What does that mean? Division of what? Can two cars not move apart without "division"? The "expansion of space" just means that the distance between things increases over time. You seem to be reading more into it than that.
-
The mechanism is the same one that causes gravity; as described by the Einstein Field Equations. There is no connection to quantum theory (yet).
-
They are not "proven". Nothing in science is proven. But the theory is consistent with experiment. To a very high degree of accuracy.
-
I guess you don't know what the word "logical" means. (The world being the way it is has nothing to do with logic.) i strongly recommend signing up for an introductory course in philosophy so you learn what the word means, how to use logic and how to construct an argument.
-
You could have posted those few paragraphs here, rather than a link. But don't bother. There is no science there. It is nonsense.
-
I didn't miss it. It is just you complaining that the universe isn't the way you want it to be. So you invent god to give you hope that things could be better. I imagine a great many people believe in their gods for the same reason. However, it is not a logical argument but a purely emotional one. (And therefore off topic :))
-
That is not a reference. You might as well say "a book" or "some bloke". It doesn't help anyone. Also, what did you want to discuss? Or are you just blogging/preaching?
-
Scientists do consider such models. Stephen Wolfram has written a book about his ideas on the subject. None of them (so far) work But such a model says nothing about the existence (or otherwise) of your god. So this is just another non-sequitur based on your lack of knowledge.

It is about as incoherent and illogical as your other posts. Why not try presentating a rational argument that is (a) based on evidence and (b) each statement has some sort of logical relationship to the previous. A series of disconnected and baseless assertions are not a good basis for intelligent discussion.
-
Yes, that confirms my point. Quantum field theory is extremely accurate and experimentally confirmed. So presumably your ignorance of field theories should not be blamed on the university but on your failures as a student?
-
What branch of engineering allows complete ignorance of electric and magnetic fields? Quantum field theory is a xtremely well supported by experiment. You seem to be confusing your ignorance for a problem with a physics.
-
What you, or anyone else, think is strange or unbelievable is completely irrelevant both to science and to your illogical argument for god. "I don't understand physics therefore god must exist" "I think the conclusions of science are strange therefore god" Neither of these is a logical (or even rational) argument.

What can be deduced without making presumptions!
Strange replied to Doctordick's topic in Other Sciences
Tar, none of that seems relevant as all Dick has said is that you can replace words with numbers (and the use these numbers in a probability function). That is all. He claims that this leads to some novel conclusions. But he is unwilling or unable to tell us what these are. -
Maxwell's equations describe the electric and magnetic fields, which remove the problem of action at a distance. Special relativity unified these into a single field. Planck (to explain the black body spectrum) and Einstein (to explain the photoelectric effect is quantised) showed that the electromagnetic field is quantised. The fact that quantum field theory works is all the evidence you need. You should probably learn a little history of science as well as some basic physics. But there are no photons present in the interactions you describe; only virtual photons which are completely different things.

As that is something you appear to have made up, I don't see why you or anyone else should believe it.

Indeed, babies learn language by analysing the probabilities of certain sounds and words appearing together, and their relationship to events in the world. -
As long as you agree that where there is a difference, science is probably correct and religious belief wrong. There is no requirement for them to be in conflict. Many (most?) religious people have no problem with evolution, for example. Or the real age of the Earth. It is only a few literal-minded and ignorant people who do.
-
In other words, you don't understand.
-
Or there just isn't a minimum distance or volume and it is just a figment of your imagination.

Citation needed.

This attitude that people are too stupid to understand your rather trivial idea is pretty offensive. Also, people are guessing what you are talking about because you refuse to get to the point. -

That is just yet another repetition of your idea and of replacing words with numbers. This is neither novel nor especially interesting. You seem to think it leads to something interesting. I am still waited no for you to explain what (and why) that is. -
It might be more productive to ask questions about things you don't understand. Rather than posting nonsense and hoping to extract something useful from the responses.
-
Sounds like you haven't really thought this through in any detail. Not sure why anyone else should take it seriously if you can't be bothered.
-
In other words, your idea is based on a worrying level of ignorance as well as a total inability to construct a logical argument. Impressive. So you think it is sensible to add any number of unnecessary extra things to a theory? So general relativity works very well but I think we should add some pink unicorns. And maybe some invisible gnomes. It will make it a much nicer theory.
