robertk1997 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 For some reason I just literally can not figure this out, my brain has hit a wall even though I know it's so simple... So I have 25,000mg of binder and I have 250mg of active ingredient. All I need to know is what is the ratio, how do I figure out how much active ingredient is in x amount. Lets assume I wanted like 3 mg worth of active ingredient, how much would I have to scoop from the mixture to get that?
Country Boy Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 With 25000 mg of binder and 250 mg of active ingredient you have a total of 25250 mg of mixture. The active ingredient is 250/25250= 0.0099 or 0.99% of the mixture. To find the amount of mixture that contains 3 mg of active ingredient, solve 0.0099x= 3 for x. x= 3/.0099= 303 mg.
