sure, Temperature and Light/Dark periods are typical examples.

 

more dark and cooler temps and you can fool a plant into "thinking" it`s nearly winter, time to make seeds, inversely the opposite can be true with higher temps and longer "Days".

 

a plant "looks" at weather patterns as it "clock", there are Other factors too, but those are the 2 main contributors :)
