The only people that can issue megalomaniac statements like that are the British. We train for it at school. That's how we control plebian underclass's in a complete dictonamy, and crush the proletariat.

I'm looking at an ex MOD series 3 Landrover. Built sometime in the 1970's, probably. It will save my feet wearing down, and me irritating the bus drivers. If someone try's racing me, I'll attach the winch to the car bumper.

A simple way is to use Young's Modulus (goggle it!) to determine a simple x/y axis. Simplifying the data is the key, not creating an uber graph that isn't understandable.

Your safe from your dead cells, they aren't going to raise up a viral army against you. They encorage bacteria growth though, so don't stop cleaning them up. But yes, new virus strains appear all the time, hence the thread and the inability to cure the common cold.

Creationism Vs. Evolution & Big Bang
atinymonkey replied to NavajoEverclear's topic in Other Sciences
An atheist is not apathetic or ignorant simply because they don't agree with the idea of a supreme being. I don't preach to people about why they are wrong, but I do discuss my views with religious types if they instigate an assault on my belief. That makes me neither apathetic or ignorant, just re results of what I perceive to be a well researched decision as to my faith. It's like saying there are two types of Christian, Jew, Muslim or Buddhist. Actually there are a few different types of those faiths! Buy they all share the same core belief which defines their faith. Atheism is no different. -

I thought you became a super saiyan by getting beaten up a lot. Is that what you mean by increasing or decreasing blood flow?

Water isn't a homeopathic remedy. Plus homeopathy has conventions, which make it conventional. You surely aren't suggesting the homeopathic method is to try something once and then never try it again? Most common ailments improve with direct action from ourselves, as in an immune response. As homeopathic methods deal directly with this response, you might want to rethink your position. Sweeping statements about homeopathic methods will just encourage arguments. Play nice

Who, who's doing that? Is it you? It's not me, I'll tell you that.

I think it is a decayed isotope, something that is a by product of nuclear energy production. Amercainum, americanim, something like that. It is quite stable for a few years, although there are only v small amounts. The older models, and industrial models, will have larger amounts of the isotope. Still no idea how you could use it to create a raydon gun.

You mean ion chamber smoke detectors, presumably not the loud clanging bell that indicates a fire alarm has been triggered. I'm not sure, but I think it's only America that uses those particular ones (possibly Australia). I'm not sure it could be converted into a radon gun.

That's what I suggested. He didn't take it to well, and I got some sanctimonious primary school teachers ganging up on me. I got quite pissed off, actual teachers of 5 to 11 year olds who thought aspirin and paracetemol were placebos. Can you imagine your kids going to school that they taught that in? What laughs! Chewy, chewy aspirin fun.

Evolution or Training?

Like the opposite to the Vikings? Grew beards all day long, they did. Or having genetic predisposition to shave? -
Evolution or Training?

I can think of about billion people with a similar genetic trait. They are fairly hard to miss, they have there own country. -

This from a nation who's colonists used to sew themselves into their clothes for winter? Who had one bathtub per 6 towns in the midwest up till the 1830's?

The word Placebo is Latin loosely translated as 'I shall please'. It's usually an inert or pointless substance. After having a huge argument with some bloke about his idea that aspirin and paracetamol were placebos, who exactly is it that's going around suggesting that they are? I agree that the majority of the pill is caffeine or some such powder, how did that translate to it being placebo and not just 'bulking out'?

Better still, get 8 glasses and fill each with vodka then get 8 glasses and fill them with water. Freeze the water in the glasses, smash the vodka over your head and light your hair.

The 3rd Reich is not likely to be the last one. America has drawn quite a few comparisons between the Roman Empire and it’s own regime, and the Roman regime was the 1st Reich. Not that I'm saying Americans are Nazis, more like the Romans, but those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Just to butt in for a second, I think this can be cleared up with another dictonary reference http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=existentialism The literal meaning of words bears no relation to the perception of reality. Unless Samuel Johnson had some deep undiscoved view of the universe of which we are not aware. As I remember he didn't even include the word 'sausage', so I doubt it.
