  1. Theology isn't pseudoscience, is philosophy. Local council tax.
  2. Tribe of Baboons discovers cold fusion in Borneo, and promptly annex state. Internet porn to be replaced with internet norm, pictures of normal people doing everyday activitys in the sunshine. UN labeled 'Puerile' by 6 out of 10 world leaders.
  3. 1) Probably, but I have no idea. It's based around the weight of the dome pushing in, the circumference, the force of gravity plus the weight of materials. An architect could tell you. 2) Practically? The blocks are placed in concentric circles around a pre-constructed circular base and inclined inwards and then a keystone is placed in the top. The blocks are shaped once they have been put in place; the only masonry skill that’s important is putting the correct angle on the edges before placing in the circle. 3) Carefully. 4) Limestone ground to a powder and alluvial clay. They mixed in volcanic rock to form the more expensive cement. It was only used in foundations really.
  4. Well, if a blond bloke simpered and giggled in an attempt to gain sympathy and help from people with work; they would look like a freak.
  5. That's more to do with the unemployment rate being at an all time low, standards of education increasing and a varied/interesting public job market than some obscure link to the current situation in Iraq.
  6. No, nor am I saying the money is most needed in the third world. People forget about the poor donkeys sometimes.
  7. You mean, if you donate $5 to the Homeless Donkeys of Ecuador fund and post a picture of said donkey, your username will glow. Nice.
  8. To be honest, the re-enlistment stats will always be low. If your 17 > 25 when you join up, your young and fit. Few people aged 30+ really want to rejoin the armed services, they have cumulative injures and a greater risk of physical harm from the training regimes. That and they would rejoin at the level they left, minus the lag time for the years out of service, they end up in a disadvantaged position both physically and financially. That and the fact they left the military service for a reason, like you leave any job, and are not likely to change their minds. What's more interesting is the percentage of people who remain in military service all there working lives, compared to any other job. The re-enlistment stats are a moot point.
  9. The purpose of life is to live it. The meaning of life is what you make it. The sandwich of life is salami, with a light salad and french dressing on cipatta.
  10. I'm just impressed the US has got so much mileage out of the 40 year old British Aerospace design.
  11. My Gir was better.
  12. I give the new government a life expectancy of 14 months, being replaced by a quasi religious figure who absolutely doesn't ever say he is Allah reincarnated. Ever.

  15. There's no point in me being a mod, I'm outclassed in every scientific field by the current mods. They are legion. Plus, I'm lazy and argumentative.
  16. No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst Nordfink".
  17. But it DID! Only the coke can on the table protected us from destruction, then it flew off to battle Venus.
  18. I note that they used the word British, and not English, so not to confuse the people who think they are speaking English.
  19. I could start one on the American implementation of eugenics that inspired Hitler that could go on and on.
  20. He's just a SFA looking for people to buy his book. He seems to be using clips of his book to prompt this sort of reaction, as it generates publicity and sales of his book. You can mail him at markm @thefinaltheory.com to to see if he's interested in discussion, so long as you don't say you represent scienceforums.net.
  21. 6-5 England loses. Whoops.
  22. I agree. Athough not with the dislike bit, I don't think it's true. Set up a poll for comedy effect.

  24. So is England out? Will they stop talking about it to me at work?
