Randolpin Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 We gaze at the stars in the sky and wonder why it look that way, why it has that specific properties. It's just the result of anthropic principle? Many questions pop out from my mind, with regards to this questionning...
The Almighty Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 I would say humans are consequence rather than cause.
dimreepr Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 In answer to the title: why not? In answer to this "It's just the result of anthropic principle?": Why?
Itoero Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 (edited) We are part of the universe. Conscious life is imo a way for the universe to look at itself. Edited January 23, 2017 by Itoero
Eise Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Reality is the way it is, because otherwise it would be different. 1
RiceAWay Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 Reality isn't an abstract thing. Reality is an agreed upon understanding of the world around us that can be tested and arrive at the same results all of the time.
AnthonyShell Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I think this is a mystery, that we can't still fully understand, even in this age. But that's just the personal opinion of a beginning student, nothing to be taken seriously at all.
LizW12 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Reality is the way it is, because otherwise it would be different. Mind blown
Eise Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Mind blown Oh, sorry for the collateral damage: I only wanted to blow Randolpin's mind. Maybe it did, because he did not return to this thread...

cladking Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 It's a mystery we'll never understand, because the question doesn't make sense. Indeed! Before asking such questions it would make sense to try to understand the reality that does exist. Perhaps there are only two possibilities; reality or nothing at all. With "nothing at all" meaning no time, no space, no energy, and no matter. In the first case our knowledge is still infinitesimal and the second, it's a moot question. Perhaps there's only one possibility.
Itoero Posted February 6, 2017 Posted February 6, 2017 Oh, sorry for the collateral damage: I only wanted to blow Randolpin's mind. Maybe it did, because he did not return to this thread...Then you did a bad blowjob. I'm sorry, I had to say that.
