Lol Aliens, yay! I forgot it was an argumentative essay. I'm having a dumb day.

I forget, isn't there a guy in Florida who keeps corpses in a big yard to see the effect of decomposition in differing environments? I read an article on him once, full glossy magazine pictures. Why not write a paper based around off the wall research? What happens without control in the research area? When the scientist gets a grant and is let loose Professor Frink style in a Laboratory. We had a team that was given £3 million to find out why Cornflakes go soggy. Surely that’s a lack of control? Plus, it would be fun to read. If you can keep the person reading it interested they are bound to mark it more favourably. Maybe. Sort of.

It's not the temperature that is the sole cause; mice live in environments around the world well enough. It's the population that triggers the response; it's interesting but a bit of an unknown. The more crowded the area the greater the percentage of the mice picked Mickey on Mickey rather than Minnie. It seems to be crudely linked to species preservation, in mice the population can rapidly expand to outstrip available resources so the homosexual tendency’s crop up to act as a counter of some kind. It's doesn’t really work though, as the population continues to expand. The theory is that humans are the same, hence the increase in homosexual tendency’s with humans and the urbanisation of our lifestyles. But it doesn’t hold water, really. The term homosexual is actually a tern coined by the Samurai in Feudal Japan, and the Romans were also keen advocates of the alternative lifestyle. Not to mention the Greek philosophers The whole thing about trama leading to the Gay lifestyle is a bit of an oddball. Very few people haven't had a tramatic event in there lives.

House arrest? Your refering to the movement of the thread I guess, I can't be sure but I'm guessing it's that your theory dosen't really hold water yet. But there is obviously a whole bunch of effort going into it, why not pop across to Manchester Uni? They have this whole wacky idea about increasing knowlage that I've heard is all the rage. I can just see you getting really offended now, but I don't know if you have studied there or not.

Oh yes, thats the chap that has accupuncture point tattoed to his body, to help combat the pain of the poorly healed bones apparantly. They have been prodding him with sticks for quite a few years now.

Uhhh. Yes. Interesting paper there in there. -
That's what I was waiting for on the TV too! I'm a bad, bad man for wanting to watch riots on live TV. :uhh: Too much TV and it all seems a bit too unreal.

The guys put the wrong web address in the worm, so it didn't get to attack effectivly. Idiots. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3154117.stm

Like take a degree in Applied Biology? Hmmmm.

Plus there is only one published article from any institution named 'Brain Science Foundation'. I think the posts indicate that some thought and effort has gone into looking for this journal that you asked was to be referenced. It's a bit hard to do that if you are going to be obtuse on f***ing purpose.

Did someone remove your sense of humour? They seem to have replaced it with a big ol’ dose of anger. Take a deep breath, and relax. It's quite an interesting phenomena, what looks to be a coherent structure from separate hallucinations. It could possibly be indicating that the subconscious has all these symbols racked up as some sort of recognition tool.

Apparently is a supporting organisation of The Boston Foundation http://www.tbf.org/ who publish a great deal of stuff. I suspect that’s why the website appears to contain no reference to a journal. I can't find it at the Library of Congress, but the British Library has one publication from the Brain Science Foundation, the Annual Study report. Yours for only £5, no one has checked it out yet. If I wasn’t hung over I could go get it. Actually, it's not just that I'm hung over. More along the lines of being lazy.

AO_champion actually provided a good example for the essay. Everyone has an agenda of some kind or another, so the more open the research methods are to the American population them more they will be restricted. Of course, an independent body in control of the decisions would be introverted and isolated (not to mention sinister). So there has to be a balance between the two. So then you do an analysis of the current involvement to show whether or not it’s at the correct level.

It's less interesting now. I've been listening to the Mayor droning on about a powerstation coming back online, he didn't make a lot of sense. Still funny to see so many people wandering round NY, apparently homeless people are directing traffic
-
I've just seen pictures on the TV of thousands of people crouding up the New York streets after a power cut. Whats going on? Why are they all wandering around? The BBC has just got correspondents taking pictures and filling in air time. Not very helpful.

Sorry, the comment about being ‘either stupid or ignorant’ was just a joke. An attempt to lighten the post a little, and show the post wasn’t a dig at your basic theory. It failed a bit, I guess. Apologys, I didn’t have the references to hand. Your right, the coal hydrogenation did indeed exist, but it wasn’t ransomed by Rockefeller, Standard Oil had developed and financed the process with I.G. Farben prior to the start of the war, which left Rockefeller with a quarter share in the patent for that point onwards. I was confusing the synthetic-gasoline with ethyl lead when I talked about the Petrol composite. Anyhow, the patent is now on the open market:- http://www.fischer-tropsch.org/primary_documents/patents/ru/su0632296_abs.htm It’s not really that is a secret; it’s just an expensive process. More expensive than just drilling for oil. Mind you, I’d have to read that Joseph Brown book to see what conclusions he draws from it. I’m sure I’m not wrong about the Gentleman’s agreement. In 1940 the bombing raid on Sept the 7th that lead to the accidental bombing of central London consisted of a dozen of the Luftwaffe who’s target had been aircraft factories and oil tanks outside London. The industrial plants were not out of bounds at any point in the war, however civilians were. The attempt to ‘break the will’ of the English came as a response to the retaliation bombing of Berlin, on September the 4th (3 days past the anniversary of the start of the War) Hitler stated “When they declare that they will increase their attacks on our city’s, then we will raze their cities to the ground”, which is exactly what they attempted. The folly of this was that neither side wished to attack civilians, they felt that they were retaliating for wrongdoings. However, industrial targets remained a priority thought the bombing campaign including oil refineries. A quick google search would confirm that . Spear does make the point that he warned about losing the oil refineries, and the war effort would be crippled, but that was the Allies entire reasoning behind the bombing. My Grandfather was a Commanding Officer in the Air force throughout World War II, and was directly aware of strategy in use by the Allies. If you want to play the relatives card, that at least matches it! But I completely agree with the childish futility of war. It’s sickening to think that people can weigh up human life and actually say ‘it’s an acceptable loss’.

Not quite accurate, it's a distortion of actual events to spread a favourable light on event that support a particular argument. The synthetic rubber was produced, but the ‘gasoline’ ( we prefer the term Petrol in Europe ) was simply a thinning of the actual Petrol using composite chemical compounds or ethanol. This research was primarily in the actual engine rather than the petrol. The research for this is still in use today, as the Allies were impressed that the German tanks could run on strong spirits (over 60% proof) as a consequence of that development even modern tanks can run on alcohol if required. "gentlemen's agreement that heavy industry would not be bombed in Germany.", this was only true at the start of the war, Albert Speer is quite explicit about that (that’s an impeachable source for you!). The agreement was broken when a German pilot accidentally dropped his bombs on London thinking he was over the sea. Dresden is a prime example of the bombing policy at the time, ‘bomber’ Harris flattened the entire city with impunity. Plus I can only be stupid or ignorant, I can't be both. That's just the US. I'm not sure if that is true. There are more than 3000 electric cars in Paris alone. In the UK the government will give you £6000 towards an electric car if you want to buy one. It’s just no one likes them much, they are expensive to charge up.

Rebecca Hastings? I know that name *drums fingers on desk* Hrumph . Can't remember where from. Dammit. Either from Harrogate, or through Alex Moore. Archaeology person, I think. Probably different person though.

Yes it is. Earth, fire, air and water. The best elements.
