swansont Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Maybe it would be better titled "EM Dimension", all I know is that it is the realm that superposition takes place. PLEASE humor me and pretend such a thing could exist. Are there any other flaws to it other than you not being taught it in school? Would a working EMDrive be proof of this layer? That's not how this works. If you think it exists you need to present evidence of it. A model. Make predictions that can confirm or falsify it. This is a science discussion, and you're describing badly conceived science fiction. You haven't explained the connection between this alleged dimension and the EM drive, so why would that be evidence it's right?
pittsburghjoe Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 Why hasn't it occurred to anyone that the EM spectrum is it's own dimension? Did we not think it was special enough to warrant such praise? I think the current double slit experiment is all I need to prove that it is a new-to-us dimension.
Strange Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Why hasn't it occurred to anyone that the EM spectrum is it's own dimension? Perhaps because it is a random collection of words with no semantic content? Perhaps you need to explain, in detail, what you mean by "its own dimension".

Because the people who do this for a living (and did more than read pop-sci articles to learn the subject) know that you aren't describing a dimension.
pittsburghjoe Posted December 31, 2016 Author Posted December 31, 2016 Think inside the box ..those quantum waves ..are em waves.
Strange Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Think inside the box ..those quantum waves ..are em waves. What, even the ones that aren't electromagnetic? 1
Phi for All Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 It's a new-to-us dimension. Pre-existing concepts can carry on with what they know if they want to. An EMDrive might be exploiting this superdimention and be the proof that I need. ! Moderator Note pittsburghjoe, you've failed to support your speculation in accordance with the rules of this section. Further, your continued attempts to redefine familiar terms like "dimension" lead you down the same untenable paths. You have no special intuition that allows you to skip studying science basics. I'm not sure where you got the idea that was possible, other than wishful thinking. Thread closed.
