    • I want Hillary, and Hillary will win.
    • I want Hillary, but Trump will win.

    • Don't know don't care.
    • May the lesser of the two evils win.
    • Huh? I want pizza.

Both are great candidates. Neither are young so I doubt either will do more than one term in office but I could be wrong. Clinton would have more experience in politics than Trump but given the fact there has never been a female American president odds aren't in her favour. Certainly Clinton as president would demonstrate that women have just as many rights as men in America. Trump is a businessman he speaks his mind and while that is an admirable thing it is not necessarily the best quality for a president to have.

Shame.

This is the part even admins can't change in IP Board. To make the poll private, I have to delete the old one and create a new one.

See, other than useful for others to evaluate what you think, I never understood while speaking ones mind is such a great thing?

Isn't there a name for things like this? Where it sounds like a great thing, but in reality not so much? Like using "common sense", when we all know how subjective and uncommon it can be. Or saying something is "logical" when you really mean, "Oh, I understood that!"

It's like saying Trump being a businessman would make him a good president. He's admitted that dodging taxes, withholding payments, renegotiating signed contracts in order to get better deals after the work's been done, all these things are "smart business". How does him being a businessman make him a good president? He'll continue to be a businessman afterwards, do you think he's going to suddenly be an advocate of paying his fair share, dealing fairly, and not reducing everything down to profit?

It's fine normally but Trump has basically said he would have Clinton behind bars to her face. Can you imagine Trump getting annoyed with a foreign president or two on tv???

Doesn't need to be on TV, diplomatic blunders can have consequences, after all, politicians are (mostly) only human. Also with it being fine really depends on context. You may think that a person is unattractive/dumb/fat/spawn of the devil but what good does it do to tell him/her that in most circumstances? Other than one being insulting, that is.

I think his basic assumption is that he can continue his bullying practice in politics. The issue there is that you can bankrupt smaller companies with lawsuits but I am not sure what the equivalent between nations would be. Hopefully not the military. That would be genuinely scary.

World peace would be a goal, probably not going to happen if either one of the canadiates gets elected. All I know is that it ain't gonna be a pretty 4 years.

No pizza option then?

Shame.

You missed the don't know and don't care options. :)

There.

I'm not from the USA. I voted don't know, don't care.

The better liar wins, everyone else loses.

Mm. Don't worry, this election will only effect you live in the USA, Canada, MEXICO, China, Japan, UK, Russia, rest of the first world countries, etc. You know. Nothing big.

That's right.

Seeing how Donald wants to kill NAFTA, that means no more oil from Canada. No grain, no softwood lumber either. Once ceased, all imports from the USA will cease immediately.

America doesn't need trade partners, because they'll be great again.

Not to mention on 35% tax rate on any trade left.

Yes, sir. Just like the pre-2000 era, when both Canada and USA impose high counter-veil duties. USA agriculture is highly subsidized and with the loss of trade will need more subsidy.

No foreign leader is willing to deal with a leader who claims "America first" as the terms of reference for any negotiation.

Canada will build a wall and make America pay for it.

God save us all.

And if Hillary wins.

Well, I'll say hi to the UK and just step back when the war starts.

she doesn't believe Isis is mean, but that they just want jobs in an equal market, like America.

That's right. And unfettered access to assault weapons, religious ideologies instilled into government and women subjected to incubators for the state.

Like Republicans.

I must admit I would like to see Hillary in her acceptance speech turn to her secret service detail and say with that cold hard look she has (and I am a fan): "OK - find that scum-sucking orange-faced sexual predator and fly him off to Guantanamo - no need to plan for the return trip"

But then we are the good guys and that won't happen. Oh, Trump and the GOP will continue to try to derail the train of state, try to impeach the new President, frustrate the will of the people, and generally act like spoilt children who have failed to get their own way - but we will and we must treat them with the respect their position deserves.

Except if we win then you simply turn trump to Hillary, and republicans to democrats. And vice versa.

Incubators for the state? Wtf..... Sorry for the language but where the hell do you live????

...

My point is that when there has been a Republican President there has been a general mood of sullen cooperation from the opposition and realisation that things still need to get done - but when there has been a Democrat President the opposition have used fair means but mainly foul means to stop any progress (even items they would normally and rationally agreee with). The response of the Democrats and the response of the Republican whilst in opposition and whilst in power has been vastly different - sometimes I imagine it would be fun to play the bad guys and frankly Hillary Clinton would make the best Bad M*****F***** President.
