    well, seeing as how I don't read science magazine, I couldn't have known that they published an article on it, could I? So they're using viruses to fight the other cold viruses? That's what it sounds like you said.

    The cold virus is not a single virus, but there are many different forms that are constantly mutating. I wish we could fight it, but there is no simple way to combat this. What is this research you speak of? Please provide a source.

  8. right... the "R" denotes any group of atoms. This is done to show whats "important" or the functional groups in the molecule.

    Only if you use enzymes compatible with double stranded DNA. Who is to say that extraterristrial life could form a ligase to replicate 3 or 4 or n strands of DNA?

  12. I'm Zach, I'm a high school senior from Long Island. I'm interested in the biological sciences, I've done some reseach at Stony Brook University, to discover conditions that certain virulence factors are expressed in uropathogenetic E. coli, usefull knowledge for urinary tract infections.
