Alligator Posted July 4, 2005 Posted July 4, 2005 I think photons could have a mass - but then again, since they travel at the speed of light, they should be massless. Thus, you could have an argument either way for a velocity.
DQW Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 light can be bent in an optical fiber, but it does not get slowed down. Ouch !1. Light is not "bent" in an optical fiber. It is reflected internally. 2. It does get slowed down.
