Once you supply sufficient air to a certain flow of gas that's hot as it will go so you need to increase the fuel rate to match the increased air supply.

That's ok. There will be a top limit to how hot it can go and you'd have to use a hotter burning type of gas to get hotter.

There is a way to get a hotter flame- preheat the air and gas.
