don't now.) (I'll leave someone else to comment on the last part as it is so long since I did anything with electron orbitals... )

  21. Indeed. I can only comment on what you wrote here. And that is all I will do.
  22. No you didn't. You came to express your religious beliefs. I don't actually care what you or any else believes. But if you tell me what you believe, I will tell you how stupid it sounds to a rational human being. Note that "ignorant" is not an insult or offensive. It is a statement of fact. You have clearly demonstrated that you are totally ignorant about evolution. You could fix that by learning, if you wanted to. But I assume your closed-minded beliefs will prevent you doing that. Also, I have been very careful to say that the religious ideas you have expressed are "ridiculous"or "stupid" (because, objectively, they are). I have not called you ridiculous or stupid. I think it is sad that you are not willing to learn about science. And odd that you come to a science forum to demonstrate your ignorance. You could use this as a resource to learn.
  23. I remember getting an anthology of SF stories from the library. Each story was prefaced with a little anecdote by the editor. At the start of the Hubbard one, it had the story of Hubbard going to his publisher and saying he was tired of writing fiction for almost no money and had decided to invent a religion because he thought he could make more money that way. (I wish I knew what the book was but this was more than 50 years ago!).
