I don't have the answer about what type of clouds but I think Artourius was correct in this phenomea being sighted on the horizon or maybe even Coquina is correct I will try to find some update info & report back I'll be offline for a few days as we're moving but should be back with a report, by this coming friday thank-you

Yes it's only one of them if you look at the plough & Imagine it as a saucepan with a bent handle as I did when I was little; the top of the saucepan which would be the star on the left is only just visible I feel sure when I was little the luminosity of all the stars of the plough were fairly equal...It's probably of little interest or consequence to most but I was just curious & wondered if any else had noticed this too...

I believe science & advancement in life is absolutely essential otherwise I don't think we would've advanced much more than primates or caveman & still be living in the 3rd world; to not have insight to improve & advance to me seems extremely tunnel visioned. One might say yes but monies can be spent on other things...but just for one example if the science of the motorised world had never been invented we would probably all be starving! So I am a great believer in modern science & I feel to explore new avenues including space is in the interest of survival of us all & as Ophiolite says really as each day of our science & future science is explored I believe we are all contributing towards an understanding of life

I have noticed one of the seven stars over the ladst 4 or 5 tears has really dimmed prior to this I don't recall it being so dim is there an explanation for this? or has it always been so; & only recently I've noticed.

Some time ago I was reading a book titled "The Strange & Myserious" where they reckoned through some strange phenomea it could be possible to see a mirage in cloud formation...displaying another city or town in a completely different location reflecting what was actually happening. Also they maintained some of these cloud formations could reflect history from years gone by. I don't know if it's possible, that that there could be any truth in these stories or it was just sheer romantatism. Out of interest I'm asking you the experts phallacy or possibility?....Can our planet do that?....us.2u

It maybe or may not be luck life grew here by impact or natural earth resources but whether it did or not we're still just one of many planets in space. What I am convinced of though is we're not "alone" I would like to personally believe any constellation that can support a planet with the rudimenary ingredients i.e. heat oxygen water e.t.c. or whatever life needs to survive will occur & evolvement will be a natural phenonema, I think to try & believe we're the only ones is outrageous

I forgot to mention also while viewing last nights "What we still don't know" The human brain was compared to that of a dolphin the evolution pattern differed but yet after years of advancement both brains proved intelligence & self awareness yet their evolvement couldn't have been more different I believe what they are saying here is life, intelligence, & evoloution are no accident but seem to follow a kind of pattern as space doe's itself; but they believed; form & or shape of life might be so very different to our own then again it may not be... but D.N.A. is not restricted to Earth they proved it's out-there (Wow!)...us.2u

I viewed a very interesting topic here in the u.k. on channel 4 last night titled "What we still don't know" this was a program about searching for life intelligent or otherwise in outer space,however what I did find quite surprising was that they studied meteorites or comets & actually found forms of D.N.A. I don't know the exact condtruction of it,but I think I would have to agree with the narrator of the program that it would be extremely unlikely we are the only life form out-there, also he stated for years upon years we've been trying to communicate but hoped they would come to us & if they are out there they could be doing the same as us so basically we've been too indolent by not going forward & "seeking" the next program continues next sunday at 20.00 hrs intersesting stuff ....us.2u

I look at your questions Bettina, & Opholites maybe we did come from somewhere else but have you stopped to think supposing we did, another planet? a comet? or whatever; it still dosen't answer where why & how life of any form started at it's genesis, I've thought a lot on this & probably you & Opholite are correct we probably seeded extra-terrestrially & maybe that's why we're hell bent on exploring space one for survival & to find what we're all about ....us.2u

But even if we do master residence on the moon & Titan or a few others I thought setting up underground would be the only way initially; mind you I guess once technology has been configured & mastered these eventually will only be stepping stones of space exploratory; & colonising civilisation, extra terrestialy then hopefully future space travel will hold no limits;I believe this will be an extremely likely event looking at how far we've advanced since the dawning of civilastion of man so I guess we can forget about tomorows world but look to tomorows universe & beyond...us.2u

That proberly wraps it all up even the small percentage that's unexplained is proberly the goverment up to something & when they are they can hardly disclose it can they so there we are then no little green men after all ...us.2u

I have found some info in one of my reference books on Titan if anyones interseted I'll relay the info about ganymede,callisto,& titan,but your ideas of terra-forming sound excellent....or as Ophiolite says he may well come up with a more advanceful idea of colonising these planets looking forward to your forward thinking ideas sounds really exciting us.2u

