the absolute value ok, let us forget it in this question, distances and magnitude of displacement are equal... right?

of course Distance is the scalar but displacement is the vector ... in other words, Distance is the absolute value of the displacement.. for example, someone walked 3 km and the walked back the 3 km, then distance will be 6 km but displacement will be zero.... is my answer right ?
