  1. No, really I think your going crazy. Unless your classing Mods and Admins as normal users, or classing Tesseract and Bloodhound as Admin:- If you are simply saying Mods and Admins have different permissions, why bother?
  2. A key logger is an attachment that logs a users keystrokes. It's used to gain a user passwords, read private emails etc. Because it's not conneted to the PC, but the keyboard, it's impossible for the system to know it's there:- http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/electronic/5a05/ A sheep rating is to do with a CDRW ability to copy bit patterns, which in the case of copying games is required to get a workable copy (due to the manufacturer putting complex patterns in place to stop a copy being made). One sheep bad, two sheep good, no sheep means don't bother :-/
  3. How's about this. You go read the third page again. It's just got you going '???' and saying people are over the limit. Obviously, that's been answered quite a few times now, they are not over any limit, dagnamit.
  4. Um, if I were you fellowes I'd take my email address out of my sig. Email addresses are trawled from the web and used for the spamming machines.
  5. No, it's not. It's called acronymous. In any text, if you use abbreviations you usually first explain what they are to define the context. If you fail to do this in scientific papers, you will lose marks. People cannot guess what you are inferring as they are often incorrect. As jordan mentioned, Sports Illustrated would probably be the best fit in a converstation about sports. Myself, Systems Integration would have been my choice. That's why I asked for the explanation, because it needed clarification. No, I don't speak fluent Russian. Quite obviously I'm from the UK and have no pretentions to being Russian, French or from Area 51. I don't see what asking if I speak Russian has to do with anything. I can use conversational Russian if your really that interested:- http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4313
  6. It was not civil, it's fairly rude. Especially in my own thread. If you wanted to clarify, I'm sitting right next to you where you can talk to me. The point of me quoting one section is that I was replying to the one section. I don't see the problem in me doing that.
  7. No, I'm too stupid to read whole posts. Could you do me a favour and remind me to read all of a post everytime I quote somebody? Cheers.
  8. Sure, there is a whole thread on it here:- http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=5445 Although I suspect it should be in homework help.
  9. How may billion people are there in the world? Minus from the people who will be lying, and the people who are very susceptible to suggestive ideas then you have maybe a handful from billions that had a dream involving planes and buildings. Shpookey.
  10. Constructive use of cold war weaponry there. Top marks to the US and Russia for raiding the junk pile and recycling.
  11. It's obvious to you because you made the post. Personally I would have guessed French was not your first language, désolé pour avoir offensé.
  12. If American football was called Handball, what you now call handball would be named something completely different. This reminds me of an old joke:- "why is an Elephant called an Elephant?" "Because it looks like an Elephant you fool." That's a good point. The American names are not compatible with anywhere else. American football is not football, it's rugby with massive amounts of saftey equipment. It should be called American Rugby, or Super Safe Rugby. Soccer was called Football since before America was discovered. If your going to use the English Language, it's a bit of an odd decision to rename the English sports. I have no idea what the SI stands for. Is it one of the following? Acronym / Definition Si Silicon SI Slovenia (international code) SI Sports Illustrated SI Système International d'Unités (international system of units based on the Meter, Kilogram, Second, Ampere, Kelvin, Candela, and Mole) SI Systems Integration SI Sacroiliac SI Safeguards Information SI Salt Institute SI Samahang Ilokano (Filipino college organization) SI Sarcasm Intended SI Saturation Index SI Scalable Infrastructure SI School of Information (university) SI Schweizer Informatiker Gesellschaft (Zurich, Switzerland) SI Science and Industry SI Science Instrument (Hubble Telescope) SI Scientific Investigation SI Scintillation Index SI Sector Iridectomy (partial removal of the iris of the eye) SI Self Isolation
  13. I still have my Pan Am tickets to the moon. I'm hopefull they will start up again soon.
  14. Because Handball makes it sound like the big repressed homosexual activity that it actually is, Rugby for girls.
  15. That's not quite true, newborns can breath in water. They extract the oxygen from the water though the lung. I have no clear idea what causes that function to cease, but I guess it's possible for an older child to keep the same ability. Genetic mutation and so on. It wouldn't be good for the lung though, and probably leave long term damage.
  16. Fol De Roll Rol Rol. Pick a different thread.
  17. That's very true. But unless your damning the concept of love I don't see the relevence. Honestly. I'm a bit hungover and tired, you see. And he should be free to express whatever views he might hold. However, religion is not part of the state and Bush has no reason to influence political structures based on whatever Church he is a member of. It's not as if he's even a member of a prevalent Church in America. Church and state are always kept separate, even if daddy did make you president.
  18. Yes, yes. Quite so. Indisputably. Spot on. Hurrah for the American things! Wave the flag! Light the fireworks! Although it is also perfectly legal, written into the constitution and a protected right afforded any person in America (albeit the members of a handful of faiths). Wow, the world is a complex place isn’t it? Laws, exceptions, loopholes, constitutional rights. It’s almost as if they were trying to confuse you, the cad's. Polygamy is illegal and yet it's legal? Whoof!!!112 Never mind though, it’ll all be ok. You don’t need to know all the laws, just the big ones. If you do something wrong, someone will point it out for you.
  19. That sounds like the story for interesting film, the English antithesis of Die Hard. Normal people dealing with the typical Hollywood situation, with no sleep for days until the jobs done. Someone go make that into a film. Obviously with Tom Baker in a supporting role, for the little touch of class.
  20. I suppose it was 70 odd hours when I was younger. I go 38 hours sometimes, twice in the past 30 days, it's really not that hard if you have some reason for staying awake. The hard part is between 2 and 4 am, as your body expects sleep around then. So long as you keep up you’re energy levels, and are moving around, your going to be fine. In the US marines, they make them go 6 days without sleep in hell week (so they say). It's something you have to get used to doing, otherwise it throws out your body clock. I can exist on 3 hours every 48 for a week or so, but I become really mechanical after a while and constantly feel sick.
