I think everyone well most of us are expecting any other life form to be mainly carbon based as that's all we know but think about it we're proberly star children indirectly from our own sun; just maybe there might be intelligent life forms of a completely different make up, mind you if there are othere intelligent life forms that have already studied mankind here on earth & we find it difficult to live in peace with each other... we can't really blame them for not trusting us with intergalectic peace can we?

Well I believe you're all correct so I see the whole picture something like this...The meteorite impacting in Mexico causing a long nuclear winter volcanic excitement proberly earthquakes as well a most hostile & "uninhabitable enviroment" also I guess our Dinos being reptiles would only feel comfortable in tropical conditions not freak winters I don't think this can be far out & thank you everyone for showing your interest..us.2u

Between us all we might've cracked it... "The end of Jurassic life" could this iradium comtaminate the dinosaurs food resources as in poisioning them or wrecking the liklihood of re-germinating thus shortenening the food resources for our dinosaurs?

Thank-you Artorius the other reason I do have a belief in global flooding is this.....when the mexican metorite impacted I presume above water level there would've been no oxygen at all but reserves of oxygen deep ito the depths of our terrestial waters proberly enough for minmal life to surviv. Then in years to come as our planet resolved slowy back to normality & land masses increased I would think it logical for evolution to start all over again do you think this could make sense or does anyone have absolute proof this was not possible?...us.2u

Why I come to an understanding of a probable global flooding are for logical reasons:- If the mexican metorite was as damaging as one might suggest then oxygen would be completely cut off hence my earlier question....was it possible for life to exist? before the KT boundry that did not rely on oxygen to breathe? My other theory is this... I presume most reptiles or some of them are swimmers so maybe just maybe if a global flood did occur then snakes & crocodoles (decendants) maybe from our jurassic past.I don't know; I'm not daring to say "this is the way it is" I'm just looking at probabilitys.The reason why I said of the ice-caps melting I was taught at school that if our ozone hole increased the ice-caps would melt & eventually cause a major flood,or global flood So I presumed with a fantastic melt down or displacement of mass, my mentors were correct.However if I've misunderstood my mentors I'm keen to correct this thank-you...us.2u

Thank-you again for your insight but I was not referring to a large oceanic impact but the evidence of the huge impact in Mexico dated back to the time of the KT boundry I just wondered if it was possible after a savage & fericous pounding from a metorite that size equivalant to approx 6 nuclear world-wars I believe would've caused a chain of reactions i.e. storms beyond our imagination volcanos with savage ferocity immedite chemical heating breaking of the ice-caps global flooding etc would this be normal planet activity in the event of a mass meteorite impacting with our planet? So then I thought put all these catastrophes together & life expectancy after that would be extremely minimal indeed. Mind you that's only my theory which I've sort of put together with reading various subjects & beliefs on the extinction of the jurassic animals...us.2u

Thank you Ophiolite,are you stating that a global flood was unlikely after the meteorite imapacted in Mexico? do we have evidence of that? all I'm asking which I think is correct we have the same species of dinosaurs worldwide is it likely they traveled this far in communitys or far more likely they were washed up & delivered by our oceans? I don't know this is just my hunch but maybe I'm off course...us.2u

Thanks Ophiolite, for the links there is so much to learn,after reading some of the links I believe beyond any doubt in my mind which was once after viewing the conspiracy lunar video that,that was just hugwash. My main interest are lunar related as I am trying to research whether indeed the moon was once a part of this planet earth; it doe's seem that way. Then I would like to travel right back to the big-bang but before then I find the jurassic period fascinates me, I think before that period was Cambrian "I'm not sure" also I wondered if any life excepting plants could have lived on this planet that don't breathe oxoygen that seems a far cry proberly not

I do apologise for zig-zagging on various subjects...but staying with floods & the extinction of dinosaurs I presume when one quotes the KT boundry they are referring to 65 million years of history I am ignorant of what KT stands for & appreciate to be enlightened. I have read "for & against arguments" that a huge meteorite that impacted in Mexico approx 65 million years ago was the perpatrator or reason of the extinction of Jurassic life; then others think not. I'm told the crocodile is a living descendant today & other terrastial anomalties were proberly the cause...The reason why I thought of global flooding is as far as I know fossil of dinosaurs have been found worldwide & I presume likened species from one end of this world to another. Some of you say there would've been a lot of drowned dinosaurs I feel this was proberly the case how can we tell? if we can't date a global flood of that period then I feel the Mexican meteorite must have been the cause unless anyone out-there has a more reasonable explanation...us.2u

Is there proof the sphinx was submerged for a valid period of time? I don't know but everyone seems to wonder how the dinosaurs got wiped out here's a suggestion pherhaps the polar caps melted & caused a global flood the reason I'm thinking this way is.. there dosen't seem to be substanial evidence of impacts etc....but what of a flood wouldn't that leave all fossils intact & history remains of what once was? I can't see any other real explanation is there any way of proving or disproving this theory?...us.2u

I don't know if a supreme being created us but if he did in his/her supramcy what would be the point or meaning of creation to him/her? is there a meaning of life? it seems to be an on going quest & all animals including us find it utterly important to multiply ourselves.If Darwin was correct we still have no meaning but I believe we need to explore much of our universe to piece together an understanding of our universe;but in answer to parallel universes I guess that is a probability & maybe they could sustain life as we know it;but if that were true then even more of us would be looking for the meaning of life. Personaly my own belief is evolution but how or why the universe ever started I believe we'll never know.It's beyond my imagination that once there was nothing at all no time no space & then some miracle happened to bring all these fantastic chain of events "The Creation of our Universe" & life on our planet the creation of time.So if God does exist did he exist before time? After all it is a miracle ..."life".. isn't it? Animals & vegatation provide food & water for us.I really don't know what to believe I feel really humble & stand in awe at the great wonders of this universe...The sun the moon all the planets the stars & isn't fantastic all of us are part of this awesome miracle when I first came on this site I just took relativity & the science of our universe as natural & for granted but oh my what a wonderful universe///thank-you to all of you out-there for opening my eyes...us.2u

