  1. You mean a prediction.
  2. As the top of the link says 'Washington Post' in large letters, is the only artical on whatiam.net and has no formatting that might appear in any newspaper, I'm quite happy to class this link as Republican tubthumping.
  3. Kerry may have edged ahead by simply standing next to Clinton, reminding people of the prosperous and popular the Clinton office was.
  4. These are better: - http://www.catholicshopper.com/products/inspirational_sport_statues.html
  5. Yeah, but 'world leader'?
  6. Is Kerry only planning a 4 year term? I know the republicans are having pressure put on them for Geb Bush as candidate for 2008, to keep the nepotism in the frame and further mock the 'democratic' system in America. I'd also like Hillary to run in 2008, but I doubt she'll get past the old guard. African americans and women only become president in movies, it seems. Margert Thatcher was the first woman world leader since the 19 century, and it looks like she'll be the last for a good while.
  7. The writing has been removed and replaced with this:- I'll point out that it was a TV critic commenting on a TV show, and not a political commentry. I'll also point out the contribution was to the website, and not in the newspaper. The Guardian does not simply print out it's web page for the newspaper edition.
  8. What I was saying was I don't think anyone but you has made that assertion. Al Qaeda has not claimed alliance with insurgents in Iraq, the most the organization has done is support one Islamic priest. The ongoing investigation of the Madrid bomb has failed to produce links to Iraq, so lets assume they have more information at their disposal that we do.
  9. Ah, the almighty car. I see the discussion is leaning towards a mobile monkey, which has to be better than the bus bound monkey. I do have access to an Xbox, and own a PS2 already. But it's just not the same as a PC, plus I don't think HL2, Doom etc will be as good on the Xbox. It's just not as immersive or graphically scalable, plus HL2 has the juicy counterstrike and Mod goodness along with the PC. Although 5614 makes a good point about running costs, which may veto out future PC plans. Perhaps I should PC myself up and wait a few months for the burden of car and car running costs. Well, yes, quite. It's going to be a very cold winter this year by all accounts. I do see the point, a bit of snow then we all seem to get confused and the UK grinds to a halt. But I also fall over quite a bit when I walk in the snow, which isn't that much fun
  10. That should not confuse you, you are being very rude. No, your original statement was:- Which is what I took objection to. You followed that with the gem:- Then go on to cancel any doubts as to what your talking about:- After which I'd struggle to see why you would claim your not having a pop at France. Cleverly manipulated by pointing out what you said, in context, in this thread. The ones where I apologise for the incorrect facts? Seriously, where? If I'm missing some major flaw in my pesonality that's obvious to you, I'd rather like to know what it is. Misrepresenting what? Can you give me a clue? I warned you I would complain about slander, I didn't say nobody may disagree with me. I have heated discussion with most people on this forum, Blike and Sayonara³ included. Your not a special case here, just quit responding with insults. It's really that simple, keep it a civil discussion. If you want to point out errors, show some evidence. If you are being genuine about not meaning to insult the French, why not just say "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend"? It would be simpler than this debacle.
  11. What do I buy? A shiny new PC, all spiffy and prepped for half life2? Or a car? You see, I have a PC that while old is still serving me well. A little 700mhz processor, a 128 graphics card and 20gb hard drive. Nothing special, you understand, just happily chugging away. It's willing, if not to play the top end games, at least try. However, HL2 is coming. I sat down with my PC and we had a long talk, and it explained that it just couldn't do it. Understandably I was distressed and decided that I probably need a new PC. But hey, I also need a car. I don't have one you see, and it's a long cold winter to be standing waiting for a bus. On top of that, most of my friends live more than 50 miles from me so it's hard to visit them nowadays. I'd like to have a car, possibly with a little radio. I could even go get a job somewhere new and use my car to get there. The possiblitys are vast. Except the car won't play HL2, I checked it out. Don't get me wrong, I can afford both and a widescreen whateverthehell besides. It's just I'm saving for a house, so only one thing can be bought at a time. HL2 is coming, but so is the snow. What do I Do? And more importantly, why am I asking the internet?
  12. I See. That's your retort, name calling? Not an apology for attacking the French? No counterpoints? No rebuttals? Insults. Interesting. Perhaps I ought to have pointed out the obvious to you to save your confusion, you are on a science forum by the way. Well, I think it's got to the point where you will have to justify your insults. Do please compile a list. I need a laugh. Well, thanks for clearing that up. I know that was a the crux of my argument over you insulting the French. Now I know your an engineer, it's all alright isn't it?
  13. How about a new style template? Something shiny and golden? God, I'd like a new format one in a while O_o
  14. Isn't there a Star Wars: The TV Series in production? You know, for George to pick over the remnants of our childhood memories looking for a few extra methods of extorting cash. Star Wars: Teen Chewbacca- Where a teenage Chewbacca learns the hard way the difficulties of being a teenage wookie in high school. Featuring Screech from saved by the bell! With hilarious consequences. Star Wars: Enterprise- Where after an accidental collision with a tanker full of crap puppets, the Millenium falcon sets off in a drug fuelled jaunt across space to find the time travelling lizard man who stole the munchies. With extended scenes of hilarious consequences. Star Wars: Gredos Revenge- Each week Gredo set's up an unsuspecting member of the public in a outlandish practical joke, with hilarious consequences. The twist being it's Greedo being set up, and always gets shot in the face! With hilarious consequences. Hilariously. Star Wars: Sith's Place - Where the Dark Lord of the Sith is forced to take on a flatmate to meet the rent, and who should turn up but a member of the Jedi Council! With hilarious consequences.
  15. Wow, that's really specific to a country! Can my team join? We are all local!
  16. "yo Mama!!!"
  17. Yup, it's a complete house of cards. Still the concept is taught in schools, I suspect to give people something tenuous to get there teeth into later. Most of the study of History is based on transient facts and flexible definitions, it's the most eloquent opinion that carries over.
  18. Yup. The Sunday Times snuck a reporter in a couple of years back. Got pictures and a nice story, but no weird stuff happens. It's just got a lot of security because of the ex-presidents all being in one place, which is probably why they also get buisnessmen and tycoons. They do have a very good bbq, which is apparently one of the reasons it's so popular.
  19. Ha' date=' yes that's a fair point. The steel in the air/life expectancy/length of time quote is all mixed up. That's what comes from dredging up figures without thinking about what your typing. I'm doing system testing at work, and numbers begain swimming a week ago. You don't know what those terms mean, much less when they are applicable. Don't use grown up language unless you understand context. If you can't provide counterpoints, don't sit and cry unfair, be a man about it. If you accuse me of any of those things without grounds again, I'll request your posts are deleted. I'm referring to your pro Republican posts in every thread you post in within the forum. Give it a rest' date=' the simplistic rhetoric is very boring. What is that collection of random sentances you quoted supposed to mean? I assume they had a meaning when you layed them out in your head. If your brain is still stuck in the De Gaulle groove, allow me to point out my post to Aardvark: - If your going to reply again, remember sentences are your friends. You are far from being eloquent enough to create a succinct reply in one post. Your just wasting my time, your time and time time of the other forum users.
  20. Trailer is on the Star Wars DVD box set. Ani get his face burnt when Obi Wan sticks a light saber in it, then chucks him into a lava pit.
  21. Well Al-Qaeda have no links with Iraq, and they planted the bomb. So that's just a random selection of events with no connection.
  22. Oh, that's just pure class. Parapsychologist, are those the guys they drop in behind enemy lines to talk about the inner child?
