  1. I'm actually trying to make a visualizer for this. Superclusters plotted along the Time axis. Not hard to make it so you can slide back and forth and see how the perspective of someone in one of those superclusters is impacted.
  2. I suspect need to consider time dilation. Distance:Time ratio is what remains constant.
  3. Bunch of gestures out there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gestures#Single_handed_gestures
  4. Think he mentioned it in case this was homework related. I don't think I even saw tea in high school :¥
  5. Reading online, near-toasting the bread is recommended. Desiccants could probably serve. There are reusable commercial options: http://www.amazon.com/Hydrosorbent-OSG-40-Dehumidifier-Desiccant-Chloride/dp/B0037Z8K3E/ref=pd_sbs_328_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=41q34MiDCML&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0FYNFGHXXKRYKNYWSM9C and cheaper cat litter, typically wrapped up in a coffee filter. Probably need to experiment a bit and see what works.

    Zoo Tragedy

I could see a glass fence working. Still transparent, but too sheer for a child to climb. I have seen child leashes, but think they send the wrong message.

That's okay. I only eat organic and antibiotic free.
  8. Interesting how the senses and brain's adaptation to them shapes dreams. I get a few that are problem related. Work, relationships, future self driving car problems, you know, normal stuff... Most are just extreme versions of the everyday with no obvious reason for being so.

You would be okay with Bob taking your house if Bob said it was okay for Bob to take your house? Basically the issue. I'm pretty sure all the arbitrators do is award damages in the case that they can't get the parties to reach some kind of agreement. Have to have something or businesses just won't bother or worse resort to getting their government to embargo and attempt to overthrow a foreign power because it nationalized their refinery. I just wonder if people will be able to hate a company they associate with a plain looking pill bottle to the same extent. In the EU there is stuff in the food, in the US there is stuff on the food. I'm switching to Soylent. :|

What is the law on product recalls in the UK? Politicians are responsible for ratifying it. We'd probably still be negotiating the end of WWI if we tried direct democracy for treaty ratification. These are selected bits from Wikipedia and a US Gov's site on the matter: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Investor-state_dispute_settlement#Tribunals https://ustr.gov/about-us/policy-offices/press-office/fact-sheets/2015/march/investor-state-dispute-settlement-isds http://investmentpolicyhub.unctad.org/ISDS?status=1 Should treat what you consume from the media as if it were a PopSci article. Totally different if you decide that these corporations really are rat bastards when you have all the information. You've got it backwards. This is all an elaborate ploy for the EU companies to start importing Kinder Surprise eggs and the like to the US.

That bit may not happen, as there is opposition here to ISDSs as well. I'm not really for/against it so much so I'm against businesses preying on emotions to further protectionism. I do wish proceedings were more open. Some way where the work could get done without it getting bogged down in endless debate. Honestly TTIP was barely even on my radar, trade happens the other way around where I live. People come here, exchange their currencies for goods and services and then happily haul the stuff home.

Who stands to gain if they get you to fight against it? Products still containing asbestos are limited. Not like we're all running around in fireproof T-shirts over here. The chicken is washed with a pretty diluted amount. Not an uncommon process. Have you ever looked at what some of the ancestors of crops looked like? Why do deliberate changes rather than random mutations, freak you out but what is already on your plate does not? Honestly, I think EU needs this more than we do. Probably going to be more country bailouts down the line. No small amount of resistance to measures to improve productivity and reduce debt, even in the countries that could use it the most.
  13. There's imprinting.
  14. Water is a chemical. How do you intend on farming without water? Other planets have moons too though the gas giants themselves will likely fuel humanity for longer than our entire existence prior to this point. If we're modifying ourselves, why expect we'll still require an Earth-like environment?
  15. I need to borrow your Narrator :/ The whole, "Shifting my awareness to different objects and eventually dust; while evading pursuit before venturing into the creepy village." Made zero sense the other night. I do feel they sometimes point you to needing to make a change. AI's sometimes get stuck in loops. Brain may have a similar issue that dreaming can help resolve.
  16. Any links to news articles?
  17. He has received donations from big businesses. Not anywhere vaguely close to as much as Hillary and mostly from forward thinking(IMO) tech companies, but big for all that. https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/contrib.php?cycle=2016&id=N00000528&type=f Hillary's for perspective: https://www.opensecrets.org/pres16/contrib.php?id=N00000019&cycle=2016&type=f&src=b
  18. Different forms of communal living, working together, have worked out fine. The big country wide ones had other issues though. Many tried to buck the market or establish autarky on top. Market forces wull oppose either, utilizing smuggling, blackmarkets, graft and corruption in the process.
  19. Second Sansevieria started to brown. First one is still going strong. I'm thinking it did preserve and just wasn't obvious about it color wise. Only problem with successful preservation is that repeat pictures are kind of pointless...
  20. Be serious. We all know Swansont simply checks in PRISM when he updates the time for the NSA. Goggling posts in quotes can unmask multiple accounts as well, if they reuse names.
  21. Basic cost of living doesn't scale with income. Main issue of a flat tax. Nice for the wealthy, not so much for everyone else. You don't necessarily need to work for money, but you do have to work to survive. I think this is what is gradually changing as we move towards a form of post-scarcity economy.
  22. That is what I got as well. (c/(2*Pi)) * 24 hours https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orbital_speed#Mean_orbital_speed