If the temparature were raised on Titan by "100 degrees farenheit" unfortunately it's atmosphere would escape; but it's methane could be used for nuclear fuel to power rockets in the future...us.2u

No what I was referring to was a blinding lit up night sky whether or not u.f.o.'s were relevant or the cause of this I don't know maybe U.F.O's or flying saucers or extra-terretial craft caused this phenomena I don't know it's not my intention to mislead anyone I'm just curious & baffled to witness what I saw or maybe there's an easy explanation I just don't know & I just wondered if others have seen likened incidents I do apolgise for not making references perfectly clear...us.2u

As you say Time-Traveler I believe too much indolence creates procrastination but fortunately we're not all like that or achievements we would've had accomplished none. Personaly I find it unbelieveable & sad that some would not want our race to last eternally & find that "daunting" . I look to Titan as one of the primary steps to make this dream a reality I think all projects regardless of size are very exciting & a genuine prospect of continuing our existence a fantastic & neccassary step to advancement; my own belief, I find this hardly daunting I love life! respect it & I am grateful for my own, & the idea of tomorrows children having a future.. I believe is part of our reason for being here maybe the primates were the first chapter, we're the second,& hopefully we're generating the third...us.2u

There is so much speculation as to whether this phenmonea exist through the years I've seen maybe once or twice craft or something like that not being sure as to exactly what I've seen I guess I've just kept it to myself thinking there's proberly a valid explanation I remember in my youth the whole sky.. "viewing to my right"- in the distance, was incredibly bright light like lightning but it wasn't a flash it stayed there for I think approx 5-10 seconds then vanished this would've been in the south-west in the winter of the 1970's, other odd things have occured but I'll relate to them later if anyone's interested. But like I said there's always a reason isn't there?....us.2u

Wow, I'm impressed it's like star-trek in it's genesis I guess using the moon space stations, then Mars is like crawling then learning to walk, & eventually run; so if space is infinite I guess eventually if man is successful there will be no end to our future (well hopefully anyway) it's an incredible amount to think about if we succeed I guess we could be like space too...." infinite?" who knows?...us.2u

Once a lunar landing idea was scoffed at; am I out of my depth for imagining one day it might be possible to colonise Titan? I am only an ordainary layman, without scientific knowledge but lots of imagination, & I thought Time-Travelers idea was good I haven't seen a better one yet, do we hope & wish for too much? are our resources too limited? I don't know, but I do know a lot of you are really clever & I really do appreciate your wisdom; so am I getting too excited over the possibility of survival throughout space or will be doomed like goldfish in a bowl never to leave this planet?...us.2u

I believe that's how our planets formed initially but what I don't understand is why the sun was in orbit without purpose unless there was some kind of supreme forward thinking like the whole solar-sysyem was pre-planned if that was the case then maybe relgion would be an explanatory factor; anyone with practical theories?..... us.2u

I think your own ideas may have some possibilties Time-Traveler certainly not to be laughed at just think the idea of landing on the moon was laughed at once considering the lack of data we have about Titan pesenently which I'm sure is only tempory your constructive ideas in the survival of mankind at least by me are highly respected just think the more in depth data we get proberly the more yoiur insight & planning will hopefully work,so how about it everyone? can we all get more data about Titan & work towards a reality with Time-Travelers forward thinking in the interest of survival of us all?....us.2u

Remember we relate to life only as we know it; Titan may well support life exactly as we don't know it! I wonder could inhabitants reside on Titan even intelligent but totally different to our carbon make up & breathe different gases or maybe they don't breathe as we know it. There are volcanic eruptions on some planets even now so in one way that's life even as we know it isn't it?.....us.2u (Trees & plants breathe in carbon dioxide & out oxygen yet they live with us & we need them)

I guess it's a long quest is there E.T. life? some certainly think so I know there is only a very small percentage of unexplained sightings of U.F.O.'s but never the less they remain unexplained; just think there is alien abduction & I think detailed logs of their accounts are all similar,then there's unexplained accounts of the second & first kind the ones that truly can not be explained makes me wonder why? Doe's that mean governments know of extra-terrestial life but won't tell us so it's classed as unexplained; or they really are baffled? then I beleive in whoever wrote these words "FACT IS STRANGER THAN FICTION"...US.2U
