  1. Are there any jobs (that have a good pay) in the field of physics? I plan on getting a double PhD in theoretical physics and computer or electrical engineering. Would these degrees be profitable?
  2. I'll still do it, now that I think about it. I have no homework today (finished it all in class) so might as well do this essay. My teacher's very open minded, and since I'm so enthusiatic about this, I will not let her "convince" (i just say okay, but thinking what ever, I let it pass when I have an objection) me. She's a great teach. I know she'll try to read the essay. I'll post it here to see if there are any counter arguments, then my paper will be invincible!!!hahahahhahahahahaahhahahahahahahahaahhahahahaha!!(cackles)
  3. For the math part, true. I'm not challenged in any of my classes except P.E. (and sometimes language arts, specifically sentence machanics 'cause I over-think). I help an 8th grade teacher (while i'm only in 7th grade) with some stuff(usually physics). Sometimes, i feel like my brain is getting moldy from non-thinking. What's annoying is that in my English class, I think WAY TOO MUCH. For one, when we were learning the format for a thesis, my teacher had an example thesis:" Diversity makes life richer. It would be boring without diversity." I don't agree, because if it were not diverse, everyone and everything looked exactly the same, then guess what? we wouldn't know what diversity would be. We would be just fine with telling each other apart......and I could write a thesis on why I think the aforementioned thesis given by my teacher/class is untenable. (Maybe I should?):bs:  :lame:

    Time.

reverse time? Do you mean go back in time? Well, that's just impossible. (that is, if someone can get the positive energy out of a finite region of space....)

    Time.

I wonder what Einstein would have to say about this?
  6. Why isn't there a pm box appearing when I get a PM? I said I wanted one, but nothing's happened; and I have recieved a PM already, so I know it isn't working. thanks
  7. But there isn't such a thing as a perfect vacuum. There are just mediums, so is it possible in mediums like this universe?
  8. Oh, I get it! So like in a singularity, particles are "piled" on top of one another...?(not rhetorical)
  9. Oh...I knew that Why is it that people have math levels open to ALL grades, (in some schools like mine) so people in 7th grade who can do 9th grade math can take 9th grade math classes, but this system doesn't apply to other classes. I think its unfair.:lame: :bs: :spam:
  10. Why can't you just use the schrodinger equation? If you new the particle's original velocity, and position, couldn't you know the probable position and velocity inside a singularity/black hole?
  11. Yes, I know. My problem is that I don't see how animals can "evolve". People will say "genetic mutation..." and blah blah. Can any1 explain the details??
  12. Why, may I ask, isn't mass required? It is required, for space-time to be warped. Think of a singularity/blackhole. When they're infinitely dense, they contain an infinite amount of mass. Hence, warping space-time. Otherwise, space-time wouldd be warped without the presence of "anything".
  13. I have heard mass/energy being referred to as both matter. I don't understand the definition of matter.
  14. I heard that my aforementioned question is still contrevertial. I thought maybe we could specualte or something. I don't know for sure, do they breakdown at singularities?
  15. How do you find the wave function of a particle in a black hole? Do you just use Schrodinger's Equation?
  16. Wow! 12 electives. I'm allowed 1. My, what a contrast.
  17. That cleared up a lot. Also, another thing is the evolution of animals like how some dinosaurs became birds. How did that happen? I know that's still in debate so here's another example: human evolution.
  18. Yup. I want to be a science teacher's TA. He wanted me to be his TA, and now when I told him, he was pleased. Gee, I'm such a nice gal....heh, just being sarcastic. In highschool, how many elective classes are you allowed to have?
  19. In evolution, genetic mutations occur according to the enviromental changes. How EXACTLY does this happen? What initially makes the DNA mutate?? I really don't understand it.
  20. Actually, no, he didn't drop out. He did poorly...in college, he used to hang out at a coffee shop and would just study the notes taken by his friend.
  21. I was wondering, do you have to take 2-3 years of a foreign language IN HIGHSCHOOL only? to describe my situation: I finished, Spanish,an elective class in November and was wondering if I should take the class all year next year, in 8th grade. I believe it would help me in highschool, by reducing my years taking a foreign language. But then, on the other hand, the Spanish teacher is excructiatingly boring(in fact, he's the most boring teacher I've ever had). So should I waste 50 minutes a day for a whole school year being bored to death (and learning Spanish) because I think it might help me in highschool or not? My alternative(that I have chosen) is being a TA, a Teacher's Assistant. What do you guys think???
  22. okay, my html abilities aren't the greatest (in reference to the above equation i posted) but the "ba" is supposed to be beta.
  23. What does that "N" stand for?? I have no idea what you just wrote (mainly 'cause I don't know the symbols, except the dyne) BTW, do you know of this equation: [psi]=p1/2 Re [ba]/2 Its supposed to be a quantum foam equation. What is a dyne?
  24. How embarassing. And, fafalone, you say that the press will not heed to the [productive] criticism inflicted by physicists?:lame: :bs:
