  1. But does gravity have a speed outside of a vacuum if so can we measure it?...us.2u H e l p
  2. Yes, but what is the speed of gravity ouside of a vacuum? & if it is the same or faster how do rockets fly through it's force? also is the speed of gravity & or light the same throughout the universe black-holes included (Not concealed in vacuums)...us.2u
  3. I don't find this answer decisive why mention 'vacuum?' Is the speed of light & gravity variable?...I don't know...us.2u
  4. Please answer the following question only if you are sure of the answer 'What is the speed of gravity in miles per second?...us.2u
  5. The rate of time
  6. Is time of the same measure throughout our universe & beyond? Or are there different sorts of measures? I only understand time as I was brought up with it & take it for granted, but is our time the same measure as for everywhere else?....us.2u
  7. Thanks crzykllrghst do you think eventually gravity could be stored to propel a mass object? I don't know how this might work but does it sound feasible for future travel in space? maybe gyro-scopically controlled by use of magnetism & gravity like our first flying saucer? Or does this seem outrageous?...us.2u
  8. Thanks for your insight Yourdadonapogas I believed they had something there; that gravity might be faster than light; can we measure the speed of gravity? Can we create it? as to making spaceflight? How do we define gravity & light as I believe there seems to be no volume, or mass but do they have energy? & can it be measured? Also when there is abscence of light is the gravitational force weaker or do we just imagine this?... us.2u
  9. http://www.metaresearch.org/cosmology/speed_of_gravity.asp I would love to know if this could be possible also I remember in my youth riding a pedal cycle at night seemed to be easier than riding in daylight & sound seems to travel further when it's dark; is this just imaginable or maybe light does slow things down slightly? And if gravitity is faster than light can we somehow store it for space tr avel?...us.2u
  10. I agree Syntax we're all ready to accept the big-bang & there were proberly lots of them
  11. Well you never know Az' but what is Jobaria? & be careful of the scorpions from Jupiter...2u
  12. Thank-you Azure-Phoenix I really appreciate the knowledge you have shared & the links are extremely 'informative' I've logged them to favourites & I feel all those 'astronomical' events which occured all those millions of years ago; just amazing! Once again Azure'Phoenix thanks for your knowledge...us.2u
  13. I thought the Earth was just another planet in space like Mars Jupiter etc.. so I presumed any planet especially Earth which we know supports life! Has everything to do with Astronomy as I believe we are just another planet orbiting in the Astrological system or have I got my facts incorrect? And Earth is nothing to do with space?...us.2u
  14. Does anyone know; were the Dinos the first walking animals on this planet? I believe they survived about 50 million years is that right? And I'm really confused to as how long have we've been around... some say only a million years yet fossils say we've been around for about 4 million years does anyone out-there know for sure?...us.2u
  15. Just a thought; if any of you moderators can set up a donation forum, to help out Nasa I'm happy to oblige & maybe all the Astro-Physics forums & the like could follow suit how about it?...us.2u

  17. NEBULAE.... Nebulae are clouds of dust within galaxies. Bright diffuse nebualae are areas of hydrogen gas where new stars are being formed. Two types of nebulae are linked with the late stages of star development planetary nebulae are shells of gas thrown off by red giant stars. while supernova remants are the twisted wreckage of exploded massive stars. Some nebulae are dark because they contain no stars to illuminate them,& are visible only when silhouted against a brighter background......us.2u
  18. So basically then anything we look at... is history in the making? Is that correct? e.g. even viewing our own sun is something like 8 or 9 miutes ago..if my theory is correct how far back can we see; can we see as far back as billions of years? or are we limited; If so doe's any one know our limits in simple clarification? e.g. can we see as far back as a billion years or further or what?....us.2u
  19. Doe's anyone know if there is a limit to how far we can view anything in the cosmos aided with techonology? Is there a limit...or limitless? how far can we go?...us.2u
  20. I thiught everrything we knew had a date stamped 4.5 billion years or younger guess I was wrong! so maybe existence is older than any cares to imagine that's great... coz forever looks like now that maybe possible...us.2u
  21. looking at some of these posts from man to man dosen't look too friendly; so i would advise aliens not to bother with us!...us.2u
  22. Thanks Noshi I will look forward to the arrival of new info....us.2u
  23. Most of us know Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun & that is encircled by a broadband of rings. Astronomers in the 1600's were mystified now they have been studied by telescopes & space probes. In 2004,the Cassini space probe arrived at Saturn to study the giant gas planet it's rings & moons. It carried a mini-probe,called Huygens,to investigste Saturns moon..."Titan" Scientists believe Titans atmosphere was similar to the air here that existed billions of years ago.....has this been proven? & are we any closer to learning the make-up of Saturns rings? have we learnt anthing from these investigations?...Has this been a wasted enterprise or are we benefitting?...us.2u
  24. I totally agree there Ophiolite which is why I think sending our codes to M13 is a pointless excercise; pherhaps aimed at a different location may be more, or likely to be beneficial.... everyones thoughts welcome...us.2u
  25. I don't know Sysco but indeed I'll do some research & get back to you; if I find any thing of interest...us.2u also Pangloss that is spot on with the message they sent; but I really do believe it was more than a demostration of power can you read the whole code? if not I'll relay to you exactly the translation of the code if you are interested...us.2u
