Guest barry_va Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 Stories get spread like jam on toast . . and what is really true is left to ones research - basically the same 2 stories keep popping up - a friend of mine lives up in Northern Canada near where the bear in these pictures was taken - there is also a corpse they found nearby that was the scond person he allegedly killed. Be forwarned this is true life and grusome... The email from my friend: WARNING: The Ted3 picture is not for queasy people The following pictures are of a guy who works for the Forest Service in Alaska. He was out deer hunting. A large world record Grizzly charged him from about 50 yards away. The guy unloaded a 7mm mag semi-auto into the bear and it dropped a few feet from him. The thing was still alive so he reloaded and capped it in the head. It was over one thousand six hundred pounds, and 12' 6" high at the shoulder. It's a world record. The bear had killed a couple of other people. Of course, the game department did not let him keep it. Think about it. This thing on its hind legs could walk up to the average single story house and could look on the roof at eye level. Also his last meal was human. The corpse laying on the ground was his last meal.
Sayonara Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 The image of the bear's human meal is not suited to the public forums, ta.
blike Posted May 26, 2003 Posted May 26, 2003 Just PM it to whoever wanted it. Sayo's right, it was a bit tasteless for public forums. Actually I heard that image was a pack of dogs on an already dead body, not a bear attack. I could be wrong though. I'd think a bear would take a bit more than a calf....
