Thanks for moving the thread. However, I realize what the rules say, and I'm not asking for the answers. I'm merely asking for tips, as I have to give my own example for how the rule of 70 works. I'll post up some of what I have after I finish my rough draft.
Not sure if this is where I should post this question, but I have a few questions about the rule of 70. I'm doing an extra credit project over the Rule of 70, and in doing so, I need to give an example of how exponential growth works. I've tried doing research, but I'm not sure if what I've found is really what I need to know. If someone could better explain to me how the rule of 70 works, maybe I could get an idea for showing an example of how the rule works.

So I'm still VERY new to chemistry, and right now I'm just focusing on different general compounds. However, I still don't quite understand WHY exactly you put different numbers after some elements. Here are just some examples...can someone PLEASE explain to my why these numbers go where they do, and HOW I FIND THEM?
Examples:
Silver Carbonate - AgCO3 -- I don't understand the 3
Calcium Nitride - Ca3N2 -- I don't understand the 3 and 2
Aluminum Sulfide - Al2S3 -- I don't understand the 2 and 3

I had a lab in Chemistry class today and I'm supposed to answer a few questions. The lab was creating NaHCO3. The question I'm stuck on is... "To make sure that the white powder was all sodium chloride and not mixed with sodium hydrogen carbonate, would you need to add a little less or a little more hydrochloric acid to the reaction? Explain your dedision."
Any quick help on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks for the suggestions. I've pretty much got down all the metals and non metals on the PT...as well as everything else for that matter, it's mainly knowing how to find all the charges now...
P.S. I know, Jack should've gone through with it . I can't imagine the new season without CTU...it's going to be interesting.
