All negative Clicks must be made Public !

If it's not easy (one click) people won't use it. Also you've not explained what the colours mean. Complicated confusing systems tend to help no one. -
Your doctor analogy fails on a few points. We don't get paid to consult members of the public (unless you want to pay my consultancy fees). You at not coming to is saying you've got a headache you've come to is with a headache saying that both of your legs have fallen off which is stopping you playing your guitar. When anyone points or you have both legs and are currently strumming away quite happily you refuse to accept.

Do not go with them to Rupert, it's not worth it.

A question is not a claim

One of the problems here is your keep referring to your exercise, which from what I can gather is something about dark matter or inflation, it's difficult to tell. You'll find people much more useful if you try and ask short concise questions about some aspect of physics. It can easily take more than 10 years of formal study to even start adding new understanding to physics. Let's look at a note everyday example. If your car broke down and you called a mechanic. He turns up on a push bike with a paying pot with a brush sticking out of it on the back. When you ask him where his tools are he just hops from leg to leg shouting about his new way of fixing cars and proceeds to lick your ties would you accept his bill for fixing the car without trying to start it? Would you even leave him to work on your car or would you try and figure out what he knows about cars first? -
Dark matter and dark energy are neither theories nor hypothesis they are placeholder terms, there are many hypothesis for both being worked on by many people to find the solution.

You don't ask questions though. You make assertions sometimes with questions tacked on but often they're just assertions that people correct or ask for evidence for. Speculations has special rules to allow a usefl discussion to happen within a sciencesk framework. Continue to break the rules and threads will get closed. Questions on mainstream science should be asked in the science fora not speculations. You need to make sure you're asking questions though. This thread shouldn't be in speculations so I'm moving it. -
I'd say it's what we measure. Saying see implies a human eye. A measurement and prediction that are consistent, you need knowledge of the errors on both for this. An accepted mathematical framework to model since aspect of the universe. A theory just have been well tested within its domain. This is the highest state of a science concept. Not a term I've ever heard a physicist say. Maths is a tool to create predictions and compare those predictions to reality. An in evidenced prediction. To be accurate this must be numeric therefore use maths. I'm not really aware of a distinction to the everyday definition. Logic has a very specific definition in maths, is suggest you look it up. What it doesn't mean is "it makes sense to me". A subsection of a theory. Must be mathematical in its formal definition.

How do you define "a model"?

A testable (in principle), mathematical description of some aspect of the universe. -
Do you have any maths and evidence to back this up or are you just trying stories?

Can you speculate the magnitude of chaos in the U.S.A. if...
Klaynos replied to Externet's topic in The Lounge
That would depend on who you're talking to... An older hands on engineer type probably thou, a younger or more science orientated then mm... Best to get clarification. -

My car I can toggle, same for consumption, range etc... My old physics department everyone in the workshop switched between thou (thousandths of an inch) and mm with little regard. You do need to always be sure of writing down your units. When talking to people I use which ever is closer/easier to say, mm for small, cm of it's about a round number of cm but if it's 7.5 cm or becomes 3 inches, around 30cm I'd use a foot, then metres then miles... -

In the UK, there's a reason I have both imperial and metric tools... We have a great system almost everything is sold in metric but you'll drive at mph and measure your consumption in mpg but buy your fuel in litres. And you'll be getting your milk for your tea in pints. Got days are in degF cold in degC... -
You should review our rules, especially those that are special for the speculations forum.

This was very much what I was trying to get at. There doesn't seem to be any physics here.

Can you show how to numerically find the altitude of a geostationary orbit using your idea?
-
Thor labs used to always send food with their deliveries. But their website was always a little annoying to use.
-
You a get band stop or notch filters that take out a given range of frequencies. I've used Edmund optics and Thor labs in the past. Waterproofness will depend on specific filter type and situation.

Not where I live. I have a pretty standard hatch and average 50 mpg. My dad has a 4wd and gets closer to 35. This is really veering off topic though.
-
How comfortable are you with maths? Would you be willing to learn some more before getting into the interesting bits of physics?

Dark matter, expansion of the cosmos and time as the 4th dimension

What precise, numerical predictions does your idea make? How do these vary from the existing predictions? -

Magic? -
This would require maths.
-
A definition of length contraction, and for that matter any model in modern physics, requires maths. O don't see any it's therefore impossible to evaluate for validity.

A lot of research organisations (universities, government labs, etc...) will hire undergraduates for short term summer research jobs (even if you don't study there, or have any connection). I would highly recommend trying to do one or two in areas you think interest you. Also I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm in the UK so before university (collage age in the US) we have to pick a pretty specific course, so Physics or Biology. As long as you don't go completely the wrong direction it's not too hard to then switch after your bachelors to do a related but different masters. I actually work in a completely different field as to what my PhD is in, it's still physics but not even a related field to my thesis. This isn't event that unusual so don't worry yourself too much.
