  1. I will listen to what they have to say if they can tell me how to live safely with these.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorist_organization Their are a lot of them and don't anyone tell me that leaving evil alone will stop the killings or the inhuman oppression of women in the name of Allah as witnessed in Afghanistan. Its worse than a lack of forsight. Its burying your head in the sand like a coward would do. I don't like killing of any kind, but what do you do if they want to kill you Bettina
  2. No. The link works fine for me too... It could be your router because your exact problem happened to me with another site awhile back. I have a Netgear MR814 and this is what my friend told me to do which fixed the problem. You might be able to apply it to your kind of router.... Bee 1. Go to your router login setup screen and click on "Basic settings" 2. Click on "Router Status" 3. Write down the primary and secondary DNS server IP addresses. 4. Go back to "Basic Settings" and scroll down to DNS sections. 5. Click on "Use the following DNS servers" instead of automatic options. 6. Type in the entrys you wrote down in step 3. 7. Save the settings and log out. 8. Go to the command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns" (without the quotes) 9. Try reconnecting to your web site.
  3. I couldn't find a free software one for you but here is an idea my friend told me. He said to buy a timer (the ones used to turn lights on or off at different times of the day) and plug your cable modem into that. Some timers have keys so you can lock it. Your modem would only turn on at the times you specify.... Bettina

  6. Almost..... A friend sent me this... http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/07/24/china.hydrogen.car.ap/index.html Bee

  8. You made me laugh.... :-) Thanks. But this is what I've always thought too... except for the porn and pot. Magazines with pictures would be a great idea for them to see what their government is not allowing them to see or have. I like that idea... Bee
  9. Thanks for the honest opinion and I won't slam you. First, I believe their intentions of pursuing nuclear power for peaceful purposes is a lie. Iran sits on huge oil reserves that would easily and more inexpensively satisfy all of their power requirements now and in the future. What you see is a disguise for their true intention of building a weapon but I do agree with you that using it on Israel would be self annihilation. However, they could sell it to countries that would use it and done right so the finger cannot be pointed back to them. At least they would think that. As far as Iran being evil. IMO it very much is. There is hard evidence obtained by many countries that Iran and Syria have their hands deep into terrorism. In reference to the middle east, the word evil is not being overused. It describes people who plan and target civilians for destruction. Not soldier killing soldier but soldiers purposely killing as many innocent civilians as possible. Women, children, babies are their primary targets. I don't know what all the threats are, but Iran is tops on my list and should be stopped from going any further. Bettina
  10. Yes, it is my opinion but its based on the actions of Irans president that I see and read every day. I have a question for you.... Do you believe (your opinion) that Iran is secretly trying to produce a nuclear weapon? Bee
  11. I won't argue with that. I have issues with my government too. Bee
  12. Exactly. How does one deal with the Hamas government that still calls for the destruction of Israel at any cost. Bee
  13. Iran is a country run by a liar and that liar takes orders from other liars. They won't take on Israel directly but rather in some sort of clandestine operations to keep the conflict going. This buys them time to continue pursuing nuclear weapons. But yes, they would stoop that low to do some clandestine activities. Bee
  14. Libya for one. What you must do is stop the literal teachings of Islam to young people but I don't know how that can be done without invading the country and changing the government. Like you said, the UN is a pointless organization that has no real power, so to me, its the responsibility of the civilized nations..... all of them.... to fight it. What bothers me are the countries (and people) who bury their head in the sand and wait for it to go away. It won't. Bee
  15. Yes, McAfee which I pay a yearly fee for, does just that. It scans your computer before windows starts and then onward from that. I've had it for two years now and never got a virus.... Bee
  16. I disagree. Terrorists DO have destructive weapons and their being taught how to use them every day. The middle east IS the breeding ground and even today their children are still being taught to hate and kill Jews and infidels. Iran IS the biggest problem that the world faces today and to put nukes in the hands of religious mullahs who wish Israel destroyed is something that cannot be allowed. The "war on terror" is very real. Its just that people like Severian choose to ignore it. He seems to be trying to smooth over his remarks now, but his earlier posts tell me all I have to know about his mindset. He's very good at what he does and that mindset appears in many countries who wish to stand idle and let some other country worry about fighting terrorism. Bee
  17. Biggotry agains Terroists? Again, that was the response I expected from you. But don't worry, when those who fight terrorism in order to make the world a better place, you and those that think like you, will get it free. I am proud of what our soldiers are doing and proud of Israel too. Again, hide and keep safe. Bettina
  18. I think I would reverse that order. Iran is much more evil than Syria and has been taunting the world with its anti Jewish remarks more openly and are looking to build Nuclear weapons under the guise of nuclear power. They aren't fooling me one bit. Iran is a world problem and I don't like the idea of my country doing all the dirty work. Exactly. And add blowing up supermarkets full of women and kids which is their specialty. I'm sorry to say this but the "other countries" you mentioned are cowards. Bee
  19. I believe it is true. In Michio Kaku's book, HYPERSPACE, which I have read, flatlanders cannot see up or down in their two-dimensional world and cannot see you looking down at them. All they see are other lines. When a sphere passes thru their world they see a varying line from small to big then to small again. But, for the flatlander to see another it must have some inherent thickness. Bettina
  20. It was a cool video and I somewhat understand the meaning of it. However, I have a hard time believing in string theory no matter how many articles I read on it. BTW, a true flatlander would not be able to see another flatlander unless he had some minimal height. In fact, he would see nothing. Bee
  21. Ditto for me too. Nice posts. Bee
