I think photons could have a mass - but then again, since they travel at the speed of light, they should be massless. Thus, you could have an argument either way for a velocity.

light can be bent in an optical fiber, but it does not get slowed down.
Ouch !

1. Light is not "bent" in an optical fiber. It is reflected internally.

2. It does get slowed down.
