Ignoring the incorrect use of the word mutation*, your still just pointing out people are different. We kind of figured that out ourselves. *as in mutation is evident in evey child born, and not something to be vilified.

Personally, I don’t really care who did what with whom or why. If you mods are having a catfight, then that’s your own business. Surely that’s something for you to discuss in the magical land of the mods. I doubt you’ll get many people running to either of your defence if the argument is based around who is Lord High King of the Moon, and who is a plebeian forum member. An afront to human decency? Get over yourself.

Jesus.......what? I hear brunettes are abnormal oddities as well. Let's just stick to government controlled mating schemes; eugenics is such a nice idea. I'll just pop out to find something that'll put those abnormal idiosyncrasies correct, get us all the same.

Custom User Titles
atinymonkey replied to Cap'n Refsmmat's topic in Suggestions, Comments and Support
Custom user tags are the quickest reference that the poster is a mod or admin, or that's how they are supposed to be used. I understand people seem to chase after a custom title, for teh prestige, but I’ve never really seen the point. It carries no weight outside the forums, and only a perceived one within. It's like chasing to be a token Mod, or suchlike. *Yawn* -
It's more interesting to ask who thinks it did not happen.

You'll need to be a mite more specific on your problems. What sort of issues are you having with the pictures (grain, colour wash, undefined shadow), what sort of conditions are you taking pictures in (indoors, outdoors, ambient light levels). Even what sort of film your using and the shutter speed of the camera will effect what your doing. If you could show a picture, I'll tell you what is wrong with it. It's a gradual process of eliminating each problem in turn and after a while you'll have great pictures. Unless your just crap with cameras, which happens sometimes.

I was thinking more along the lines of using an old dead language in the middle of a sentence written in English. I wouldn't really class latin as the correct word O_o. That and flailing words around like a weapon (remember the definition of atheist arguments?). So, it's misuse I'm concerned with. I've seen the straw man accusation thrown around without much regard for context, as if it were a real word/insult and not a description. I require a law (like godwins) for the use of inappropriate descriptive words in a post, when the post is derogatory and condesending to anothers logic. Straw man > straw house > invoke wolf's law to blow it away.

I've edited the quotes to show the parts I was specifically referring to. The only differing opinion seems to be that you believe that creationists will think what they think regardless of outside opinion, where I'm saying that no man is an island. Every person looks for information to support the supposition they adhere to. Am I the only one to think the phrase 'non sequitur logic' is getting much overuse around here, along with words like 'strawman', 'tautology' and so on?

There. Is. No. Way. I. Will. Sign. Up. To. That. Site. Ever. Thanks for playing. That 'theory' is a bastardized version of the drakes equasion:- http://www.activemind.com/Mysterious/Topics/SETI/drake_equation.html that creationist websites theory is used to convince the people who want to be convinced that the warm fuffy bunny god created a wittle gawden for them to play in.

*sigh* the universe is infinite. To think that there is no chance in an infinite cosmos for a similar planet to develop is silly, to imaging God (or whatever) created the entire infinite universe just for one tiny planet to have something to look at is childishly absurd. It's also immensely egotistical, and has no shred of corroborating evidence in the Christian bible. If anything, the bible infers there are a great many other places that life exists.

It's in a vacuum' date=' and the surface is to hot for probes. So no. That link has nothing to do with the sound levels. Just to save everyones time.

Er, loud *kablamo* type noises I'd expect. Very loud. Louder than, say, a great many nuclear warheads exploding at once. Louder than the human ear would register, anyhow.

The dermis layer of the skin loses protective waterproofing oils (wipe your hand on a mirror to see the oil from your hand) when it's soaked for too long. Once the layer is gone, the difusion gradient ensures that water enters the cells, making them turgid, so the skin surface expands somewhat. The expanded surface area causes the wrinkles.