There is so much speculation of metors wiping out dinosaurs & all life that prevailed at that given time to be quite honest I see that as the only explanation,I believe a meteor or meteors absoloutely huge in size caused an upset as large as a massive nuclear war which destroyed anything that lived maybe excepting incredibly small bug like animals but as the cold black contaminated atmosphere took it's long course to clear so life evolved again & flourished as evolution matured & eventually life became as it is now also space debris i.e. huge comets or meteors have had massive impacts on this planet every 50-100 million years so I guess we could be looking at danger but I hope not. Not now we've advanced this far,as for the tilt of our planet I always thought in the summer our part of the world tilted naturally towards the sun & gradually tilted into the opposite direction explaining why we have different seasons at least they taught me that at school I don't know if that is correct...I hope so otherwise I don't understand the 4 different seasonal changes.....us.2u

So if black holes are within reach is quantum leaping a possibility or just deranged fantatism? Even if time warps were accessible I doubt whether life as we know it could survive because as far as I know inside a black hole there is no time & to my understanding that's total inertia which I presume is totally lifeless, however that's only my understanding mass & gravity indifferences seems a very interesting theory who knows if proven could be useful for future travel & understandings of numerous big bangs universes maybe there's even a revolutionary series of big bangs & universes that create a huge cycle like a system of relativity chains almost like our universe is a spoke in wheel but yet again just one big circle with no begining & no end, the only thing I could imagine each cycle relates to another so at the end of each cycle creates another big bang & a new universe is born so eventually when our sun burns out it dosen't matter because with this relativity cycle it just multiplys so maybe I am at an understanding of universes rebirth. Now that's some heavy imagination but not impossible the only trouble is I don't have a scrap of evidence to back this up so at the moment this is sheer fantatism, but proton head, your theorys got me thinking & I don't think you're far out...us2u

Lunar Questions:- How long did it take the astronauts to reach the moon from Earth What was the average speed of their craft?Who made their engines & what are they & how do they work? What is the escape velocity of the moon how fast did the earth craft go to blast off from the moon? How doe's one navigate spacecraft? On re-entry into the earths atmosphere what stops friction burning up the earh craft? After all these years why hasen't Neil Armstrong told the media of his amazing adventure?Which I believe would be a lot more interseting than star-wars This would be a mind boggling exciting t.v. documentry why is so little known about it? Who made the communication devices?I thought 1960's radio worked by signal waves bouncing off our earths ionsphere? & satellite communication (micro-wave) still in it's infancy...I thought whoever was responsible for making such reliable communincation equipment would seize the oppertunity as a great marketing ploy for their products who made their spacesuits etc. we all know John,paul,George,& Ringo are the beatles yet say Neil, Buzz etc & most will say..WHO? sad isn't...us.2u

That is some possibiltys but I guess there are so many unexplained factors one I've thought of is the relavance of time as we know it, & not as we know it I wonder even if on our planet could it be possible for time zones or measures that we don't understand "yet" could this planet sustain life in a different dimension & time right here on this planet & just maybe when we think we've heard a voice a noise or whatever we haven't imagined it after all but that time & dimension maybe leaking into our own it sounds far fetched but so did unacountable facts throughout the centuaries. Even if this were remotely true to travel into another time warp that may or may not exist on our own planet would be impossible until we delve further into understanding. I even wonder if ghosts are of a different time warp & dimension of our own enviroment "animals", seem to sense unexplained presences so maybe there might be a clue there. A ghost has no dna so far as far as we know I guess there is no chemistry makeup but maybe we need different formulas for research or I'm just plain bonkers...us.2u

Looking at debates for & against especially from you scientists who are clearly above my intellect & learning I see there are still doubts even in the supreme intelligence sector i.e. "You Scienctists" all I am is an ordinary layman sceptic at times & just question abnormalities as they arise I never wish to question personal feelings but just deal with facts last night I viewed the conspiracy theory of the hoax landing yet again with a totaly neutral view yes some things were hard to make sense as it seemed like hidden truths on both sides but then fact can indeed be stranger than fiction "einestein", unravelled & untangled a lot a lot of mysteries & solved a lot of enigmas not all though. I believe with the "lunar landing", hoax or reality we all need to research as a team & forget emotions but just deal with hard evidence; with the evidence I've researched, in my opinion I believe the lunar landing was "factual" now doe's anyone have much data on active worlds i.e. active volcanos & what of Titan?

I do believe now the lunar landing did take place I did watch a proaganda vid where the stars & stipes flag was secured to the lunar ground; but "flapping" to what seemed to me like a gust of wind; I don't know if this was a mock vid or geniune anybody out-there to explain this one? If geniune... could a flag flap on the moon? At last I'm begining to make sense of this that it was proberable the lunar landing did take place but not 100% guarenteed does anyone know where these astronauts splashed down on their return & were the news cameras in exactly the right place to greet their return? Also I don't know if this is true but were'nt they clean shaven & their astro suits immaculate upon their return? Do they have their own laundry & bathrooms aboard? but if this is all true wouldn't it be likely these astronauts would be explaining their fantastic voyage to all of us or have they & I've missed it.I really hope they did visit the moon at the moment I believe it could have happened the answers are indeed coming back what doe's everyone else think.... they did.... or didn't.
