  1. You are not abiding by the rules for that section and are mixing, matching and outright making up terminology. Pretty valid assessment.
  2. Acts as an electrolyte. Galvanic corrosion can occur as a result.
  3. And if the one had an actual water fueled car he wouldn't be in prison for fraud right now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water-fuelled_car#Daniel_Dingel
  4. What would happen if you set the bike sideways, then spun both the wheel and the bike around the wheel hub at different rates?
  5. Your immune system needs a sample to know what to go after. It is kind of like the viral definitions list your antivirus program uses. Often a virus is rendered inactive(killed) before being used in a vaccine. Other times weakened or milder relatives of the virus are used instead. Many of these places actually have decent vaccination rates. Should also note that we see about 95 times as many tourists. You figure with how Ebola can hide out for an additional month or so, the only realistic solution is to monitor and isolate.
  6. I think it simply wouldn't make sense for evolution to ignore the chance to pass on shorter term information to the next generation. Most of what I've seen looks like coding for quality control and environmental info. Nothing too ridiculous to pass on via the equivalent of metadata or by utilizing the temporary connectivity between mother and child.
  7. What if I just want the ultimate in accessories?
  8. They do have the radiation detectors scattered around. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiation_Portal_Monitor There are probably more in our major cities that have not been made public knowledge. Besides the change in density, would any other factors be impacted at the same time?
  9. Do you mean an accretion disc? There's no cause to think that one could give birth to another. It might be more or less jostled around via assorted force interactions and may increase in mass. Should also define what you mean by 'baby'. They do not need to be massive or large.
  10. ^lol, I am way too much of a literalist. Leaving aside Rule 34, I think this should be your next goal:
  11. I can only hope you meant "onto" instead of "into"...
  12. A lack of blood flow or even blood itself doesn't necessarily signal the end.
  13. Sure that's allowed. Earnshaw's doesn't cover diamagnetic materials.
  14. Earnshaw's Theorem would apply and is why one point is against a wall. This source explains things pretty well: https://www.kjmagnetics.com/blog.asp?p=mendocino-motor-1
  15. Digging into things, it looks like the software developers are already giving the code a full overhaul when they release IP.Board 4.0(within few months). That should improve matters greatly.
  16. Tables are used extensively on the main page and the styling for them is what is likely causing the visual issues. Honestly, I wasn't expecting that at all, tables are rarely used these days and never for layout. and yes, the Parser is also wonky. Place all your code on one line and that will keep that giant block of white space from appearing. It seems to not even like vaguely acknowledging the alignment data. And no, I've never seen the 'ta' bbcode tag for tables anywhere ever before here. It might be an idea to look at moving the forum content to another platform(keeping the same site and everything). Most of issues would be relatively easy to correct, but it would really be better to start fresh.
  17. lol Should only need to change the last table tag to [/ta] and then place it all on a single line(pasting into and copying from the search bar should take care of this).
  18. After some testing... Use this: http://www.teamopolis.com/tools/bbcode-table-generator.aspx to generate your table. Change the 'table' tag to: ta='ditto'. Paste the code into your search bar, copy it from your search bar. Remove all unnecessary spaces. Paste here.
  19. If the radius isn't assumed constant, the force produced could go up, down or even remain constant. ie. (2/4)F = 2m1m2G / (2r)2 Just easier if you minimize what you have to factor in. We can certainly imagine that the existing mass becomes denser. r is the distance between centers of mass. For anything human sized on the surface of the Earth, you may as well use the Earth's radius for simplicity.
  20. That is a result of the equation: If the Earth's mass increases, then the force of gravity for the planet will increase(assuming a constant radius). Attaching rockets and nudging something to collide with the planet, would work(though current residents might object). We don't have any technology at present that can hide mass. Considering the space-time connection we may never have the means to do so. Possibly gravitons(if they exist) can be manipulated. That is the only vaguely possible way I can see. There are event horizons, though I'm not sure if the mass can be said to be truly hidden in those cases.
  21. I think the service I saw had a download option. I thought it was a slick setup, but wouldn't be terribly hard to set up something similar on your own. Free online QR code generator and Dropbox or the like. and yeah, would depend on your audience. I've even seen the derided wall o' text poster attract attention from some of the foreign attendees.
  22. I think it is pretty probable considering the number of times that trait has appeared.
  23. Found this, I think it provides a good overview on the subject: http://colinpurrington.com/tips/poster-design ^Professional/Academic poster centric. QR Codes might be something else to look at. I know there are services out there(host your content and provide printed QR Code), but should be easy enough to do yourself and come out looking nicer. Either way, I've seen them used to good effect.
  24. Reading China Miéville's the City & the City. A crazy setting with two cities existing unseen around one another. Do some digging and find there's a whole area within my own city I didn't know about... What the?
  25. Looks like more or less my original conjecture is as close to valid as is reasonable for an online forum to prove. Thank you everyone who responded. p.s. Feel free to return to the ongoing debate, just don't kill each other over numbers.
