Just some novice chemist Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Hey guys, I need some nitric acid to refine gold and probably some other experiments but I can not find a good source to get it. So if anybody knows one it would be much appreciated if you let me know.
Sensei Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) Nitric acid you can create from air, and water. Just build device. Edited December 6, 2016 by Sensei -1
Elite Engineer Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Nitric acid you can create from air, and water. Just build device. You can also go to the moon if you build a "device" as well. 1
Sensei Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 (edited) You can also go to the moon if you build a "device" as well. Quite silly comparison to be honest.. It could be made in few minutes from couple capacitors and rectifying diodes, 230 VAC, and wires put in jar with water below it (and extraordinary patience)... Edited December 6, 2016 by Sensei
Jessek Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 This may be a bit late but you can... Mix a nitrate salt and sulfuric acid and distill it over, a video goes over this in more detail on nurd rage YouTube. Also, there are some reactions with hydrochloric acid that will produce it. Lastly, you can order some from united nucleur but I believe that the price is pretty high.
John Cuthber Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 It could be made in few minutes ... (and extraordinary patience)... which?
Nature Geek Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 You can purchase nitric acid from any of several laboratory and chemical suppliers, such as Fisher Scientific. However, since nitric acid can also be used to make explosives, you might be asked to demonstrate the nature of your business if you are not a past customer of these suppliers.
