I'm getting the same thing. I've done it twice tryig to see if I fooked up somewhere but I cant find anything. On a different note: I'm still stuck on apprentice 3, can somebody give me a hint?
-
Actually for me this one was kinda easy. Right click and see if there was an option that wasnt there before: "Scratch The Surface" hint hint. If you need to go to the previous window to compare.

Ok, I was watching an episode of unsolved mysteries a while ago, and it stated that people who play games like Magic, D&D, Call of Cthullu, etc. were more likely to commit homocide! Were do they get the nerve to say something so unarguably stupid! Now I dont know about any of you, but i've been playing RPG's for years and i have no desire whatsoever to commit homoci....urk....kiiillllllll...

Electrical Impulses Cure Depression?
Kindria2000 replied to Kindria2000's topic in Anatomy, Physiology and Neuroscience
Well honestly I'm looking into a way to stop violent antisocial behavior. I know it in most likeliness isn’t possible, but I'm trying to cover all bases. Direct contact to the brain seems alot easier then trying to find a way to get a chemical through the blood brain barrier and have it affect just one part of the brain. Like I said, I'm looking at all possible solutions, and this has just become a candidate. Read this for a better idea of my motives: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=7664 -
AHHHH I got it!!!!!!!!

I've found than whenever you find some way to make someone "unnaturally" smarter, stronger, faster, etc. etc. It can be viewed as unethical. Some people seem to make it there lifes work you prove that something is unethical and I'm sure anything can really be labeled as such. Probibly not the answer you were looking for, but thats my opinion (I've had some issues in debate with this whole whats ethical thing.)

Last night my father and I were coming home from the mall and we turned on NPR (National Public Radio.) There was a really interesting peice on how Dr. Helen Mayberg of Emory University had implanted small wires the size of a human hair into Area 25 of the brain. Apparently the higher the electrical impulse, the happier and more peacful the patient became. One even said that when the procedure was applyed to him, it seemed as if someone had pulled up the shades and everything seemed brighter. One female patient said to have an immense sense of calm and rest and as soon as they lowered the power going into her brain she knew that they had changed something. Now I have a few questions: 1.) Were is area 25 of the brain? I've been researching for the last hour or so, and I cant find anything refering to it. 2.) If this process can cure depression, could it also cure other behavioral ailments? For a quick blurb of the broadcast I heard last night visit this NPR article: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4627438 The reason for my questions relate to my other thread concerning the alteration of anti-social behavior: http://www.scienceforums.net/forums/showthread.php?t=766

Question: Do you think that alternative learning environments are "better" than say a normal classroom environment? For example, I go to a School called the Harwood Community Learning Center. I go there for two hours every day for 4 days a week and am completely focused in my work. Another great thing about this program is that I am able to create my own curriculum. For example, I'm doing a science project on Anti Social Behavior Modification. I would have never been able to do something like that I was in a "Normal" High school. If I were in a normal science class, than I would be failing because I was bored or was talking to my friends, etc. But even though I'm with other people that i talk to, I am always working. I think that you can get away with a lot of slacking in a normal High school. Anyway, what I am wondering is if you think that alternative schools would be a better place to learn than a regular class were even if you don’t get it, the rest of the class does so your left behind. I know I'm kind of being biased, but I want your opinion. Heres the website for my school so you can get a feel for it: http://www.harwoodclc.org/

During my research I'm hearing more and more about the amygdala (the right prefrontal cortex.) So does anyone have any imput on the anti-social ("negative") reactions of the brain. A big place that i have been researching is the news archives of the University of Wisconsin-Madison college. http://www.news.wisc.edu/releases/

Wow, only a few days and you already have so many responses! But to answer your question, yes I do get ill. Actually for a very long time I tried to isolate myself from others so I couldnt pick up on them as well. Its kind of ironic isnt it, you can say that you understand how someone feels, but they never really know that you DO know how they feel. It can be a very dangerous thing to live with, for instance, my friend *no name given* was on the outside a popular guy who had lots of friends, but was extreamly depressed. Unfortunatly when I tried warning people that he would try hurting himself (and i knew this because every time I talked to him I was filled with a deep sense of self loathing) they didnt listen to me. He finally attempted suicide in one of the school bathrooms by slitting both of hit wrists. The teachers wouldnt tell us what was going on (they had the entire school on lockdown), but as I'm sure you can relate, I just "knew". I visited him in the hospital later ONLY because I knew he needed someone ther for him. Otherwise I try as hard as I can to stay away from hospitals and vet offices and the such because of what I am afraid it will do to me. Heres a hint: I had to leave after a while, and I passed out in my car in the parking lot. My friend Angie is also an empath, although she doest feel exactly what others feel, she too "knows" when someone is down and she gets terrible headaches. Anyway, I hope that I can be someone that you can relate to, and good luck finding more people like us.

Yeah I'm an empath, its stressful isnt it...
