swansont Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 http://maps.google.com/maps?q=33409&ll=26.899467,-80.074561&spn=0.010772,0.015836&t=k&hl=en Is this another one? Looks like it's from a water droplet on a lens. But is that something that would happen in the satellites?
Ollie Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I've just found another one: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=33409&ll=26.803894,-80.130072&spn=0.032530,0.042658&t=k&hl=en Looks like it's from a water droplet on a lens. But is that something that would happen in the satellites? Shouldnt be. Any water should evaporate off, and any optical enclosure would probably be kept at a vacuum too.
rajama Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I scanned north thinking it was unlikely that someone would find the only one and that it was systematic fault - there may be repeat number..?

RedAlert Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 hohoho... omg - the second reference goes on forrrrrreverrrrrrr... UFOs???!!! Woh...I don't think so. What if we ask google?
j_p Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 They are all ~ half blue grey, half white; round; above when appears to be residential buildings. The first is different; the "line" between the colors does not run left/right; it does not line up with shadows from the buildings; and it runs parallel with rather than perpendicular to the closest body of water. They are either reflections from the inside of a webber grill cover or lost helium balloons from a child's birthday party.
Dak Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I emailed google asking if they knew anything about them.
