Post this question on a "redneck" site and you'll have the exact opposite results.. Lol. But the truth is: FOX is bias, and run by crackpots. That should be clear to even the fruit cakes who watch it.

I've experienced this myself due to a car accident when I was 15. Greg Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedTime perception is an interesting topic.. Does time pass faster when you're younger, or for different animals? Is it possible to know the answer to these questions?
-
Yep, nobody ever wants to admit they're a racist a-hole. But in this case, even the illiterate can read between the lines... "I have a pile of black friends", etc... This guy dug a hole so deep he'll never get out.
-
Did that make any sense?
-
Who do you think deserved this prize?
-
Sort of. But I was wondering if there would be some sort of (quantized) relationship (I doubt it now). The electrostatic force between a proton and electron in a hydrogen atom should be around 8.23e-8 N (i believe, using bohr radius) .. Is this there maximum electrostatic force possible between a + and - charge, or a - and - charge? If so, could it be consider quantized like angular momentum or some other quantities .. 8.23e-8 N / (2,3,4) etc.
-
I started wondering about this again the other day. What is the smallest mechanical force (nano scale) ever observed? How was it done? I couldn't find anything useful on google. Merged post follows: Consecutive posts mergedCan this thread be moved out of speculation.. Most of the "speculation" is really just a question.

SH3RLOCK, I think you're just trying to play devil's advocate here... Show me the specifics on Obama's anti firearm legislation/voting... Obama is CLEARLY for common sense firearm laws, and I'm not sure why you would believe otherwise...
-
Nope, I'm not over 50 ... Can you find anything more recent?
-
GreenPeace is a good example of a left wing group. But I'm still looking a reference to a political advertisement where a group (like GreenPeace) tries to manipulate an election by airing a commercial that twists the truth..
-
It sounds to me like you're just spouting off random topics... Give me some specific references, i.e. web campaigns or TV campaigns, etc... From real (lobbyist) organizations.. Not just random wack-job web sites.
-
Yes. But I do live in California... So that could be why.
-
Do you have any specific references? I've never seen a commercial aired that attempted to convince anyone to believe these statements..
-
I would say dirty politics, and lobbyist groups are masters of it... It's just unfortunate they have to twist the truth to get their way (and it's legal).. I can think of several right wing campaigns that twist the truth... (ie. anti gay marriage, and a few others) What are some extreme left campaigns that twisted the truth?
-
And take a look at that site, http://gunbanobama.com/, so you understand what I'm talking about...

I still feel the NRA takes an extreme stance for gun rights, and I'm talking about legislation and political views specifically not safely and hunting programs, classes, etc (They do believe in and promote gun safety & education, and I'm not saying they don'tl) ... I still haven't seen any pro common sense gun law supported by the NRA. Please post a direct link if you have one. Here is the DNS information: Administrative Contact: Hayes, Tony webmaster@nrahq.org National Rifle Association of America 11250 Waples Mill Rd Fairfax, VA 22030 United States 7032671097 Anyway.. Lots of extreme anti-obama-he'll-take-my-guns-away views exist out there (regardless of whether it is a cult-like group or not) ... What do you call this type of misconception (conspiracy theory)?
-
I haven't had any luck finding references that say the NRA has supported any common sense gun legislation (there might be a few out there), they might just support some gun legislation just to build their credibility.. The best thing I could find is a forum post of someone saying the NRA supports gun safety mechanisms.
-
What? Are you not familiar with the N.R.A at all? They are absolutely anti-any_type_of_gun_regulations_what_so_ever ... This is a fact, not an opinion.. Their (from what I've seen) mentality is: Any sort of gun requirements or regulations, is just taking away little pieces of their 2nd amendment right.. After enough pieces are taken away, it will be easier to ban guns all together.. That is bad. This is how they think, and to a certain extent I agree with them. The key word here is "most liberals" .. We're not talking about "most liberals". You are generalizing. Look at Obama's voting history on gun related issues... Almost everything he has supported is "common sense".
-
Well, there is probably a better word for this (not a "cult"). Here is a specific group and example.. The gun fanatics (and NRA, cheerleader) honestly believe that Obama will take away their gun rights, like it's his secret agenda or something. Yet, there is no proof that Obama wants to do this, and his voting record shows he's for "common sense" gun laws (which he admits) .. (the NRA are anti - common sense guns laws) Ever since Obama was voted into office, all these people started buying guns and ammo by the pallet, starting militias, etc.. There's been a pretty bad ammo shortage lately, I couldn't find 9mm anywhere.. So here are a few more questions... Is the NRA responsible for this ignorance, or is it just word of mouth via the bias ignorant folks (brainwashing eachother)? Should propaganda sites like this be illegal? is it unethical? What is the word this kind of manipulation? Here is a N.R.A (propaganda site). http://gunbanobama.com/
-
Also.. imo.. Any lower/middle class republican who's number one concern is "their economic benefit" must be at least a little brainwashed to vote republican.
-
I just think there is a common denominator between the "religious (right)", cults, and the overall mentality of the party. Maybe republicans are more likely (compared to democrates) to be manipulated by propaganda and the powers that be (Glenn Beck, NRA, etc) and use irrational thought processes to believe (or have faith) in what they say.
-
I'm not big on politics, but in general it seems like there's much more ignorance surrounding the republican party... Are democratic and independent voters as brainwashed as the republican party, or does it just seem that way? The majority of the republican voters (fanatics) seem to be either.. A.) Gun owners who think Obama will take away their guns (which going by his voting record is a myth or conspiracy theory). Or B.) just political fanatics, who will overlook reality on all the issues just to maintain faith in their party.
-
What is the value of a thought experiment that isn't possible?
-
Lol.. A little off topic. Don't you think?
-
So it seems you're inferring for something to exist you must observe it with photons? If you close your eyes and throw a tennis ball as hard as you can, then it comes back and hits you in the head... Would it be safe to assume there is an object in front of you? That invisible object that made the ball come back at you could be considered an electron.
