Liquid Nitrogen Dewar

I am currently trying to find a cheap liquid nitrogen dewar to do some experiments with. Where would be the cheapest place to get a small dewar? I am located in Michigan if prices are region based and where to get them.

How small is small?

The ones they sell for people who want hot coffee while hill-walking are actually pretty good.

We always used to use polystyrene buckets for small short ish term storage and use.

I was under the impression that you needed a dewar to get LN2 from a industrial supply company.

We had our own manufacturing plant (mostly for the liquid helium) so don't know about that, sorry.

One has to be a bit careful though. If one seals them tightly, they might shatter.

A loose, makeshift bung made from cork or polystyrene should resolve that I reckon.

That is what many use. One should also make sure that the inner lining can survive the temp shift.
