IMO, the most abundant sources of energy, the Solar, Wind, and Water will become the energy sources of tomorrow. But the potential of Hydrogen holds the most promise. Theoretically one can generate more energy than is used to generate that energy (fusion technology). We have had successful experiments on an extremely small scale with lasers providing the enormous pressures required for fusion.
