  1. Hello everyone, In 2003 I received my A+ Certification and worked as a computer technician for a couple of years. I loved it, but for reasons I don't want to talk about, I've been away from the Computer World and have plans to get a BS in either Business Administration with concentration in Information Systems or a BS in Computer Science. I'm not very confident about the programming part, but maybe it will grow on me as I go. I am at a point where I need to choose a path to take. But my main question is, even though I've been superficially aware of where technology today is, and tried to learn a thing here and there about it with personal use, I feel that I have forgotten much of the basics and need to get up to speed with today's technology and grow from there. It seems that my A+ certification is for life (I believe that after 2011 you need to renew it after 3 years, correct me of I'm wrong), but that means nothing to me since I have forgotten much of what I've learned and have been away from any computer experience for 10 years. I'm 32 years old and want to make sure I have the basics in place and grow from there. Should I renew my A+ certification? What path should I take? Is there a book I can read? Thank you!
