    Diamond age

    Sure thing: https://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Age-Bantam-Spectra-Book-ebook/dp/B000FBJCKI/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=
  2. Definitely. Clear that OP is submitting to incorrect locations and more generally has unrealistic expectations as to results. Even if published no guarantee Harvard would accept or look at helping with costs.
  3. Some conferences give discounts for their Volunteers.
  4. You are not following the steps necessary to achieve your goals. You are unlikely to make progress.
  5. Somehow I suspect you ended up helping as well Many thanks for the explanation.
  6. I always wondered how that worked. Appears as spontaneous organization watching from the sidelines.
  7. He mentions a cult leader. I agree not the greatest sources are available. Self publishing cost money. The official records were largely lost. Hopefully doesn't repeat or we could well have a group debating Joseph Smith's historicity and using the fact that over a century has passed to decide that he may not have because no earlier records of his existence were found before this.
  8. Tacitus briefly mentions him.

  10. Welcome. Reminded me of a similar pattern seen in Lychrel numbers. 196 + 691 = 7 18 7 (887) 887 + 788 = 15 16 15 (1675) 1675 + 5761 = 6 13 13 6 (7436)
  11. Hyperphysics has formulas if that helps any: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/mi.html If you could clarify your values, that would help in providing a response. We can guess, but don't want to steer you wrong.
  12. You can reuse the water in other ways as well. Probably simpler option. Generally everyone needs to flush or has plants that need watering.
  13. Heating and possibly static electricity. If it works as a compass though, you definitely managed to magnetize it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermoremanent_magnetization
  14. Bead went back to normal shape after a bit thankfully. They shrunk faster than I expected outside. May be okay outdoors, but I moved them onto a patch of perpetually moist mold to see.
  15. You just need to match velocities again. What I do is visualize a ruler for time as changing relative. Really it isn't a clock thing, so much as it is a time thing. Could be a couple of twins blowing a bubble every minute just as well. At the conclusion of the trip the counts will be different.
  16. Magic 11's is what you've happened upon. 1 5 10 10 5 1 -> 1 + 50 + 10*100 + 10*1000 + 5*10000 + 1*100000 = 161051 http://jwilson.coe.uga.edu/EMAT6680Su12/Berryman/6690/BerrymanK-Pascals/BerrymanK-Pascals.html
  17. Normally? Decor, slow release of liquids(water typically), toys. https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=waterbeads&rs=typed&0=waterbeads%7Ctyped&remove_refine=water%7Ctyped They can be scented, glow, water plants, be a toy, be used in decor, but you only ever see them used in one sort of container or another. Was thinking someone using them for their plants might have noticed something. Personally I was thinking to make items with them that change when wet(or at least don't involve a container). 'Berries' on a painting that swell after a storm. A Dream Catcher whose beads can change size. That sort of thing.
  18. Worked as expected. The hard form is interesting by itself. Doesn't slide and with such a small hole for the thread has the appearance of a liquid droplet. Re-hydrating... Not sure what to make of this... Going move on with putting them outside.
  19. http://www.putzmeisteramerica.com/news/press-releases/Putzmeister-Boom-Pumps-Help-Cool-Fukushima-Daiichi-Plant-Reactors Lots of brains on this planet.
  20. Testing it out. Want to test what happens after the bead shrinks up first. One of the larger ones split apart on me while I was threading it(kinda freaky). One of the halves from it is at the bottom for further testing. After they dry, plan is to rehydrate them, put them outside and see what happens.
  21. Learning about asymetric waveforms in the trumpet was interesting.
  22. This talks a bit about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cavity_quantum_electrodynamics
  23. Iso-octane isn't the best, so if we're using iso-octane as our arbitrary 100 rating on our scale other substances can have higher ratings. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Octane_rating#Isooctane_as_a_reference_standard My experience is that knocking is typically caused by unburnt fuel. Anything that burns cleanly is going to do great in that respect.
  24. Yeah, I was originally thinking of a hybrid(depending on the volume). Solar stills are normally slow, but if you incorporate the spa itself as a water heater should speed up the evaporation.
  25. Stop with the self pity. http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/22/ugandas-ugliest-man-has-become-a-father-for-the-eighth-time-5257601/
