Robots have been taking jobs for years for these reasons. Bigger effect than jobs going overseas.
EdEarl Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 In the limit, if robots and AI take all jobs, and people have no money, capitalism fails because no one can buy anything.
ProgrammingGodJordan Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 In the limit, if robots and AI take all jobs, and people have no money, capitalism fails because no one can buy anything. What of universal basic income?
Ken Fabian Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Perhaps the robots should pay taxes on their relative "earnings" rather than be a deductable expense for those that purchase and use them in place of people.
EdEarl Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 What of universal basic income? It might work, but Republicans are opposed to social services, among other things.
felpeyu2 Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 This is a very interesting issue. Robots taking over human jobs wouldn't be a problem. The problem are not the robots, but the humans: the humans that rule the world. More robots would mean less work hours with I think it is a good issue if this suppose less working hours for humans. So the issue here is how we reshape society.
