Tension i think your reaction is typical of any of us.Yet sometimes one should accept it with grace.He may be quite wrong and indeed you have alot to contribute,however his motive might be nothing more than giving you a common-sense opinion based on the assessment of your encounter.Honesty never sits well,however it serves to inspire or make one realise your energy might be better served in another field.If your neighbour only harboured envious thoughts of you,he wouldnt bother dissuading you,more encourage your wasting your potential. If my adversary was continually making bad moves in a game,if i was fond of him id let him know,if i was indifferent id let him make all the bad moves he liked ...and win!! hope this helps you feel better..go for it !!

read the article,and seen the film...however regarding the film,i was more interested in the twisting plot of his insanity than his theory(which based on the article isnt a theory after all,as we are all players in the game of life and have used the dinamics of the theory in everyday scenarios.Simply pointing out mathematically something which one takes for granted isnt ground breaking).. eg i excel at almost every strategy games and sports,unknowingly using his mathematical formula how nice.I'd whoop his ass at chess!!

In my opinion this argument or hypothesis as always failed to sell evolution..one knows evolution is fact,its the false understanding and the constant regurgitating of dogma regarding its mechanisms that i find disagreeable.Our brain is the most resource intensive organ in the body,to be successfull they is no logical necessity for it to be developed to its present state,to prolificate as a species.So many people hold that evolution is the evolving into a superior organism,or organ and if it isnt successfull its rejected or replaced,however evolution is more subtle. If the driving force were natural selection(survival of the fittest),then it holds that the present speciation of our planet is by definition the most successfull.As in over millenia mutation and modification diversity of life has filled every niche. Now for evolution to be successfull a mechanism it holds that the environment or mean temperature must not diverse to extremes of high-lows.As this would effectively nullify the mechanism and wipe out huge amounts of life. When we consider this and look at our planets history from when life emerged,we find that it has maintained a stable and mean temperature etc.(discounting snowball earth theories,which effectively reduce evolution to starting again from scratch single celled life) Therefore over millenia the diversity of life should now be a few species honed to perfection,adaptable to any slight change in environment.As this is not the case our perception of evolutionary mechanism must be wrong. To finish will you consider the fact im right we never had a flipping tail!! and that if we consider your views on its mechanism as correct would it not be wrong to suggest as we never had a tail,far back in the history of hominids,a branch of ape like hominids climbed too many trees and end up staying there.The coccix being present grew elongated and was co-opt into a tail.

Bubonic and septicemic were solely transmitted to humans by fleas....bites!! hence me saying the humans carried the fleas to new areas. Pneumonic plague was transmitted through the air if the victim coughed and you breathed in the droplets... you see now why i asked...which one.... After suddenly recieving an invite for a christmas bash,and checking that its not a sick joke sayanora puts rubber to the floor and tears down the motorway in his ford fiesta doing 84mph excited at the invitation.Seeing blue lights in his rear-view mirror he pulls over,"whatever do the police want with me...they must want to give me an escort...yes these other bloody motorists using my road." A surly young officer approaches sayo's driver window(no relation)...tapping on the window...sayo winds his window down. 'Good evening sir...in a rush are we' !! asks the officer. 'Certainly not officer 'retorts sayo churlishly (police)do you mind showing me your licence (sayo) its in my glove compartment (police) could i take a look (sayo)erm...no ..i have a knife (police) thats ok sir as long as the blade is under 4 inches...now may i see your licence (sayo) i cannot comply with said request....you will see the revolver.!! The young officer takes a step back...gaining his composure he approaches (police) you mean you have a gun in there (sayo) oh..remarkable deduction sherlock! tentatively the officer responds (police) im going to have to ask you to step out of the vehicle sir.. sayo gets out disgruntled...noticing his thomas the tank engine watch he now realises this conversation has taken 4.68 minutes..'really officer is all this neccersary' (police) would you mind opening the boot of your car sir (sayo) erm...erm...No i cannot...erm you see i have a dead body of a trafic warden in there... (C.O.P)eh...most unusual...now sir could you go to the rear of the vehicle and open the boot... sayo complys and gingerly opens the boot....revealing a spare wheel and jack. (C.O.P) most unusual ...sir my young officer has radio'd in that you had a loaded gun...and a dead body in the boot of your car.. I believe they are many creatures that exhibit a certain degree of intelligence.Killer whales,monkeys,dogs my pet ferret.However its niave to think that their comprehension is on par with ours.I often wonder wether our longing to talk to another intelligence,and the inevitable acceptance that SETI is never going to find anything has turned our attention to creatures on our own planet.We falsly see what we believe to be human traits and emotion as rover nudges our hand and gives its paw,or waits for us at the window.We could swear that it knows our feet are aching because it brought our slippers.Unfortunatley its only wishfull thinking...the dr doolittle in us.In reality a dolphin is a fish(ok a mammal).It swims in the ocean with other dolphins,shows some emotive traits in that it cares and touches other members of its pod.Well for three years my back garden has been the winter quarters of two doves,they spend the entire time preening and kissing.One is more extrovert than the other and even if im in the garden,it flys down grabs some nuts and takes them to its partner.When all i leave out is bread they sit on the fence and stare at me through the window in what seems disgust.Now are we to believe that this shows anything . If lets say dolphin intelligence is on a similar level of ours,they must be just as curious about us,they would find away of making real contact.Maybe select the wise from their group and all congragate in a harbour,clicking and waving away to attract our attention.In reality however they jump through a few hoops for a fishy reward.Seals clap and when we shout shark they roll over and play dead.Its all training. Yes they are reported cases of dolphins nudging human swimmers in difficulty to the shore,and yes dolphins can find devices that emit sounds,but thats they are exhibiting instinctive reactions
